So I've been wanting to try bojangles for a while today was that day. I was heading to my brother's house for the weekend and saw a bojangles on the way. So i stopped and walked in place was decently clean. staff seemed cheerful and working good. Checked the menu and decided on the 3 piece tender combo with coleslaw and a sausage,egg,and cheese biscuit. I paid about 15 bucks for everything. The tiktok hype was completely over rated. The tenders were mid at best. The coleslaw was ok it was cold which is a plus. The breakfast biscuit had a sausage patties that looked like a hokey puck‍. The only thing that saved this meal was the 2 biscuits the were fluffy and delicious id eat liek 10 of those biscuits if they put them in my path. I was a little surprised to pull into the Bojangles parking lot at 10:15 am and find it completely empty. After getting my food I found out why...biscuits and gravy - mid, Potatoes- soft and mid, coffee - terrible, barely there coffee water. I ordered my food Togo because this location neighbors a huge shopping plex! I ate my food next to the body of water area because it was a beautiful day and the weather was perfect! Parking: plenty, multiple open lots surrounding the building, they also have a drive thru! Service: very friendly, patient and recommended some of their most popular items of the menu wich all slapped! Food: ordered their 3 piece chicken tenders, fries, biscuit and blueberry biscuit and house made lemonade. The tenders had clearly been left to marinade in a canine wet seasoning all night because as you broke each one apiece, you could see that the seasoning penetrated throughout! Every taste was full of flavor! They also seasoned their dry batter too!! They come with tenders the penthouse of your hand and wrists! The fries are all Cajun slightly sweet seasoning! This was such a bad experience, we waited for about 20+ minutes, and people got their food before us, mind you. Catering meals. Like 10+ chicken tenders with fries n shi. We had ordered a sandwich and a 4 piece. When we finally did get the food, everything was cold. Mind you, waited 20+ minutes for cold food. Fries were terribly cold, the bread of the chicken sandwich was cold burned and hard, and the chicken itself was not cooked all the way so I couldn't even eat the whole sandwich. I really tried to like this location. But the dirty tables, lack of food quality, and poor timing of food is very prevalent here. The only upside was that the sweet tea was tasty and the line to order was short. We waited roughly 15 min for our food to come out. The biscuits were very soft. Almost undercooked soft. The chicken was good, spicy like it should be. The Bo Rounds were VERY SOFT and kinda baked tasting. Worst ones I've ever had. Apparently this a popular place in other states and this is the first location in Houston. I went a week after they opened. No lines. Fast service. I got their steak biscuit & chicken biscuit. Huge portion. There was flavor but it was a little "dry". Needed some sauce of some sort to make it easy to swallow. I am excited to try their post breakfast items in the future. read more

The service here on opening day was spectacular! I was met in the drive-through by someone with a paper menu and a smile who told me some details and then told me where to go to place my order. The boberry milkshake was phenomenal for a fast food milkshake! Fresh blueberry flavor and so creamy and refreshing! And the biscuits are huge! I also really enjoyed the botato rounds... I saw they were offering free chicken biscuits on March 29 (morning to 2pm) at this location only via an ad on Facebook. I wasn't sure if the offer was real since I couldn't find it again, but once I asked the cashier, she recognized it and said it was valid. She asked if I wanted to order anything else, if I wanted it for here or to-go, and the name for the order. The manager had to explain how to apply the deal, but it was a smooth process. The staff appeared quite friendly. I came by a little before 9am, and the guy wiping the windows outside saw me approach the doorway and walked to the doors to open it for me. He also said "good morning", which prompted the inside staff members to call out "good morning". I asked for grape jelly and was almost handed (3) grape jelly packets, but I said I only wanted one. The sandwich was bigger than I expected, so I added another jelly. The good is the food. the bad is customer service. and the ugly is the wait time to order your food and receive your food. I waited 20 minutes to place an order, then another 50minutes to receive it. I've never seen so much disorganization at a fast food restaurant. The cashier went to lunch with 8 people waiting in line. It took 10 minutes for another cashier to show up. When I get home with my food, the fries are extra salty, the chicken was a tad old. The biscuit's were fresh and delicious. I would say they need more people, but they need discipline and better organization. I arrived at 3pm, and didn't leave till 10 minutes after 4pm. You know it's bad when customers waiting to place their order are saying you're lucky to customers who've received their order You need to improve on having enough food cooked, having 2 order fillers per register. Bojangles is a virally popular chicken chain that has just set up shop in our neighborhood. I stopped in the other day and ordered some strips and fries, Bo-berry biscuits and an iced tea. Actually this was my second try. I went the first time with my family the week before. We waited about 30 minutes in line, then they stopped taking orders at the counter. The kitchen basically crashed. I went back later in the lunch service. Got my order in and received the food in about 25 minutes, which is pretty good for this location right now. They had a better expediter on duty and were steadily making food, but they still aren't really able to keep up with orders. I can't tell you how the Bo-berry biscuits were because I didn't get them. Instead I got an extra order of fries. I watched several groups getting food, and I think about half of the individual orders had something wrong or missing. If you order for multiple people it's pretty much a certainty that something will be wrong. The fries were incredibly salty. Couldn't finish one of the two orders. Just open a salt packet and pour it in your mouth. I don't recommend them, will get something else when/if I go back. On the upside, the chicken is really very good. Nice and crisp on the outside, not greasy, and the meat is tender and flavorful. I would put the strips right up there with Cane's. Cane's and now Bojangles have spoiled me for strips anywhere else, usually they are quite dry. Also the biscuit was probably the best I've had from a chicken place, very fluffy and tasty. The tea was fine. The soda fountain was stil dispensing some drinks but could have used attention. If you have been to a Bojangles in the east you will be disappointed, because they do not have whole chicken, just strips and sandwich cutlets. It's good chicken, but if I want chicken strips I can go to Cane's and get them in 5 minutes. They have been open a month now and are still slammed. Maybe give it a few more months to calm down. Well we Are here their first week open, so we are keeping an open mind. We've been to Bojangles several times as we've lived in North Carolina where Bojangles are as common there as Popeyes is here. Bojangles is a fave for us. They are slammed busy, inside and out in their double lane drive thru. I have to admit, how busy they are does surprise me, I mean, we like Bojangles, but it's not something that I would wait an extraordinary amount of time for. We chose to go in to dine, much better decision than the drive thru. Again, keeping in mind this is their first week, I am not going to be overly critical. Opening a new restaurant is fraught with issues for every business. I'm just going to state a few things. The dining room is a hot mess. Trash on the floor and the tables that are empty are dirty. The staff is not at all welcoming or friendly. I will give them the benefit of the doubt and blame it on being overworked and stressed during their grand opening. We were just at the grand opening of a portillos in Willowbrook, that grand opening, the staff was friendly and welcoming and despite being even busier than this place, the dining room stayed in tip top shape. But back to Bo's. We have learned that the Bo's here in Texas are not going to serve fried chicken like they do in NC. What the eff kinda BS is that? They are going to regret that decision for sure, because while we are here for breakfast today, and their breakfast is for the most part really good, the fried chicken is what would have made me a frequent customer. That's a damn shame. Back to our breakfast. So we ordered a couple of combos. The sausage egg and cheese combo and then the steak sandwich combo. First , the combos are well priced. I think they were like $6.99 each. Definitely worth it for a sausage egg and cheese biscuit a drink and the potato rounds. they're called Bo rounds here. The other combo the steak biscuit, I wish I hadn't ordered. Definitely not a fan of their version of CFS. We are in texas, this little Patty that they call a steak is not going to fly here in texas. The biscuits are huge and good not dried out. I gave up on the steak sandwich about halfway through, definitely not worth it and tried my husband's sausage biscuit, I should have ordered that. The french fries were so so, maybe fresh they'd be okay but ours were old and cold. I do love the Bo rounds and I will definitely order those from now on. They are nice thick hash brown type potatoes and way better than their fries at this point. We also ordered a side of biscuits and gravy. That was definitely worth the $3.29 for a biscuit and gravy. Good sausage flavored gravy and again a nice big biscuit. The tea was good. They did have a little mix up with the teas in the dining area, both were unsweetened despite one being marked as sweet tea. Again I will attribute that to being brand new, / grand opening issues. It was easy enough to fix I just went up to the counter and told them the issue and they gave me some sweet tea from the back. The sweet tea is good, being a company from the south they damn well better be and they were. So kudos there. As we left there were a couple of guys out directing the drive-thru traffic which was definitely needed and they were nice and friendly and welcoming. They should be inside greeting guests instead of outside wasting their friendly attitude on people in cars. So good job to those guys. Overall, I'd say wait a bit to go so you don't get frustrated with the lines and the wait time. Don't expect fried chicken, and don't order the steak biscuit. I am teetering between a 3 and a 4. I don't think a 4 is really deserved, but a 3 just doesn't seem enough. So it's A begrudging 4. I will go again and see if they are deserving of a 4 next time. read more

I stopped by Bojangles for the first time this morning, super convenient location to pull in, grab breakfast, and hop right back on the freeway. The ordering process was quick and easy, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, that's where the experience went downhill. When I pulled up to the window, my drink was handed to me with soda spilled all over the sides, I had to ask for napkins just to clean it off before putting it in my cupholder. Strike one. Then, as I started driving to work, I took a sip and realized the lid was cracked, spilling soda down my dress shirt. Strike two. Finally, when I went to eat my chicken biscuit, I realized I'd been given the spicy version instead of the regular one and I can't eat spicy food. Strike three. I completely understand that mistakes happen, but three separate errors in one visit is tough to overlook. The location has been open long enough that these basic service steps should be second nature by now. Too much standing around and socializing for the restaurant to be efficient. I've never seen a restaurant so poorly managed. They have way too many kids. Whoever was hiring should be released right along with half the staff. Got a 4 piece tender and kids meal with all sides. Food was cold. Flavor was there quality wasn't. Tenders 5.5 out of 10 flavor and size was great. Freshness and quality were poor could easily be. 9.5 Fries 2.0 out of 10. Stale and old. Seasoning is Ranch 4.0 out of 10. Temp was off. Hour ranch would be served cold. Not Luke warm. Mac and cheese 3.0 out of 10. Really disappointed it could be so much more but the preparation was sloppy and it shows. Rice 6.5 out of 10. The food was excellent....once we finally received it!! We entered the establishment knowing that it was recently opened in the past month. Therefore, we expected a wait. However, one hour and 15 minutes for a 5 piece strip deal with an extra biscuit and drink is extreme. Our ticket was printed at 4:22pm. Our food was given to us at 5:36pm. There were lots of employees standing in the kitchen doing nothing. I saw a total of 4 different people who had in tags designating them as managers or assistant managers. There were lots of orders being taken but not many being handed out. There were mobile orders and delivery tickets piling up on the counter. There was probably 30 people in the lobby waiting for their orders. Our particular order was on the prep screen that shows 8 orders for approximately 25 minutes before it was ever made after I approached one of the managers that was trying to get orders processed out AFTER I saw a customer who I know had only made her LARGE order about 15 minutes before that go to the counter and ask for a refund. The manager then told her...can I please just make your order and apologize for the wait? She had the staff bypass alllllll the other orders that were waiting to process hers so she could leave. When I ask the female who was a manager why hers is getting processed before mine and many others who were still waiting, she started saying, I just need you and everyone else to please be patient with me. As I kindly pointed out, at that time, I had been waiting for 1 hour and 10 minutes and that was the first time I had said ANYTHING to her or anyone else about the wait. I also told her you are asking everyone to be patient but she is serving people before those of us being patient because she doesn't want to have people complaining and asking for their money back. She then told a staff member to give me my food. By this time, they had stopped taking orders in the lobby and have multiple numbers of people waiting to pick up their orders that they ordered there as well as online. There were also multiple delivery drivers waiting to pick up food. We ended up going to our car to eat because of the number of people just waiting for service. After we ate our dinner is when I decided I wanted to go in so that I could get the name of the manager who had spoken to me about being patient. It was at that point I got the name Ashlee. I will say that Ashlee was the only manager that I actually saw doing much work when we were in the establishment waiting on our food. The other 3 would walk toward the front, look at what was going on, then they were gone again. Also I noticed when I had went back in to get the managers name, they still were not taking orders at the counter. They were finally working together to try to get the orders they did have processed. As I said in the beginning, you go into a new establishment expecting to have to wait a bit because they have to get a rhythm. However, the amount of time it took to get food at this establishment today was TERRIBLE. I could have easily went to one of the multiple SIT down restaurants that are near there and have a full plated meal in the amount of time it took to even receive my "fast food order" there. read more

My first time trying bojangles after hearing so many good things from southerners. We got a variety of things to try and needlessly to say most of it was bad. Service was very slow and it took an unusual amount of time to get our order for a fast food place. (30 min plus). Grilled chicken sandwich was smashed together and half the toppings were outside the bun. Chicken was overcooked and very dry. It was hard to eat. Crispy chicken sandwich was mostly breading and flavorless. Very thin pieces of chicken inside both sandwiches. Fries had really good salt and flavorless from seasoning but unfortunately were cold, old and stale. Mac and cheese was a very small portion and had an odd texture, reminds me of frozen mac from the grocery story.
