Came to the Whiskey Barrel tonight and it was good. Upon sitting down, my boyfriend and I were given water and two glasses to which one of them had lipstick stains on it. Normally, I wouldn't really care. But because we're still in a pandemic, this made me feel sick (considering I drank out of the glass before noticing). We also were given dirty plates. We ordered a white sangria and a peach old fashion and they were really good! We also ordered a brisket slider appetizer that was delicious. My boyfriend ordered the Beer cheese burger and he loved it. I ordered the Mac and Cheese with bacon and was disappointed. My boyfriends burger had Mac and cheese on it and his Mac and cheese had more cheese on it than my whole entree did and I ordered Mac and cheese! The bacon was very flimsy and not what I expected (and they charged an extra $5 to add this to the dish). Overall, the service and atmosphere was definitely a 10/10. The food and cleanliness would have to be a 6-7/10. I would come back to try other dishes. read more

I brought a group of people to the bar area after an event we attended in town. I called rather last minute (late morning the same day) to see if there was enough room in the bar area for us - about 10-15 people. They could not have been nicer and more accomodating. I was shocked to walk in and see a beautiful table all set up for us. The food was fabulous and the service was great! Our waitress, Rachel, was so attentive and upbeat. Stopped in over the weekend to have a late lunch and unfortunately I was not impressed. As soon as you get in you are confronted with a huge horseshoe bar with tv and bar tables with the dining room in the back. I liked the rustic design of the place, interesting tidbit- I went to the restroom and the urinals were actually cut out kegs. I liked their imagination unfortunately the creativeness did not work it's way to the menu. I ordered a Cubano wrap and was seriously disappointed. My gf ordered the Nachos and it left a lot to be desired. The Wrap was barely warm, the cheese on the Cuban wrap was not melted and the pork had little to no taste to it. The nachos were basic as well, refried beans and pulled pork and cheese. Before going I reviewed the menu and saw some possible menu choices unfortunately it was not good. Really Solid Sandwich Spot. I remember this place for so many years when it was the Frog Pond but now it is the Whiskey Barrel. Fun spot, plenty of seating, cool menu, nice staff. We all got sandwiches so we didn't explore the whole menu or can't speak to the drinks. The sandwiches were all really big and the sides were really good too. Everyone got pretty quiet until they were done eating which is always a good sign. I would recommend and come back and again. Maybe next time we will do appetizer and switch it up. Nachos and some others looked like cool options. Worth coming back and venturing further down the menu. Keep ya posted if/when we do. read more

Came here for happy hour and while there felt a little bit peckish. I wanted to indulge in their dessert so I opted for their best dessert, the banana bread with ice cream. It's what they're known for says the bartender, but I wholeheartedly disagree. It was dry and bland and the ice cream was no special treat either. For it being their best dessert, they didn't hold up their end of the bargain. In the simplest terms, I've had better. I'll stick to drinks only at this place from now on. read more

Nice place to go to have drinks after work or just if you wanna go out on a quick little date nice atmosphere pleasant vibes a little loud and sometimes it does get a little crowded where you're waiting for a while but the blue cheese calamari is delicious. sometimes it can be a hit of miss. It's according to watch chef is on duty For that evening bacon tips are good but sometimes they overcook them and it spoils the whole meal so I do suggest if you go there for takeout to check your mail before you leave the restaurant make sure the quality of what you're getting is edible for you if something is overcooked it's just no good They're a bit pricey, though in there I think the prices are a little outrageous read more

Today was the second time we've ordered take-out from here in the past month -- and we have been incredibly impressed both times! We called in our order and it was ready within 15-20 minutes. Pick-up was quick and easy (though staff seemed a tad indifferent to us -- no biggie) and our meals were fantastic on both occasions -- large (great value for money!), hot, fresh and DELICIOUS. The first take-out I had the Kick n Chicken sandwich with tots -- absolutely scrumptious and so many tots! Super filling and I probably should have saved half for another day... today I went with something totally different and ordered the Chipotle Chicken Rigatoni -- I'm not usually a pasta fan but WOW, the sauce! I've never tasted anything like it and it was out of this world. My husband enjoyed both of his meals each time too, as well as the steak tips appy which he loves. We won't hesitate to order take-out from here again and may even try dining in one time -- though it looks super busy inside, packed each time we visited (around 3.30pm-4pm on a weekend). read more

Girls night out! We decided to have a few appetizers and some drinks on a Friday night. We arrived around 8:30 and it was fairly empty. Took about 10 minutes for our waitress to greet us and take our drink orders. I went with the IPA flight which included 3 different IPAs that the bartender chose. I really likes being able to try a few before deciding what to drink for the night. We ordered 3 appetizers. The fried calamari was just okay. The spinach artichoke dip was awful. It had a very thick layer of cheese covering it and I didn't see any artichokes. Most of these two appetizers weren't eaten. The third was the giant pretzel with cheese dip. I really liked that one. Service was okay at dinner. Once it turned into a nightclub atmosphere when the DJ started playing, service at the bar was horrible and rude. I was hopeful this place would be good, but I guess not. My boyfriend and I went here for date night and really loved the atmosphere and food. We were able to catch the last bit of happy hour for some drinks before dinner. I had their bourbon Arnold Palmer and it was everything I would want in a bourbon cocktail and an Arnold Palmer. For dinner I had their steak and sticks. Their fries were good, the aioli was to die for, and the steak had a nice marinade. I wanted it cooked medium but I would say it was more on the tougher medium well side. My boyfriend had the salmon and he said it was perfectly cooked. He let me have a taste and the marinade seasoning was delicious. This is tough. Stopped in on a whim on a Sunday afternoon. Reviewing the menu, prepared myself for a gorging unseen in these here parts prior. An old fashioned, the Brussel sprouts and thick cut bacon to start. Dreams of the steaks and deserts to come began.... And then... the service. It was abysmal. The food came and I was delicious. Perfectly cooked, seasoned, condiments delicious. Truly magic. And then we never saw our waitress again. Appetizer plates cold and empty, like our drinks, for almost 1.5 hours until the server returned. At this point full from the sprouts and bacon there didn't seem a point to order an entree when there were several delectable finishers awaiting. Ordered those.... And they never came. After spending a little over 2 hours, never being offered a refill on drinks, only receiving two apps, it was too much. Had to leave. The food was good enough that we would like to return to try more, but I can't justify making a special trip after the service we received. read more

Excellent and friendly service with great ambience. They have outdoor seating if the weather is nice. I started with the wings which were slightly overcooked and over sauced. Visited friends from the area and went here for dinner. I got white ride with Thai chili shrimp which picture came out blurry but was amazing ! My boyfriend had the ribs over rice which were cooked to perfection! We came with a group of 6 and had a wonderful time! They have a lot of whiskey themed drinks (hence the name) which were not my favorite (not a whiskey lover) but it was cool to see the unique mixes! I had a spicy margaritas which was to die for ! I WAS a regular of this bar/restaurant until this evening. Never have I ever felt disrespected in my life. While I was having a conversation with an acquaintance, one of the owners (JOE TIAGO), made a racist gesture (karate kicking). Obviously, I am of Asian decent, but in no way was it appropriate or acceptable. To be clear, this was not welcomed as I have never had an encounter with this gentleman nor do I know him. This has left me feeling unsafe and I would not recommend others to visit this establishment. This man is very much a racist and does not respect other cultures.
