Have you ever woken up to a mad hankering for pancakes? I'm pretty sure I have the ingredients to make them, but it's Saturday, and I've earned the right to be lazy. I reached for my phone, pulled up the DoorDash app, and started scrolling through a sea of local options for fluffy flapjacks. As my eyes perused the photos, my stomach started rumbling and my priority became clear: the faster, the better. Whataburger became the clear winner, promising I'd have my pancakes in 20 minutes, so I ordered. My order arrived right on time, and my food was still hot. The butter had been conveniently warmed by the piping hot food on the way, and it melted easily into the steaming stack of pancakes as I spread it. I chose to use my own maple syrup (since theirs was not "maple") and I have to tell you, these pancakes truly hit the spot. They were fluffy and delicious! These "fast food" pancakes easily rivaled the high-dollar stacks at fancier places, no question. The 4 stars instead of five is for the subpar bacon. I like good bacon. There's was not good bacon. Not even close. But I can't say enough about the pancakes, and the fact that I was able to enjoy them in my bed without lifting a finger outside of a few thumb taps on DoorDash is everything. The last one we got fries when we asked for onion rings on 25720 Kuykendahl Rd - and onion rings were soggy last time we got them- wanted to try again, but received fries instead of onion rings! The Dr. Pepper shake was good and so were the burgers!! Not going back to this location after getting no onion rings that we ordered! I had to try Whataburger since where I'm from, it's not even in existence! Firstly, I appreciated the ease of the menu and ordering. I ordered the basic whataburger with a strawberry milkshake. Terrible management. Workers are usually fine, but management is in a deplorable state. Once, I was in lane B of the drive thru and a manager came out and yelled at me, a customer, for being in the wrong lane after I had been told to remain in the same lane at the ordering window. I don't know what is happening to this Whataburger, but we eat here all the time. We seem to have issues when we order on the pm shift. Lunch we always have great food. Tonight tho the burgers were great, but why would you serve cold soggy fries and onion rings that looked and tasted like it was cooked in old oil. Lucky it was one of our rewards. I love whataburger. But for whatever reason these workers can't seem to get my simple order of Two Double Whataburger Jrs with Meat and Cheese only correct. I somehow end up with the Double Jr meal that has everything on it, and missing the other burger completely. I typically don't get an attitude about these mess ups because I understand this is their job and sometimes mistakes are made. However, somebody working in the kitchen came up to the girl working the register and said "you need to double check orders with customers, because some of them are stupid". Drive-throughs can keep fast food alive, and it looks to me like this location is thriving. I stopped in for an avocado burger, fries, drink and chocolate shake the other day. The drive-through was nuts, cars backed up as far as I have ever seen, but since there wasn't any in store traffic they got my food to me in about 15 minutes. Would say that was pretty good. The burger itself was OK. More like an avocado patty melt. I think other things, like the chicken sandwich, probably would travel better. But really it was well executed and exactly what you would want. Kudos to their hard work in this hard time. They have an app, and it's a good idea to use it. What's not to like about Whataburger? The food is good. Better than most fast food burger places in So Cal, especially for a chain. It beats places like Sonic, McDonalds, Carl's and Wendy's. I'm still a fan of In-n-Out but this place is good anytime. What I was surprised about this last trip was their items on their breakfast menu. Their biscuits and gravy were better than most restaurants I've eaten at. Their sausage biscuit beats McDonalds easily. Overall, I like the fact they are open 24 hours and their breakfast menu is better than most fast food places. I used to come here a lot ONLY because I live near but the manager hates her life and is very rude. The staff is always distracted and joking when I pull up to the window. Horrible. My visit was on January 22, 2020 at 3:17pm. I ordered a chicken sandwich and fries. I never do fast food but I was in the mood for a chicken sandwich. Oh wow...it was the most horrible I have ever experienced. The chicken sandwich must have been sitting for most of the day. The roll was burnt, hard and not edible. The Chicken was cold and hard. I called Whataburger and talked to Nick. He would not refund my credit card and said I had to come in to get a cash refund. Really!!, My order # is 321158. I will be disputing this with my bank. I think the manager Gary Polnick should be aware of this. Whataburger is known to make items fresh when ordered. This is certainly not the case here. You should be ashamed. This Whataburger location is adjecent to the Creekside area of the Woodlands. It's well understood that this location isn't well managed ... waits are long, orders often wrong, always understaffed. But, generally, the staff is very friendly. And thats good enough for me. Unfortunately, that all changed today. I went in to resolve a prior order that had been delivered incorrectly. The young man in the car line was impossible to communicate with. I mean LITERALLY impossible. I kept wondering if he thought I was someone else because his communication was so bizarre. As this is one of the Must Visit places while in Texas, my cousin ordered his meal not know what all would come on his burger. Me and my boyfriend, we're ordering food with no line behind us. We simply asked for the person to make two separate orders. The lady that input our order was very nice but I think it was her first day because she was not really understanding what we were saying. However, when we got to the window, I noticed that our orders were switch and we ended up paying for each other's orders when one was the price a bit higher than the other. Obviously not a big deal, but when we explained this to the person that took our order and the person that we were checking out with she went to get her manager because she obviously did not understand what she was supposed to do to fix the situation. When she got the manager, the manager open the window and asked us what the problem is, in a very aggressive manner. We told her it was okay and we were just pay for the other orders. She rolled her eyes in a very aggressive way, and said OK in an extremely sassy tone, as if it was our fault for switching up the orders when we specifically ordered each one in the order that we knew we were going to pay in.
