the number 5 on a cake

Quite a big bakery with from beverages and pastries. They sell fresh bread and pastries. There are muffins, pies, cakes, cookies, brownies, and more. Friendly staff and clean place with their own parking space outside. The taste and style of the cake is more European. Simple and sweet, but tasty.

Cute bakery with lovely presentation on their baked goods that taste good. Got a couple breakfast sandwiches and muffin to share for breakfast. Muffin was kinda tasteless but definitely freshly made. Breakfast sandwiches needed salt. Expensive for what you get, but for what is available in Gibsons, pretty good. Service was absent minded but they were teenagers who were trying their best. Cozy, small place with a lot of IKEA furnishings, silverware and decor with a cabin theme. Free wi-fi. There was definitely a long line when we arrived, but we got a table pretty quickly since the crowd was moving fast and there was plenty of seating available. One thing I really liked was their half sandwich and soup combo. Unfortunately, they had run out of soup by the time I ordered, which was a little disappointing. We ended up ordering vegetarian sandwiches, and I really enjoyed them. The ingredients tasted fresh, the sandwich was light yet satisfying, and it came with chips on the side. They also have their own merchandise, which was fun to browse while waiting. What surprised me the most was the pricing. Considering how popular the restaurant is and its prime waterfront location, the prices were very reasonable. Overall, great food, friendly service, beautiful views, and excellent value for money. I would definitely go back again.

There wasn't much of a crowd, and there was plenty of seating available both indoors and outdoors. The service was quick, and everyone was friendly. We ordered eggs, coffee, a breakfast platter, and a peanut butter pastry. The eggs were well made, and the food overall was good. While it wasn't quite a 5/5 for me, it was definitely enjoyable, especially considering the limited breakfast options in the area. The café has a very cute small-town vibe, which adds a lot to the experience and makes it a nice place to relax and enjoy a meal. I also have to give them extra credit for something that meant a lot to me personally. I had accidentally lost my bag during our trip near this cafe, and some kind strangers turned it in to the café. The staff kept it safe until we came back looking for it. I was incredibly relieved and grateful. This act of honesty and kindness is something I will always remember, and it definitely earns this place a few extra points in my book. Overall, I would definitely go back again for the friendly service, cozy atmosphere, great location, and the kindness that helped turn a stressful situation into a happy ending.

According to the website, this chain is named after the owner's golden retriever. It sure looks happy. Parking is available in front of the building, as well as along various village side streets. Staff are friendly and cheerful. No complaints. The doughnuts are a bit pricey but they sure are delicious. I really like "Asian" style doughnuts as they are less sweet than their western counterparts. I had the matcha cream and could definitely taste the matcha. Will be trying their other locations at some point. Recommended.

Every pastry in the case looked beautiful and tempting, making it nearly impossible to choose. The coffee, though--absolutely perfect. Smooth, balanced, and exactly what you want on a crisp morning adventure. Goldie's felt like one of those special finds you don't plan for but remember long after. Starbuck's was Mr. B's favorite for coffee and we prefer the smaller independently owned coffee shops and Fox and Oak is a gem. Located in downtown Squamish, really on the outskirts of downtown. This tiny little spot has a long bar with seating and then a lovely patio. The staff at the register taking orders both times was so friendly, helpful and offered great recommendations. On our first visit it was a latte for Mr. B and a Chai Latte for me, both were creamy, filled with rich flavor without being bitter. We also shared a maple walnut donut. Oh it was so good. I can't say the last time I had a donut, but when in Canada, maple anything is always so good. The donut was light and had a lovely maple glaze on the top and then toasted walnuts. So good! On our second visit, we had the same drinks, the same Maple Walnut Donut and added a blueberry fritter. The fritter was crunchy on the outside, after the first bite we could see the layers of dough much like a croissant and in the middle were loads of fresh blueberries. Wow, fresh berries and not a sweet fake blueberry gel. It truly was scrumptious. Parking is on the street and can be tight, but both times we found parking even with a short walk. Which was good to walk off our donuts and pastries.

However, the eggs were a bit overcooked for my preference; the whites were solid and the yolks were mostly set rather than runny.
