A nice place for meats. Succulent meats. Reasonably priced meats…read more The cheddar jalapeño bratwurst was a delight and filled with spice. The selection was vast. I was fond of the poultry selection. Succulent poultry makes a great meal. High five the poultry. Support local. Well worth the visit.

Wheat Ridge Poultry and Meats is your local connection. We visited a few weeks ago and went in separately with our masks. Forgot yours? They offered masks and antibacterial disinfectant right at the door. So thoughtful! The staff were great and super helpful. They offer everything at reasonable prices and had a few things (like jalapeno seasoned bacon, hatch chili bacon and keto bacon, ya'll) that we'll be back for again and again. They offer fresh eggs and source most, if not all of their meats and produce locally. They work with local farmers and ranchers who treat their animals humanely, grow organic produce and don't use antibiotics, hormones and GMOs (check out their website for more details). Ice cream - they're sporting Little Man ice cream flavors and the cheese curds are also local - Cream City Cheese Curds. And.... I can't wait to pick up The Village Pie Maker pies next time we're there. Such a great find! Go.... go now!

First time here; I found Steve's very difficult and not first time user friendly. Steve's has a…read morelot of rules and strict procedures. If you don't get it right, they may not process your game. Read the website...carefully. Make an appointment. Then read the website again. If you have questions, good luck, Steve's did not answer the phone or return voice mail. So read the website -- every page as there is a tidbit of important info you need to know and it is spread out. Once you get your meat processed, they dictate the day and a two hour window for pickup -- if you fail to get it, they start charging a storage fee immediately. So once I thought I understood the rules, I dropped off my elk, I felt pressured to make decisions about what I wanted - Steve's is busy during hunting season and showed little patience to answer questions about the various products and what they could do. So I made some hasty decisions on processing, waited till my pick-up day/time and went back to the market. The payment process was smooth. From what I can see Steve's prepared everything exactly as I requested. Perfect. They appear to be experts in wild game processing, have demand and they appear to have a following. Now that I better understand some of their rules/procedures, the next time should go smoother. So I am impressed with the product, but their customer interface could use some more attention.

I'll be dreaming about Blackbelly dinner until I get to have it again…read more We didn't have a reservation and were able to sneak in as a walk-in after only a short wait. The service was amazing and the entire staff was so knowledgeable about the menu. Every time they would bring us something, they explained each ingredient and the person that made it. I've heard they have amazing breakfast burritos at the Market so I'll need to come see for myself sometime soon. Would totally recommend and will be bringing out of town visitors here to show off.

The drinks were definitely expensive, but we were happy to pay for a quality experience at an upscale restaurant. We ordered multiple appetizers, had several drinks, sat at the bar for quite a while, and honestly about to leave thinking this was a place we would probably come back to. That changed the second the bill arrived. Buried into the check was a 7% "kitchen surcharge." In other words, the restaurant decided to pass along kitchen payroll costs directly onto the customer without being upfront about it. If you're not paying close attention, you could easily end up tipping on top of that surcharge as well, essentially paying an extra hidden fee without realizing it. At a restaurant positioning itself as upscale and classy, this came across as incredibly tacky and cheap. Pay your staff properly and price your menu accordingly instead of sneaking surprise fees onto the bill at the very end. That's not hospitality. That's the kind of nickel and diming people expect from budget airlines, not a supposedly high end dining experience. It completely ruined what had otherwise been a nice night. We were seriously considering coming back before this happened. Now we won't return.
