General TSO'S chicken & Egg Roll

We are new to the Pelham area and did a search for good Chinese food. This place came up and they did not disappoint! The food was super fresh and tastes great! We will most definitely go back and highly recommend them.

No complaints here! Came for lunch. Really good lunch menu with lots to offer at reduced prices. I got the broccoli and chicken and my daughter got the sesame chicken. You can get white or fried rice. We both got fried. You can also get an egg roll with it. We both liked our food a lot. Service was great. They are really nice in there. I got the steak hibachi to go which comes with soup or salad. Hubby will have a nice dinner tonight. All told, it was 35 dollars. Frankly, I have spent as much at chik-fil-a for the three of us so I was quite happy with the price and we both took home leftovers.

Golden China is located in the Creekview Plaza and is an overall good restaurant with a friendly and professional staff. We all had a lunch special and added a hot and sour with seafood soup to our meals. The prices were decent and with the three of us were under sixty dollars. The ambiance is a bit spartan, but it was pleasant enough.

Second time- I had the shrimp hibachi lunch special . Shrimp were of medium size. Cooked to perfection with al dente veggies to accompany the sauce that compliments the dish with fried rice. A garden salad consisting of crisp iceberg lettuce and probably homemade ginger dressing.

Had this one saved to check out. The restaurant does take-out only and orders are placed at the window. This was a moment where I really didn't want a lot to eat, so I was glad to see they offered a "small" option for the hibachi. However, the menu has changed and the option is no longer available. Hearing me sigh, the young man I was speaking with showed me the kid's menu. I ordered the kid's Hibachi steak, which well done as I requested. It comes with fries or fried rice. I went with fried rice and added an egg roll. I walked the strip to see what other stores were in the area. As I looked up, maybe 10 minutes later, they were motioning me to get my order, which is placed in a box for limited contact. The food was fresh and still enough for leftovers. I have found another fave in the area.

After picking up a Facebook marketplace purchase we happened to pass this gem. We were both in the mood for Chinese and this place delivered! First off, they give you a yummy fried wonton app for free. I've never had that at a Chinese restaurant. Second, they had the best yum yum sauce I've ever had. It was so good! I ordered the sesame chicken. It was okay, definitely too sweet and not enough sesame seeds. I would have given them a three star review except I tried my husband's hibachi chicken and it had an amazing seasoning and flavor to it!! I tried to convince him to trade but he refused... I will definitely be getting that next time.

I've never had anything I didn't like there, and I'm not afraid to experiment because you absolutely cannot beat all-you-can eat sushi for $30. My favorite things on the menu are the dragon ball and the yellowtail jalapeno. The coconut shrimp are unique and also delicious. My youngest isn't much of a sushi eater yet, but even he has plenty of options-- he usually goes for hibachi-- the hibachi meat is solid; the rice and noodles, not so much. Their clear soup is the best I've had in the city-- very flavorful and quite a large bowl. The ambiance is nice, but the place is small, so it can get crowded. Service is always great, even when it's crazy busy in there.

Unfortunately, our table was very unsteady and wobbled every time we rested an arm or hand on it. We probably should have asked to move, but we did let the staff know before leaving. Thomas was our server. He was very pleasant, though he seemed fairly new. I asked twice for lemon for my water but never received it. He did check on us after our meals arrived to make sure everything tasted good. The food was fresh and delicious! I ordered the Fire Crunch Roll and the Alaska Roll. Both were good, but the Fire Crunch was definitely my favorite. My son ordered the salmon hibachi and received a very generous portion. After we finished eating and requested a small takeout container, we sat talking for several more minutes. When Thomas didn't return with our check, we eventually walked to the counter to pay. He then said he could take care of it at the table, but we were already standing there and ready to leave. It made the ending feel a little awkward, and in the confusion, I accidentally left my container of sushi on the bar. Such a bummer! Overall, we had a good meal, and the food was definitely the highlight. With a little more attention to the service details and that wobbly table, the experience could have been even better.

I went on an afternoon and was nervous because I didn't see any customers sitting in the restaurant, but I did see a lot of DoorDash (DD) drivers come by and pick up orders, so I'm glad that DD ordering is an option. I was immediately greeted and given a menu. I noticed that they have a lot of sushi options and will have to check that out next time. But for this visit, I decided to try the chicken and shrimp Pad Thai, with an order of spring rolls and steamed pot stickers. Everything was cooked to order and served fresh. The sauces that came with the spring rolls and the pot stickers really made those appetizers because they had a lot of seasonings in those sauces. I did notice that the pot stickers were so soft that they were kind of falling apart, so next time, I try their fried pot stickers. The star of the visit was the Pad Thai. It was a little on the spicy side, but tasted great nonetheless. Even on my to-go order, they gave me a lot of noodles... enough to eat on it for two days. I really enjoyed this place and I highly recommend it.

When we arrived, my friend asked how the All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) option worked. After the server explained it, I made a lighthearted joke to my friend saying, "So, anything and as much as you want!" The server immediately snapped back with a rude comment about her manager not liking food waste. I told her it was just a joke between friends, but the attitude didn't stop there. When I tried to order a single bowl of ramen, she told me to get the AYCE dinner option instead, even though ramen is listed individually on the menu. Because I have a smaller appetite, iI told her it was good and I was sticking with the ramen. Later, my friend offered to share a piece of her sushi roll with me. The server cut in and rudely snapped that we weren't allowed to do that, stating that if I wanted anything else, I had to get the all you can eat. While we told her that I wasn't getting from her food we where just sharing because it was our first time there, she was sooo rude coming at us that we CAN'T. While I understand AYCE sharing rules, her delivery was incredibly hostile, argumentative, and unprofessional. It completely ruined our lunch break. There is only one type of noodles you can get (glass noodles), and only a few selections of red meat and vegetables. But hey, I won't complain, because you can't get it elsewhere. The meat I received were super fatty. There were some when the fat was around 80% of the meat itself. Veggies were good! They have a bar of sauces and other foods you can get and add to your hot pot. Broth was fine, it wasn't anything particular to rave about. The service was great - people were so friendly and nice. They tended to us pretty well. The ambience was really cool! Somehow yes again. Walking in feels like the culinary version of a personality test having a nervous breakdown. The good news is the sushi side of this identity crisis absolutely works. The specialty rolls were creative without crossing into "we put Hot Cheetos and gummy bears on this one" territory. Big flavors, fresh ingredients, and combinations that actually made sense. The nigiri was also excellent. Fresh fish, nicely sliced, clean flavor. No complaints there at all. Then the ramen arrived and apparently the seasoning chef had already gone home for the evening. The broth tasted like somebody whispered "tonkotsu" into a pot of warm water and hoped for the best. It desperately needed salt, MSG, anything that would make it wake up and realize it had responsibilities. Not offensive. Just aggressively average. And then there was the atmosphere. Now to be fair, this was not the restaurant's fault. They got ambushed by what appeared to be an entire youth baseball league celebrating the end of the season. Imagine trying to enjoy sushi while sitting inside a Chuck E. Cheese hostage situation. Kids running everywhere. Screaming. Yelling. One child may have briefly achieved low Earth orbit near the hostess stand. Meanwhile the parents reacted to this chaos the same way people react to a car alarm in a parking lot. Complete indifference. The staff honestly handled it as well as they could. Tuesday is apparently kids special night, so consider this less of a complaint and more of a public service announcement. If you're looking for a quiet dinner, maybe don't roll in during Little League victory parade hours. That said, the sushi was good enough and the restaurant handled the chaos with enough grace that I'm rounding up to four stars. Just know what you're walking into. Come for the sushi. Lower expectations slightly for the ramen. And maybe bring noise-canceling headphones if it's Tuesday night.
