    The Bada Bing Bird
    Matthew L.

Liberty Rock Tavern is a craft bar & grill that opened in Milford, Connecticut in October 2016. It was founded by friends Dan Rizzo, Brian Kearney, Dan Kardos and Chris Hey. The location had previously been home to the King's Court restaurant. Kearney (a bartender) and Kardos (a chef) had previously worked there, while Rizzo and Hey were customers there. When the owners of King's Court were looking to sell the location, Kearney approached Rizzo with the idea of opening their own restaurant. Rizzo has a background in marketing while Hey manages accounting. The focus of the menu is primarily craft burgers, crispy chicken sandwiches, tacos, wings, and other various pub food staples. They also feature an impressive craft beer selection. I was recently at Liberty Rock Tavern for a fundraising event for the Closer To Free Ride. After scanning the menu, I decided to order the Bada Bing Bird: a crispy chicken sandwich with pesto, provolone, roasted red peppers, prosciutto and balsamic vinegar. It was delicious!!! It paired really well with a couple of cold craft brews. Liberty Rock also has a food truck which visits breweries and other various locations around the state. While visiting Tribus Beer Company a couple of years ago, Liberty Rock was the food truck that day. I ordered their Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich (with crispy bacon, ranch, B&B pickles, pickled Jalapeños, and American cheese) with a side of Waffle Fries. I think it may be the best chicken sandwich I've ever eaten!!

Pork Belly Banh Mi sandwich... tasty!

70 max seating capacity bar seems a small place - don't let that fool you ! LRT rocks ! My first visit won't certainly be my last visit. Impressive service - less than 120 seconds after we entered their door, someone approached us and made us warmly welcome! The menu was explained ; the highlights of their menu mentioned but no pressure - everything seemed interesting ! We found their pork belly sandwich wonderful; their pork ribs awesome and their crab avocado toast unique and yummy.

I was really surprised at the quality of the chicken sandwiches and fried fish tacos. Also the old school Nintendo games that can be played on the wide screens on the wall was a great addition to entertain both the kids and the adult-children. We had just one bartender waiting on us for a small family gathering/event and she did a great job of getting drinks and helping us out if we need anything. They also have table shuffleboard in the center of the room that the toddler was fascinated with.

    Mango habanero wings. Really good!

This place is really good at what they do, which is provide a fun atmosphere to eat, drink and play games etc. Always good IPA's and other beers on tap. Plenty of ways to stay entertained. The food menu isn't extensive but what they serve is always consistently good.

I…read morerecently stopped in and ordered their signature bowl, The Triforce, and it was hands-down the best poke bowl I've ever had. The Triforce is loaded with tuna, salmon, and shrimp, paired with fresh pineapple and crisp cucumber, then topped with kani salad, seaweed salad, green onion, and roasted seaweed. Everything is brought together (sitting on top of your choice of rice, I chose sushi rice) with their poke special sauce and sweet chili sauce, which adds just the right balance of savory and sweet without overpowering the seafood. What really stood out was the freshness of every ingredient in the bowl. The fish tasted incredibly clean and high quality, the pineapple added a bright pop of sweetness, and the seaweed and kani salad gave the bowl a great mix of texture. Every bite felt perfectly balanced, and you could tell that nothing had been sitting around -- it all tasted freshly prepared. Beyond the food, the experience was great as well. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, making the whole visit feel relaxed and enjoyable from the moment I walked in. It's always nice when a place combines excellent food with genuinely good service. Overall, Natural Kitchen completely exceeded expectations. Between the incredibly fresh ingredients, the well-thought-out flavors in the Triforce bowl, and the friendly staff, this place has quickly become a must-visit for poke lovers in the Milford area. If you're looking for a fresh, flavorful meal, this spot absolutely delivers.

They do not ever skimp on sauce either. Go for one of their signature bowls for the best value. The overall flavor was good for the bowl that I got. The boba tea is nice but I also wish the texture of the boba was a bit better. Service was friendly and the store was clean.

Oysters were ok, personally not my favorite but had great flavor. The octopus was cooked to perfection. I wish they'd keep it on their menu. For small plates, we got the esquites and sweet plantains. The esquites was delicious. For the sweet plantains, they asked if we wanted the crema + queso fresco on the side but it still came on top. Plantains were alright, wasn't loving them though because they were drenched in the toppings. Kale salad was huge! Yummy and fresh. The food came out so quick. I love that they use corn tortillas for the tacos. The pork belly taco was drenched in kimchi, not my favorite but a good cut of pork belly. I like the lamb taco tasted just like a mini lamb gyro. The baja fish taco was my favorite though, it's comes in a huge slab. it was so good I ordered another. I love the chipotle sauce the Baja fish taco comes with too. The music was awesome too, such a vibe. A lot of EDM, felt like all they were missing was a disco ball. Very delicious, would come back.
