Such an amazing experience. We went for my mothers birthday and she had a great time. The staff were nice, the atmosphere was amazing, they were patient with us although we were a little late. We didn't know any of the other people there but in the end, we all felt like family. They really created a positive vibe. Definitely recommend the next time you're choosing a paint and sip. We happened to find them at their pop-up open paint hours at Logan street market. They were there from 11am-4pm. They have different size canvasses to choose from and they provide the acrylic paints, brushes, pencils, and aprons. It was fun coming up with our own paintings. This place is so much fun!! We just finished a ladies night! I bought a Groupon for a group of 4, but had to pay extra for two additional people. Groupon really makes it a great deal! We've dropped in before as well with my little guy and so many options to choose from. I prefer booking a class, this way you can see what the option will be for your date. They have extended hours, and it's a great night out. You can bring your own food and drinks in here! Yes even adult beverages! :) They also have snacks and drinks you can buy as well. They usually have full classes and plenty of seats. Arrive early to get the spot you want, and to ensure your group can sit together. We all really enjoyed our instructor Dalton, and we finished in about 2.5 hours. Plan to be there the entire time. We are now planning to make this a new tradition on the night before Thanksgiving! This was a fun experience whether you're a novice or an expert. Every Saturday there are evening classes with a selected painting of the day. This place is located off of evergreen green road in a residential area. There is parking on site. I stumbled upon a groupon for this class which made it an even better deal. However, this is one of the few art studios that does allow drop-ins. The selected painting of the evening was Churchill downs. I was slightly nervous knowing my artistic ability is terrible. Our instructor, walked us through every step of the way and made it fun and simple to go through the steps. This class is a BYOB or wine, whichever you prefer. There is also snacks and soft drinks available for purchase. Overall, I had a great time and may someday return to paint another portrait with some girlfriends. read more

Awful place. Everyone was very crowded tightly together. No fire exits. The fire dept came to check them the next day it was SO bad. We were supposed to paint one picture and the "teacher" kept changing it. Would never recommend it to anyone. I bought a Groupon for two for their Evening Calendar Class and then purchased a separate one for me for $20 (11x14 canvas). The booking process was simple and painless. We were pleasantly surprised at the pretty setting of this big house in the heart of Anchorage. I had no idea Anchorage was such an exclusive getaway from busy Shelbyville Road! After you turn onto Evergreen, it is like a different world, filled with stately homes hidden behind big trees. The setting of this painting class business is a very nice departure from the average strip mall versions. It also seems to be one of the only family/kids friendly painting business in the area. They offer kids classes, parties and camps. They also cater to the homeschoolers. The painting part is about the same as the other painting place I have experienced. A very patient instructor provides and demonstrates fool proof instructions. While we do paint the same subject, but they encourage individual results. The process pretty much guarantees everyone will complete something they can be proud of. However, the process is not designed to challenge one's artistic skills. The paints are about as economical as they come. There will not be tubes of Cadmium Yellow or Alizarin Crimson. The brushes are so bad, I will definitely bring my own for the next visit. So, be patient, this is a class for enjoyment and entertainment. One note...see how you feel about this; on their webpage, there is this fine print at the bottom that states: "As a Christian business, it is our policy to not aid in the painting of other religious symbols. Surprised my mom for her 59th birthday and I'm so glad we decided to come here! She claimed she had no artistic ability yet her painting turned out better than mine! We had a class of 6 and everyone wore their masks. Our instructor was a no show so they had to call in another girl who was great! I would have given 5 stars but the house was a bit dirty and the bathroom was pretty bad. During times of a global pandemic, more attention to the cleanliness of this facility should be of higher importance! Please be aware the advertised start time for the class is 6-8:30p but they will not start until 6:15pm or later, unlike other painting companies who start promptly at the time of class and don't let people come in late. When we questioned the delay in the start time of the class, as well as another group, we could not get an answer as to when the class would start. We rudely had another customer scream at us and make derogatory comments. We could not get an answer advising how long we would wait for other attendees to arrive. We also had hoped we would get the wine/charcuturie board we had purchased while we waited, but did not get that either. We ended up leaving, when trying to discuss with the owner we were received rudely. The owner blamed us for them not starting on time and shared we left at 6:19 and the manager/owner arrived at 6:20. What was supposed to be our 30th wedding anniversary memory turned into the worst experience I have had at a painting party. I have done these type of events at least a dozen of times and have never had a class start 20 minutes later or 19 minutes late waiting for other to arrive. Then to respond to my cancelled membership outlining they always start at 6:15p vs the website and ticket stating 6:00p is comical. I would just be prepared for lack of customer service! read more

I've been here for several times for birthday parties, my own included. This time I had a Groupon so my best friend and I went for a fun outing before we head back to school. We were the only two there for the class and when we saw what we were painting it made sense. Had very low expectations upon seeing the example photo. But, our paintings actually turned out decent. Our instructor Ava was very helpful and put up with our nonstop laughter and joking. She painted a chihuahua and we attempted to paint my golden retriever. Attempted- key word. But we had a ton of fun and I've never had a bad experience. Don't go in expecting to leave with a professional looking painting. Go for a good time with friends or if you enjoy painting recreationally. There is parking on site. Located in an old home so it's not the most spacious but so cute and I like the quirky decorations and paint everywhere. I came here with a small group, and we all really enjoyed our time (later I'll add a photo of the masterwork I created...). We came with a few bottles of wine on a Saturday evening, during their happy hour when canvases are 50% off (not sure it would be a great deal otherwise). While it was very busy and a little chaotic at first (minus one star for this), we finally were able to purchase our canvases and get situated. I know little-to-nothing about painting, but from my naive perspective I thought the paints to be of reasonable quality (and variety), the brushes to be in good shape, and the (mostly volunteer) staff to be very polite and helpful. All in all a good experience, and I look forward to returning. read more

A friend and I just went to the "Paint Your Pet" event last night and had so much fun! What's great about this paint location is that you can bring your own snacks and drinks (including wine!). My friend and I loved painting our dogs. My only cons about the place were that it's pretty far out and a little tough to get to and the instructor could have used an assistant (though this was likely a tougher session than usual because we were all painting something different). I was looking for a fun family Saturday evening activity, and I saw "drop-in painting" online. I've done the, adults online, sip and paint at other locations and enjoyed it... but have never seen a drop-in for adults/kids. I must say... WE LOVED IT! The hardest part was selecting the image we each wanted to paint. The staff offered some guidance and stopped by our table a few times to sketch out our pictures to paint. We had a party of 6 and really enjoyed the instructor. It was a great group event for us. I would prefer to have the classes graded by difficulty as I feel the one we selected was far advanced for me. I would recommend spreading out the work areas a little bit. I couldn't reach the water for my paint brushes and felt very cramped in the space. I would love to see afternoon classes added to your schedule on the weekend. Paid for a Groupon for a class that said I could just show up and do the class. I called because the Groupon was not specific. When I called they said I can show up at anytime and take the classes my aunt was listening when I called and heard the same thing. I show up, besides the fact that their customer service wasn't great I was told the night classes weren't apart of the Groupon. It was something I wanted to do with my friends and sister for my birthday and now had to reschedule. I'm truly upset that I called to confirm and then showed up and was told we couldn't take the class. Then Upon arrival receiving horrible customer service from the receptionist. Then witnessed them being rude to the lady who walked in with me. If I could get a refund I would, but now I'm stuck. Truly a big upset with a place that I'm visiting for the first time. We came to visit tonight for four of us. We were told per website that we would be painting a red flower (which we were all excited about). As we were painting, the instructor Rosie actually painted on our paintings. She attempted to help "fix" our painting. It was fun having wine and snacks. I wish they would have not painted on my friends canvas. She was very upset over it. There were "we work off of your gratuities"all over the place. Then a cat brushed up against us and my friend is allergic to cats. It was a little scary for him. And made him sneeze badly. There should be a cat warning upon entry, so that people with allergies are aware. Over all, I wasnt happy with a cherry blossom tree. It wasn't very good and we aren't happy about it. Plus, the house was messy and bathroom was dirty. It was very clustered. Overall a small room. Very warm in there. read more
