Wow, the service here was absolutely AMAZING. The hotel gave me a flier when I asked and I called and ordered the scooter, & it was there within the hour. A short term, no reservations, one day scooter rental that was priced in my budget, I was shocked and relieved. Short term I could get anything for a one day rental and nothing priced well. The amazing Rep. Henry showed me how to use the scooter and I was relieved. I ask a lot of questions because I must be thorough and he was sooo patient. I had spine surgery a month ago, but I refused to Miss the POOR PEOPLE's Campaign Rally in WASHINGTON, DC that weekend, we traveled in from Jersey. It was a great experience because I was able to rent the perfect scooter, pay a decent price and participate without worry in the event. I even referred to a party member's mom who had Fallen at the Rally. She also ordered a scooter as they were over for the next day & wanted to attend the museum after she got X-rays at the ER & was patched up and discharged. Talk about a ontime Blessing.. My wife Karen had just arrived at hte Washington Capital Hotel on yesterday. As we were waiting to get checked in, we were having conversation about rental of a motorized scooter for me. As we're talking I'm looking around and spotted our converation show up in "REALTIME". We would recommend their service to any one! Our group needed a wheelchair last minute for a graduation ceremony and Wheel Around Rentals was an absolute life saver! We placed an order at 11pm Saturday night using their online ordering system and requested the chair be delivered 10am the following morning (Sunday) and it was delivered to us at the exact time we requested with no problems at all -- really exceptional service. There is a saying " You don't know, what you don't know". I learned that this weekend after trying to rent a scooter for my sister who has severe painful knees that makes it hard to walk. This was to be a sisters weekend. If it were not for Henry's patient help my sister would have been confined to the room all weekend at the Hilton Inn Harbor Hotel in Baltimore MD. It took 3 tries to tries to get something that worked for her. Henry went out of his way to help us and that meant everything to us. This was the first time I had traveled with my sister since her disability so I did not really know what she needed til we arrived. I am a senior living in Arlington VA who was preparing to have a houseguest who had a problem walking long distances. My mom and aunt absolutely loved the scooters. They made a major difference on their DC visit. My mom has been had toured DC several times over the years, but she told me this was her best visit ever because she had no mobility limitations. We were actually there for about 7 hours. We visited several museums including the African American Museum and The National Portrait Gallery, went to have lunch and all ! Everyone wanted to know where we got them from. My husband and I came to Maryland to visit my mom and step dad who is a Vietnam vet. My husband had never seen the monuments in DC and really wanted to see them. At first my step dad wasn't going to go due to his pain issues effecting his ability to walk long distances. The morning of he decided he would consider going if he got a scooter. I contacted this company in hopes of finding a friendly and respectable company to rent a scooter for our family trip to Washington DC. Henry was very accommating over the phone and assured me the scooter would be charged and ready to go at our hotel when I arrived. Visited the DC area with my 70-year-old mom last weekend. I didn't think about all the walking the museums and monuments entailed. I called wheels around rentals on Friday afternoon. Henry was pleasant and accommodating. He met us at the museum the next morning, showed us how to maneuver the scooter and we were off for 2 days of walk-free fun. We came to DC with my 81 Year old Mother to look at museums and quickly realized we needed a Motorized scooter. These guys were great! They delivered the Scooter to our Hotel just like they said they would, even while we were out!. Even after they delivered the scooter I had a problem with my CC and they were very polite on the phone as we straightened out the problem. Wheel around took all of my information over the phone and delivered the wheelchair to my door after I frantically called them saying I needed a wheelchair that night because I needed to take my Aunt who lives in an assisted living facility to see her doctor the next day. I rented a scooter for four days over the Thanksgiving holiday. Henry was so helpful and polite! I loved that when we checked into the hotel the scooter was already there and charged for my use.
