I go in for my appointment to repair a cracked filling from a prior dentist. They told me the fee was $199 so I paid that. A week later I see on my insurance claim that my portion should've only been $154. So I called the dentist and let them know and they said they would refund me the overcharge and confirmed everything in person and on the phone. My next appointment was for my cleaning. Ashley was great and very thorough and probably took the longest out of any cleaning but I take that as a good thing. The next appointment is my full exam with Kovar ( which is not listed as the provider on anything because he's not on their insurance yet apparently so if there is any issue down the road , Dr farr is holding the bag.) I told their staff from the get-go that I'm not doing any additional x-rays because my insurance only covers them every so many years. The taller blonde woman that was doing the x-rays and training somebody at the time told me they need to do them for themselves no matter what and I wouldn't get charged anything because that is their choice against my request. According to them, literally every tooth in my mouth needs some type of filling or redo or new crown, etc. Keep in mind I have been up-to-date on all dental needs since I was a child and have never missed a six month cleaning or exam. News to me that every tooth suddenly needs some correction. My first appointment I was there I was waiting at least 15 to 20 minutes past my appointment. On my second appointment, I was stuck in traffic and arrived exactly 20 minutes late (I have proof on my phone). They made a big deal and exaggerated and kept saying it's 30 minutes but they make people wait that all the time. Fast forward I find out from the insurance company that this particular office is a premier not PPO which nobody ever mentioned anything about when I gave them all of my insurance info and the type it was. which means fillings for me instead of paying 20%, premier dentist charge 30%. Something they never bothered to mention. When I was in the first time they even verified no you should not have a charge for a cleaning yet when I was leaving they were trying to charge me money for it and I said absolutely not I'm not paying that. I had to go in an additional time because the filling that they did in my first appointment, Dr Kovar said there is a void in it and he wants it redone. So I had to waste more of my time coming back for them to drill my tooth out again and refill it. Fast forward and it's been weeks and their business manager or whoever named Jody still has not refunded me the $45 difference from the shoddy filling they did that I overpaid for. Every time I call back to find out what's going on I have to re-explain everything to somebody else there. If you guys don't want to refund $45 I have no problem filing a grievance against your office. By the looks of your reviews you guys are not doing much better for anyone else.

I had a very, very minor chip on my front tooth, and had asked the other dental office about what we could do. They told me my only option was to have them put some type of filling behind it and match it to my tooth. Being as young as I am I didn't want anything added into my mouth that I'd have to worry about getting discolored or matching my teeth later. I asked them about gently filing down my front teeth to get rid of the chip and even them out, they claimed they "couldn't guarantee" that my teeth would be even. Said it wasn't a good option and the (of course more expensive one) other one was the only option I had..... Fast forward to coming into Yuba City Modern Dentistry last year. I told her about my experience with the out of town dentist and that they told me matching my tooth and filling it in was my only option. She was so kind and empathetic, and assured me she could even out my front teeth and guarantee they would be even. She told me she would show me as she filed to make sure I felt heard and was happy with the results. I'm beyond happy with the results, and am more confident with my smile than I was before the minor chip. If you're looking for an honest, fair, and kind dentist, Dr. Sembhi is for you.

The staff and Dentist are compassionate, and very knowledgeable in treating patients like me who had bad teeth. We were also irritated with the fact that she wouldn't even make our appointments for the same day, which makes it hard when he works long hours and we have a 2 year old. After waiting, I went in to see Dr. Ang and he seemed to be a good dentist. He answered any questions I had and I felt as though it was a thorough check up. 6 months later I received a voicemail from the same lady, the message sounded very much so like she was mad she even had to make these "reminder calls". After some thought, I made the decision to cancel our appts. and go with another dental office. So I called her and let the same lady know how I was feeling, and she said "OK". I told her as though she made it seem like we were wasting her time and she said "OK, BYE" and hung up. Needless to say, we will NOT be returning. Upon arrival, I was greeted with warmth and kindness by the staff. Shelby was at the front desk and she was so sweet and helpful. I told them I had another consultation at a later time that same day but at a different location. Dr Navjot Singh gave me the better deal and so I proceeded with him. Fast forward to last week, I had my implant placed in. Dr. Singh performed the surgical procedure. The procedure was straight-forward and he helped me feel at ease. I came in today to have my suture removed. Healing and recovery is going well at the surgical site. The implant was placed in perfectly after seeing the x-ray. I definitely can't wait to be back in December to see the crown placed in and to be able to gain the confidence again in smiling in pictures again! Thank you so much Dr. Singh for taking care of my implant needs. I switched my provider to their facility for all my future dental needs. Rest assured, I am extremely happy and pleased with each visit. The whole staff is incredible and so professional. Do I recommend them? Most definitely!
