I made a stop at the Hoover location and it didn't disappoint with there friendly staff and the dining area was very clean. They had plenty of sitting really nice spot to take the family and kids for after sports to grab a meal. Now the food was outstanding the burger single love the patty meat not very thick. Full disclosure, I have never had Culver's before tonight, though I had wanted to try it for awhile. I went with a foibles cheeseburger and cheesecurds value meal and found it to expensive for fast food. My fast food dinner was almost thirteen dollars. Judging it by fast food. I thought the burger was decent, but the curds were not the best. The counter service was friendly and professional and for a fast food restaurant, this Culver's had a good ambiance. I don't know if other Culver's locations have an atmosphere like this, but it was pretty nice. All in all, I thought for fast food, Culver's was not bad. But for thirteen dollars, I could have gotten a significantly better quality meal. I don't do fast food that often, but I am glad that I finally tried Culver's. The Hoover High School Band supports Culver's in its endeavors to create AMAZING food. I got a double butter burger today, and it was very fire. I got the standard cheese bites, and they lived up to the standard that I remember. My server was very nice, and he delivered my entire sections food with ease. The entire store was very clean and inviting, and we would definitely come here again. Edit: A few hours later at the football game, my stomach was getting a little upset, and my friend actually threw up twice. However, I got a double when I ordered a single and got a regular coke when I ordered Coke Zero. Not a huge deal. Fries were greasy and needed more seasoning. The frozen cocoa shake was good but very very sweet. Cheese curds were delicious and we'll get every time! Would've loved some mozzarella sauce with them though. So I really like this concept and I think that the idea of an elevated fast food burger chain is a good one. It's a few bucks more than a burger king or a McDonald's and they've got a few things on the menu that you may not find everywhere, (get the cheese curds). The "butter burger" thing seems to mean that the burgers have a heavy, richness that definitely adds to their deliciousness, and they've got all kinds of shakes and I've cream if that's your thing. It's clean and tidy and relatively quick. Why 3 stars instead of 5? My first time here they completely gave me all the wrong stuff and I had to start over and wait again which isn't really that big of a deal except that they are not fast. The last time I was here I waited like normal outside the drive thru after paying and pulling forward and the burger they gave me....there's just no way they cooked it fresh. The party had developed a crust and it was obvious that it had sat there for a while waiting to be sold. I asked for no cheese and I had cheese anyway, but at least I could take the cheese off since the burger wasn't hot enough to melt it. For my drink, I got the diet culvers root beer. It was pretty good. I'm sure the regular is better. I'd suggest red. As far as food is concerned, the cheese curds were the only exceptionally good treat I tried here but after a few they got kind of heavy. If you're looking for a great fast food experience with a Wisconsin twist, Culver's is the place for you! I remember becoming exciting when I learned that Hoover was getting a Culver's with their butterburgers and custards and looked forward to the opening of it in the new retail development near the Hoover Met! For those who haven't experienced this, they are known for their burgers and cheese curds, like little fried cheese sticks but a lot fresher. I haven't tried any of the other entree options, but the burgers are well cooked and crispy (they are thin patties) and the crinkle fries complement them well. They serve Pepsi products, not my personal favorite, but they do have their own brand of root beer that is the perfect pairing for burgers and custard, which is creamy and always a refreshing treat here! Be on the lookout for the concrete flavor of the day to see if you like their mixtures; the "Really Reese's" was perfect for someone who likes chocolate and peanut butter. I did get a burger from the drive through that was not fully cooked.... the flavor of the burger was good but once I got the the slightly pink meat I had to stop..... the fries are as good as many other chains so they get a good. On the dine in experience I tried the cod fish sandwich. It was a larger portion of fish, just not as flavorful as I had expected. Again the fries were good and they were hot. For my dine in drink I chose root beer.... as I absolutely love some good root beer... not sure if the tank needed changed or what, but that again was not as flavorful as it should have been. Now this is the Culver's brand root beer so it may as well just be different... I will try it once more before I give the final thumbs down on it.... As far as a fast food place goes this is a really decent place to eat. There is a lot of pride in the service and food.
