Whenever we walked in for dinner around half the tables were full of people and service was still very fast. The interior of the restaurant is nice but nothing too standout from other Chinese restaurants. We got cream cheese puffs, house spicy wide noodle soup, a chicken dish, soup dumplings, cream baos , and a fish dish, and all of it was fairly good. My least favorite was the cheese puffs, which were incredibly hot but I didn't find much very special about either the filling nor the crunchy wrapper. My next critique is their handmade noodles. It is personal preference, but I prefer my noodles to be a lot more chewy and on the more al dente side of things, rather than the more soft noodles we got (both the wide and the original noodles). As for what I liked, it was just about everything else we got. The house noodle soup was nice and comforting, not being super heavy but still carrying good flavor (I would ask for the regular version and add in spice after tasting the broth). Both the fish and chicken dishes that we got were very interesting and I especially enjoyed the lightness of the fish dish. The soup dumplings we got were very flavorful, well balanced, and had a very bouncy yet soft wrapper texture. The cream baos, though admittedly lacking some vanilla and texture consistency across each bao, were still really good and comparable to ones you'd find in Bellaire. We have came a few times before and the food has been consistently delicious. The portions are always very generous and full of flavor. Staff is always so welcoming and kind, we always feel so welcomed here. It's usually not busy which surprises me because it is such a good place. I hope people find them and keep them busy because it's such a great place to eat at. Definitely worth the drive and your money is well spent here. I have been to the Noodle Master location in Pasadena several times years ago, but they have since been "temporarily closed" for at least the past couple years...due to a "fire." Hmm. So I'm glad this one in Pearland opened up fairly recently and we got to go here with good friends! The place was bustling on a Monday night with several diners coming in and out and various takeout orders being made. We skipped the dumplings and went straight for the plates. We ordered the Dry Fried Spicy Popcorn Chicken, Mabo Tofu, Ground Pork with Bean Sauce Dry Noodles, and the Mix Flavor Eggplant. The Dry Fried Spicy Popcorn Chicken came out as a huge portion - this is a must-do anytime we get Szechuan food. The chicken was crispy and the side of rice was served on the plate. The Mabo (Mapo? never seen it spelled that way) Tofu was flavorful. It had a good spice to it and was big enough to share. The Ground Pork with Bean Sauce noodles was tasty - the pork paired well with the bean sauce and the dish was topped with sliced cucumbers and peanuts, which made me connect this as a sibling dan dan noodles. The mix flavor eggplant as seasoned really well and was a nice veggie to balance out the other meats we ordered. I expected this to just be a stir fry dish of sauced eggplant, but to my surprise, it was served on top of their signature handmade noodles. Service was friendly and efficient. Our food started coming out within 5 minutes of ordering and the servers kept our waters filled. The only disappointment here was that we asked for scissors to cut the long hand-pulled noodles; they gave us a knife because they didn't have any clean scissors. NOT THE SAME. We hinted that if a pair of scissors happened to get cleaned, we'd love to get it, but we never did unfortunately. So we struggled and played spaghetti with our noods, not necessarily a bad thing. Towards the end of our meal, there were still a few tables dining in, and our table stayed to chat a bit. The staff had no problem with this and even still refilled our waters after we checked out. Noodle Master is probably the best Chinese around. Chinese language channels on the TV and a restaurant full of Asian clientele lets you know you're in the right place. The service is excellent, and the restaurant is always sparkling clean. I like taking our team here for work lunches. The teas are excellent, as are the dumplings. Very, very good. read more

We visited Noodle Master for the first time this past weekend and really enjoyed it! We went a little bit earlier than typical dinner time, so the restaurant was not very busy, but by the time we left, it had filled up quite a bit. They have a really extensive menu with a ton of options to choose from, so we did have a challenging time deciding. We ended up starting with fried chicken spring rolls and steamed pork dumplings. The fried chicken spring rolls for me were more like a Chinese eggroll than the spring rolls that I've had before, but they were still tasty. The dumplings ended up being the absolute best thing we ate, nearly as good as ones that we've had in China. For our entrées, I got the spicy pork dry noodle, and my husband got the sesame chicken with noodles. The spicy pork dry noodle had an incredibly lovely Szechuan spice and a really nice flavor. The size was so big that it definitely could fed a single person for three meals. It was the same thing with my husband's sesame chicken, the entrée was just enormous. He didn't even eat half of it! We ended up taking more than half of our food home and having it the next day for lunch, so I would say that the value was really good, as well, considering this. Had an enjoyable lunch here with a few friends. We were seated immediately and the ladies who work here are quite friendly and patient. My party trickled in due to the rain, and they never rushed us to order. For four of us we got: *House Special Beef Noodle Soup - very tasty and hit the spot on a rainy day *XLB - definitely need to eat these hot and be careful not to puncture them before they are in your spoon. *Pan Fried Samsam Dumplings - definitely a good choice, that was recommended by one of the ladies *Pork with green onion Bao - pretty good! *Big Plate Chicken with Dry Noodle - the description couldn't be more accurate. As many times as I have come through, I am surprised I haven't written a review. Go here. The space used to house Little Tokyo Sushi, which was bomb but didn't get the traffic it needed and had pretty bad service. It has since been renovated to house Noodle Master, with a fuller view of the kitchen behind the counter. You get dinner, and a show! The place is smaller, and during rush times, there is a line. The staff, all of them, have been really good. They are friendly, courteous, and they are extremely attentive to needs. Over the last couple years, we have sampled much of their menu: S9. Dry Fried Spicy Chicken Popcorn A staple of our visits, this gets ordered almost every time we go. They are indeed spicy, some times more than others. They are crispy on the outside and tender in the middle, cooked perfectly. The chili peppers are crunchy, and the flavor is absolutely fire. I do eat both chicken and peppers. It comes in a very good portion. S6. Mabo Tofu Another as staple, and absolute favorite whenever I go out to new places. This one usually comes through with a subtle heat that builds as you eat. Very flavorful, also great portions. S2. Orange Chicken/Tofu This is one of their most flavorful and popular items. It does not have the thick glaze you might find at other places, and comes in a. Very good portion bring friends to help. S7. Mongolian We have had this with chicken and beef, both have been fantastic! This would be an excellent counter balance if you get a spicy dish to help neutralize some of the heat. I personally enjoy some fire, but for those looking. Noodle Master hands down has the best noods in Pearland. If you are a Chinese food fanatic like me, this place will be right up your alley. I went to their original location deep inside Pasadena years ago and went back frequently. When they opened up this location close to my house, I was more than excited though it did take awhile for me to check them out. It sits in the corner of a big shopping strip so parking is plentiful. That being said, at peak times, Noodle Master can get busy along with the other businesses so pack your patience as far as parking and wait times go. Customer service was great on my visit. From my visits to their original location, I have tried quite a few items from their menu. On my first visit here, I came with my good friends and fellow Yelpers Jason D and Lyndsey N and we came up with a game plan quick. We skipped apps and went entree heavy. A must order here is the Dry Fried Spicy Chicken. It stays on repeat when I visit NM while I try new other items when I can. This chicken dish is absolutely delicious. They take diced up chicken and lightly fry it with dry chili peppers. Some may pick out the peppers but I try and get a few in every bite. It adds texture and that numbing heat that I enjoy. It's almost one part chicken and one part pepper so some peppers do get pushed to the side. You can get rice or their famous hand pulled noodles with your dish. If you desire, you can watch them make the noodles from the dining room. The process always impresses me. I like the rice and noodles. They both pair well with most of the dishes. We also got got Mongolian Beef which is a new to me dish at this restaurant. It is a mountain of thinly sliced beef stir fried with red peppers, white and green onions, and tossed in a slightly sweet Mongolian sauce. It was great with white rice. The last dish was something new to all of us which was the Cumin Beef. I've had similar interpretations of this dish at other like restaurants. They do it really well here. It is packed with flavor and very delicious. Noodle Master may have ruined other Chinese food spots in Pearland for me. It is that good. If you like the malal numbing spice that comes with Schezuan food, you HAVE to go to Noddle Master. I could probably eat here every day and never grow tired of it. A lot of people get their spicy noodle soup, but I prefer their other dishes. My go to order is the spicy popcorn chicken with rice and the Mongolian beef with hand pulled noodles. Regardless of the order, one of them has to be with the hand pulled noodles. They're chewy and fresh, perfect with whatever you're eating with. The popcorn chicken is fresh, spicy and crispy. It's spicier than other Schezuan places so just keep that in mind. We've also ordered the orange chicken and sweet and sour chicken. It tastes like your typical Chinese-American dish but the sweetness helps offset the spicy of the other foods. The portions are huge so plan to take some leftovers home. read more

Noodle Master was delicious!! Dropped in on a random Saturday afternoon at the recommendation of some fellow yelp elites. Restaurant was very big and service was quick. There was a window at the back of the restaurant where you can see the chefs making the hand pulled noodles. We had a fun time watching them stretch out the noodles which were then the same noodles brought out to us right after. Many of us ordered the spicy house special been noodle soup- some of us got thin and some with thick noodles. I personally loved the thin noodles- they were so chewy and bouncy. The soup itself was also full of flavor. I think next time I would order the non spicy and just add my own chili oil at the table because they said its the same thing they use in the back. The spicy order was just a tad bit too spicy for me. Portions here are so big. I had more than enough for my meal and brought a whole second meal back home. I would pack the noodles and broth separately because otherwise the noodles would get soggy in the to go container. Continuing our Asian noodle tour, led us to this location while visiting Pearland. We arrived at nearly two o'clock on a Sunday afternoon and found a full dining room except for one small table. Good sign. We were immediately offered the small table which we happily took and perused the extensive menu. Choices! We quickly ordered some pan fried dumplings and they did not disappoint. They came with a fiery chili sauce but the table had all the other accoutrements. We ended up ordering a more common Chinese meal of Mongolian beef and Mongolian chicken but were pleased to find we could order hand pulled noodles in lieu of rice and they were epic! Service was on par, with a larger, more spacious table offered when it became available. We declined but our server was not happy with our small table and carried another table to its side. Some of our fellow Yelp elite friends told us about this place and we happened to be passing through the area in search of a meal. I am happy to report that Noddle Master is legit. We tried the combination fried noodles, spicy beef noodle soup, and spicy beef slices. Everything was very delicious. The fresh hand pulled noodles indeed make a difference. One thing to point out is that the beef noodle soup is not a Taiwanese style beef noodle soup, but more so a northern Chinese, light broth style--delicious nonetheless. The service of this family run and family oriented restaurant isn't what you would expect from a normal sit down restaurant, and that's ok! Typically in Chinatown, the worse the service, the better the food. Thankfully this isn't the case at Noodle Master as the service was very quick and friendly. I will definitely be back whenever I'm in the area, and I will be adding Noodle Master to my shortlist of hidden gems in Houston. read more

Went with some coworkers for lunch on a cold winter afternoon. Parking was easy and there was plenty of space. Service was quick and portions were ginormous. The mongolian beef wasn't as it was pictured so when I opened my container I was a little disappointed. But, the taste made up for it. I ordered stirred fried noodles with mongolian beef, a seaweed salad, and sour cucumbers. Everything was delicious and satisfying. The prices are worth it because the amount of food you get in one serving is enough to split into two servings. I didn't have to wait long for my order. Omg just ordered take out from here and they exceeded my expectations! I was expecting some basic Chinese food but this was beyond my expectations! The fried rice was so fresh! Full of fresh scallions and green onions. I ordered the orange chicken and it was so fresh! The chicken was not overcooked they used white chicken strips and the orange flavor was sweet, gooey and citrusy! I also ordered the dumplings and they were so delicious! The pork had so much flavor and the juice in the dumplings was so flavorful! My only gripe was that they didn't include soy sauce or a sauce for the dumplings but the food was so good and well seasoned I didn't even miss it! This is definitely my new take out spot! The shredded carrots that came with the noodles were certainly unexpected, but didn't really add or take away from anything flavor-wise House special beef soup (4/5): tasty but nothing that really distinguishes it from the beef noodle soup you'd get from other Chinese noodle restaurants for a lower price. Wish it had some woodear mushrooms or some other vegetables too Xiaolong bao (4/5): also satisfying but again, tastes just like the xiao long bao you can get at other similar restaurants Eggplant (4/5): ordered the Szechuan flavor and it was pretty good, though seemed to be missing something, maybe some more salt or soy sauce? The presentation was genius and deceptive because this huge plate comes out and all you see is eggplant, but once you look underneath, you'll see a big pile of noodles (or rice if you choose rice instead of noodles). Went out for a spontaneous meal with some friends while cramming for an exam. We originally wanted to go to a new Korean soondubu restaurant but they were closed for the day for maintenance. We decided to go to noodle master in Pearland instead. My friend recommended the noodles here. I wasn't feeling soup so I decided to get the dry spicy noodle, which is their version of hand pulled chili oil noodles. You have to stir and mix the bowl up a lot to mix the chili powder and oil together with all the noodles. Since the noodles are wide, they take in the sauce easily and make great vessels of flavor. I also love how they add a ton of garlic into this. The noodles were long, chewy, and had a nice flavor from the chili oil again. I also for the lamb pita burger. The lamb was so flavorful with a ton of cumin spice. The breading itself could've been more crispy but they conveniently made it a pocket to hold all the meat. 5th time or so eating here and just realized that I have yet to review it. It joys me to see the Asian cuisine scene booming in Pearland, especially when it's an authentic Chinese establishment. Really delicious authentic Chinese noodles, and surprisingly, delicious ramen as well (not usually what Chinese restaurants are known for). My go-to is the spicy house special beef noodle soup which has consistently packed a flavorful punch every time. The beef had just the right tenderness and once I fully mix in the chili oil, I never find myself needing to add extra seasoning. This dish meets a standard you'd expect at major Chinatowns such as Bellaire or Katy. My friend ordered the spicy Black Tonkotsu Ramen, and she was very pleased to see that this place does not skimp on the chashu. I had a taste of the broth which was interesting -- not the usual tangy flavor that I'm used to, but definitely still welcome. Portions were more than enough. Chances of you asking for a to-go box is medium to high. Based on both previous reviews and my own experience, I recommend starting off with Chinese noodles (e.g. not ramen) if it's your first time. That's what really makes this restaurant shine. A helpful rule of thumb for Asian noodle soups in general: it's best not to drink the entirety of the broth even though the flavor makes it tempting. It's packed with sodium and every time I finish more than 1/2 of the broth, I get left with a persistent dull headache for several hours. read more

I walked into this restaurant on a Friday evening and it was quite busy. They were short on staff so it took a while to get my orders in or a refill on water. Luckily, the food came out good. The orange chicken was freshly fried and the batter was crispy. I could definitely taste the orange flavor in the dish since it was very strong. The rice was alright: a little bit on the hard side. The steamed dumplings were okay, though. The filling had a bit sourness to it which I didn't find appealing unless that's how they usually make it. The dough wrapping you could tell it was handmade. I have no complaints about the scallion pancakes. I got the Xiaolongbao in the afternoon on a different visit. Unfortunately, those weren't too great.
