Headed over to Whisk Dessert Bar in Shreveport to try out a few things. Now, I'll preface this by saying there isn't a whole lot of parking in front of the storefront BUT, they're next to other businesses and across from a shopping plaza so if you really wanted to try it, there's no excuse not to. The interior is very bright and airy and it's a great use of space with chairs, merchandise and a very long bakery counter. Everything is on display and is a treat for the eyes! The service was quick and friendly. There were a lot of desserts available but I decided to keep it simple. I got three cookies: lemon crinkle, brown butter snickerdoodle and triple chocolate chip. These were some of the softest, chewiest cookies I've ever had from a bake shop. I absolutely loved those cookies and would order them again. I also ordered the confetti cake jar. It was such a cute concept and was so fun to eat, (and yes, share a little lol). The cake itself was a little dry, so I'm not sure if I'd eat that again but I'd try other things. Know before you go: they're closed Sunday and Monday, but open from 11 a.m.-6 p.m., Tuesday-Saturday. I would definitely go back and try some of their other desserts soon and cannot wait to do so! read more

Everything about this place is fantastic. They have a huge spread of dessert from baked goods to gelato. The menu is expansive and I can't wait to come back and try more goodies. The space is simply and tastefully decorated. As first timers we were given a run through of each item and what to expect from flavor to texture (the best little tour ever) it made me want to try everything! I ended up with the short bread topped with citrus strawberries and my SO got the doma chocolat. Both were amazing. My short bread was warm, the berries were perfect sautéed with a refreshing citrus flavor and cooled for a perfect warm/cool combo. The doma was incredibly crafted, the tiered textures and espresso mousse gave it a variety of flavors. 10/10 recommend, can't wait to come back! read more

Sooo the hunt for a vegan baby shower cake was NOT easy. But once I landed on this little gem in Shreveport all my problems were alleviated. Not only is Whisk a cute and cozy dessert bar, but they were up for the challenge when I asked them to make me a vegan cake. I met the owner Blake personally in shop, which was so nice. You can tell he admires, values, and has confidence in his team! He heard me out on what I was looking for then handed me to his team of bakers to get a better understanding on what I was wanting. They set me up with Jacqui who was personally assigned to be the baker for my shower goodies! Jacqui was A M A Z I N G . She recreated what I envisioned for my shower beautifully. Not only did she make the process of small details easy, she also was a good resource for necessary businesses in the area! She provided me with samples to make sure she was satisfied with the end result. Did I mention she even made vegan macaroons ?! It's been YEARS since my vegan behind had a macaroon.. YEARS you guys!! *drools* In the end my cake came out STUNNING and it was soooo good! I had people talking about the cake and cupcakes to me for like a week after my shower. Went by for the first time and tried a variety box of items. The interior is airy, but I didn't notice any tables where you could sit. Did I miss them, or did they take them out?? The selection was a bit more limited than I was expecting - they don't for example, have as much variety as Julie Annes - but the displays were neat and attractive. Server was pleasant and friendly. Price point is high for cookies and slices of pie in these types of places, but Whisk is not any higher than other bakeries or cupcake joints. My favorite hands down was the lemon pie. Great lemon flavor, great creamy texture. I'd definitely go back just to have the lemon pie. Other favorites were the peanut butter cookie and the snickerdoodle cookie. read more

Beautiful desserts! Tucked in a side street, this had a nice seating area around the window so you could see outside while eating. I wish there was a little more of a selection on drinks for a summer day in Louisiana. They had hot coffees and expresso however they don't offer iced drinks. So that means no ice latte for me with my dessert. When I looked up reviews I saw a nice selection of items however upon arrival I noticed they had a small amount of items sitting in a display cooler. But what they did have was tasty and the kids enjoyed the ice cream/ gelato. The lady behind the counter didn't seem to know much about the desserts other than what was written on the board behind her when I asked about a new pie they had she didn't know what type of filling was inside. My wife asked for her Birthday cake to come from Whisk this year and that's what I did. There were two sizes, one that feeds 4-6 people and the other 6-8 people. I decided to go for the larger (opposite of what my wife's asked) just in case. I did a phone order and the person who took the order was polite. She even offered to get me a cake topper. When I arrived for pickup I received the same. This place is hidden off the main road. I came at approximately 0900-1000 and there was not much on display but I received my $62 cake with no hiccups. Make sure you let the cake sit at room temperature to thaw. I hid this one in the fridge until it was time to eat. Aesthetically the cake looks great, but I thought it was dry. Even after I thawed it out the cake still crumbled while trying to eat. I ended up with a stack of crumbs to scoops up instead of pieces of cake. I will go back to try the other pastries. I've heard the cinnamon rolls are good. read more

I would love to say I'm a fan. But, I'm not. Hear me out. The chocolate brownie cookie was amazing. My kids liked their cookies and cream cookies...but they're not really the most refined eaters. They like chips ahoy too. Here is why my review is so low. I had a lemon cookie that had hardly any lemon flavor. I ordered "the bees knees" off of the menu. From the description it sounded amazing. It sure was cute in a bee hive shape with its cute little bee. But the cake was super dry and the flavor overwhelmingly "honey", which maybe I should've expected with the bee theme. But it was very strong. Like eating crumbs in honey. Did I mention that this cupcake sized dry honey desert was $12? Well, I was surprised too, since the price wasn't on the menu. I give the brownie cake cookies 5 stars. The cookie price is acceptable too at $2...if it's a good cookie. I'd pay $12 for an amazing desert...but I'd have rather had a Walmart cupcake than the "Bees Knees". We won't return. read more

Monkey bread- it was good but I would rather have the easy monkey bread made from rolls of premade dough. There wasn't enough "sauce" and the interior dough was dry, tough, and cold. Chicken biscuit- the biscuit was tough the chicken was good though and the honey butter was delicious. White pimento biscuit- this was good but the biscuit was tough. Brown butter snickerdoodle- it was just ok. I would rather have the cookies from Whole Foods for half the price. HOWEVER, the Hawaiian Punch gelato was amazing. After having a negative experience with another cookie company, I felt a little disheartened about searching for a very specific cookie flavor, until I discovered Whisk Dessert Bar! I found out they baked a specific cookie I was looking for and felt really excited. The girl was very friendly on the phone when I called her, and what I liked the most was that they had a Doordash delivery for their website. This made it very easy for me, since I am based in Canada and wanted to order cookies as a Christmas gift for an office based in Louisiana. The online order was done seamlessly and the gift was delivered without any problems to the office on the scheduled date. The desserts are delicious! I've tried the pavlova & the doma chocolat. All amazing and better than any other dessert in town. However - it's so pricey! We got 2 desserts and a bottle of water for $20. The desserts are small but come plated on a giant plate, making them look even smaller. I wish they would specify prices instead of just saying "$8+" for the desserts. 8+ can be anything! Why not just say how much each dessert is? That's sketchy in my opinion. I'll be coming back on rare occasion, but not often. read more

I've been seeing this business on Facebook so I decided to try it out. They have cookies, pastries, and gelato. The seating is nice inside as well as outside. They have bright green chairs and tables with flowers on top. It makes for a cheery atmosphere. My son and I got the chocolate eclair filled with vanilla creme and the vanilla gelato. Both were about $5 a piece. We got a small in the gelato. I enjoyed the gelato more than my eclair to be honest. I MIGHT come back for one of their $2 homemade cookies. read more

This place is absolutely adorable...overflowing with charm and happiness. The service was wonderful. I chose the Bouchon and the Tiramisu for Two. As much as I wanted to love the desserts, I just sorta liked them. I consider myself a Tiramisu snob, lol, and thought this place was gonna be a home run. I have been in search for mille crepes and great eclairs... i did not have to look any further. Whisk Dessert Bar makes one of the best choux pastries I've had! Their desserts are crafted well and not too sweet, which makes it really palatable. I have tried their triple chocolate cookie, their white cake with nutella, and lemon blueberry stack cake, but the pastry that I cannot take off my mind and the reason I'll be frequenting this place over and over is the dulce de leche eclair!!!! The choux pastry is crisp, yet chewy and had lots of layers filled with a light, dulce de leche cream. Gosh, I am drooling thinking about it! It's a must try for sure! read more

Low on goodies because it was late in the day. No caffeine free coffee , but the overall package was great. OMG! I went for the first time this morning. They serve breakfast from 7 am to 11 am Tuesday thru Saturdays. I had the Salmon with Capers biscuit. It was fabulous! The biscuit had a nice crunchiness on the bottom and crispy on top some too! The salmon was cold and delicious! The coffee was very smooth. $3 per cup, however, refills included! I ate on the patio area with a couple of friends, but brought home a biscuit with homemade sausage and my husband really loved it! The extra neat thing............Dogs are welcome to the patio area. This is my favorite dessert place by far. Their customer service is impeccable and I love the entire atmosphere. So far my favorites include the Doma Chocolat and Waffle Cannoli. Both of these desserts are just downright amazing. They are large enough to share with someone if you choose, but I personally like to keep it all to myself. My son LOVED the chocolate shortbread Sammie and keeps begging to come back for another! You really can't go wrong with their gelato either. I have had the roasted strawberry and whisk sink. Both were great! The servings for the gelato are very generous... it is hard for me to finish a small. I know some people have commented on the price, but honestly you get what you pay for. I plan to eventually taste the entire menu. Whisk Dessert Bar exceeded all expectations and has become a family favorite for us. read more
