I've unfortunately had several hiccups with this restaurant- none of which received remotely close to appropriate customer service. First- I received a sandwich with literal pieces of blue glove in it. They refunded my order, but did not apologize. Then, I returned months later to redeem the rewards I had earned in the app. I ordered for curbside and waiting over 15 minutes before going inside to ask about my order. Communication was horrendous. I only know the following because I overheard two employees chatting- they gave my order to the wrong person and had to remake it. Burgers are mediocre, dry, and thin. . I sat at the right hand side of the drive-through for almost 15 minutes before I went inside after I saw everybody else on the left side getting their food. Should be re-named "Wait-a-Burger" because it's going to be about 45 minutes to an hour before you get your order. When you wanna grab fast food, you go for the convenience and the cheap food. I don't know if it's just this location but the service is the slowest that I've ever encountered at any fast food joint. You think ordering online ahead of time will save you time but the estimated pick up is ALWAYS WRONG--you'd probably have time to go to Target and catch a movie before your food is ready. The food is okay--but definitely not worth the wait. The last time I was there, I pulled out of line and went to the Wendy's next door (which also had a long line but went super fast and I was probably home by the time I ever got to even order if I had waited at Whataburger!) For my first time at Whataburger I was not impressed by the food. The manager was running the register and order was placed and rang in correctly. She was friendly and helped with suggestions. That was the end of the good. When the food was delivered to our table, our order was missing the Onion Rings. Then my sandwich, which was the Avocado Bacon Burger, was made incorrectly according to the receipt. Plus it was luke warm. I was under the impression that they did not make the burgers until an order was placed but based on the burger I received, I don't think this is the cast. Anyways, I had them remake my burger which was a little better but still not hot for being a remake. Onion rings finally showed up and they were fresh and hot but full of oil. So much oil that when you bit into them, the oil dripped (or should I say poured out). We also had a Patty Melt and a S&S Bacon Burger that were luke warm as well. I will try it again to compare to see if this was a one time issue but based on this first impression - I was NOT impressed. read more

The employees are very good workers, they keep the food presentable and delicious, keep the restaurant very clean, and are just quality people in general. Terrible and I never got to try the food. Went in to the dining room to avoid the drive thru line. Ordered at 8:14 with my two boys. At 8:45 I asked the nice young woman at the counter what was going on. She said nothing and turned and walked to the back. She came back and whispered something. I asked her to repeat herself three times. Finally I heard her say "sorry there were five orders ahead of yours." So I asked how much longer. She left again and came back and said 10 minutes. I went back to the table and we decided to bail out. I asked for a refund which they gave. I asked to see a manager and the young lady said, "I speak on behalf of the manager." I just shook my head and she said their system backed up. None of it made sense. 45 minutes and no food, no apology, no personality, no training clearly for the staff who were like deer in headlights. This was our first experience in Whataburger and I never got to eat the food. I'm from California, so In n Out is it for me, but I had high hopes. I went through the drive through at this location as I was transporting my husband from the hospital to an inpatient Rehab center. He had surgery and had been an inpatient for 7 days so of course, we were wanting a good meal before he was admitted for rehab. There were 6 cars in the drivethru window. We waited 40 minutes in line to get our order. Probably only 4 cars in parking lot for dining in area. I love Whataburger being from Texas and eating there multiple times and I have even come to this Whataburger and had a great experience however, this was ridiculous. If you are this short staffed that it takes 40 minutes to serve 6 cars, you need to close the doors for the shift until you can get enough folks to run it properly. In addition, the drink I ordered had obviously been prepared when I ordered it and sat until I finally made it to the window which left it watered down and the ice melting. Disgusting. We placed our order on the app b/c we expected them to be busy during lunch. Even though the online order stated that we would be dining in, they couldn't seem to grasp that concept. When the food was brought to me (standing in the designated "pick up" spot), it was in bags, as if I would be taking it "to go" even though I had twice said we were dining in. But the biggest issue I had was our beverages. We ordered a small and a large beverage and both were filled to the top with ice. Now, we spent $5+ for two beverages and had we not have been dining in, we would have gotten MAYBE 12 oz of beverage between the two. That is a rip off!!
