This location isn't the best Whataburger experienced I have had. This place is usually always busy, and the service is sub par. Even the drive- thru line is long.. and they have two lanes! This location deserves 2 stars at best... but the food is typical awesome Whataburger fare! Delicious. The food is always fresh, cooked there on the spot. I'd rather wait for my burger than have my burger waiting for me! My favorite there is the #2. Two all beef patties, lettuce, tomatoes, and their sauteed onions on a Their jalapenos are delicious. This is because, this was what was ordered for us High School Football players back in the day. It's tradition. I think every highschool program in the great state of Texas stopped to eat at a Whataburger after every away game! Tell me I'm wrong! It's hard to break tradition. I think that is why Whataburger excelled as the best burger chain in Texas. It's ingrained in the small town Texas feel. They've got especially tasty sweet tea, and you get unlimited refills while dining there. I especially love the fact that they spicy ketchup! The stuff is delicious, and I could eat it on everything. Ordered $40 in food including a 9 piece chicken bite meal only to find out once we got home that they failed to even cook one of the chicken pieces. It was completely raw. My daughter who was eating the meal and is 9 months pregnant was immediately disgusted and threw up. Everyone else was scared to eat their food because we are sure the same oil that had the raw chicken was also used to cook the rest of the other food. So none ate any of their meals. We tried calling the store AND the general manager MULTIPLE times but they couldn't bother to even answer the phone. We finally decided to drive the almost 30 minute drive back to the restaurant just to talk to someone and show them what they had given us. The manager actually started to imply that we put the raw strip in the meal because"we ordered a bite meal and a chicken strip shouldn't even be included with it". He then offered to refund the cost of the chicken bite meal only even though we had told him that no one was able to eat their food because of this. When I told him that I needed a full refund of the $40 he told me that it was IMPOSSIBLE for him to refund me anything over $25 because if he did then he would "have to write a report". I told him that he actually NEEDED to write a report and I actually should be calling the health department instead of trying to deal with him. After that he decided to call the GM and see if she would okay the refund. She told him to take the chicken and receipt from me and that she would call me sometime tomorrow. When he informed me that he needed the chicken because it was a safety issue for him to let me keep it I told him I would NOT be giving it back because that is my only evidence. He never even offered to remake the meal or anything! The area manager contacted us today and told us that he would need to talk to someone "higher up" just to refund $40! Then told my son in law that maybe they should speak at a later time when he wasn't upset. I know for a fact that cashiers are trained ed on how to give refunds so it shouldn't take someone from corporate to refund $40!!!! I still haven't received a call from the general manager as promised and no one seems to want to do their jobs at the Shadow Creek Whataburger in Pearland TX. My wife and I came here on April 26, 2017 at 6:30 P.M. We made our order then sat there for ten minutes waiting for our supper. It was not busy. I went up to the counter and pointed this out to a guy named J'Kolbe. Without hesitation, he made it right and offered us something on the house. Very professional and courteous. Very proud of this young man. Although he is only doing his job, we have been to other places where the employees had gotten attitudes for the same thing. This location is so bad I have to tell myself there isn't a Whataburger near my house and I could literally walk to this location. I'm not expecting the best burger or the quickest service. Often the problem is the meat is just not juicy or hot. Many times we have waited for a while in the drive-thru and that's fine because it's common for Whataburger's but the food always comes out fresh and hot, not at this location quite the opposite... TL;DR - bad management, sloppy employees. Right when I came in, the manager left the register for an extended chat with her visiting friends. Not very professional, but everyone deserves a break, right? But no one took over the register; I stood there waiting while 3 people fumbled with cups. My girlfriend ordered a dry whataburger with mayo. It came out with mustard and mayo. I could care less about customer service, but being ignored and then ruining both orders is too much. The couple at the next table was muttering about how long it took to prepare their order, so I wasn't the only one annoyed. The double drive-thru is beyond ridiculous. People in the back were getting their food before the people in the front. I even saw an employee tell the front person to move so the people behind him can go. Boy was he pissed, and his tires screeched as he moved in 2 seconds. We EVENTUALLY got our food. We had asked for picante sauce when we first ordered to save time, but they forgot it (how hard is their job, seriously?). She went to go get it... IN SLOW MOTION.
