I wasn't overly impressed. My husband and I went here as part of our date night. It was kinda early so I wasn't too surprised that the place was slow. We had fun with the Jenga and the good drink prices. It was easy to find a seat to chat and no cover is great! I did try to request a song but the DJ said he was "new to DJing" and did not have a lot of songs. I was really disappointed and surprised. I don't like the bumping and grinding you feel like you have to do at most bars but this bar is nothing like most bars. Whiskey Dix is sooo much fun! The games are awesome and set the atmosphere up really well:) All the staff is friendly and personable. I love this bar!! I love being able to listen to country music here...it makes me so happy! What makes country better than an open bar full of awesome, fun, FREE games? Everytime I come here its with a large group of people, usually full of people loathing country music, and they have a great time! The drinks are good, decently priced and the open bar is a great place to hang out with friends. I'm not one for dancing but they do have a nice area to two step the night away or you can play shuffleboard, giant jenga, giant connect 4, darts or pool! Love this bar :) wish it were closer to town and I'd be there more often. read more

I went into Whiskey Dix for the first time last night, I used to go to this same bar when it was called Pecos back in the day and I didn't know it reopened as a country bar 3 years ago so as soon as I heard about it I rushed on down to check it out. Its crowded on a saturday but not so crowded that you have to squeeze your way through the bar, and the dance floor had lots of room and the music isn't too loud so you can still have a good conversation with your friends in there. There's no cover charge and parking is free. I will be going back for sure, its a good place to listen to country music and get your cardio on :) read more

I love this bar for country nights! They have a lot of space for dancing and the drinks are great! Not to mention the giant Jenga and connect four and other games that they have available to play! Plus, they have great food downstairs if you haven't had dinner before you came to the bar. read more

Went here late in the night with some friends and was harassed by the bouncer while trying to leave. I've never felt so uncomfortable at a bar in my life. It was my first visit and I don't think I'll return. read more

I went out with my girlfriends and we had a blast. The dance instructor taught us a few moves. For about 2 hours we were just laughing and having a great time. We are definitely going back! Drinks were good. They have their specials. We had a great experience and would recommend it. read more

I didn't know what to expect when coming here. Last time I was here was when it was 4 Play years ago. I loved getting there right when it opened (8 pm) because it wasn't busy at all. The place is really clean, the layout is nice. I loved the couch seating area. The bathroom was really clean. I was wanting a place to play darts and pool and it has both. The darts weren't crappy either; they had good tips on them. They also have shuffleboard, giant Jenga and a couple of other games. I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I also liked the bartenders and bouncers. I even loved the country music. I don't go out often but I can't wait to go there again. I live so close by and it's exactly the bar setting I enjoy. read more

I love Whiskey Dix! It's a fun bar atmosphere where you can also dance. The staff is awesome! They also give two-step lessons for free on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, as well as line dance lessons on Mondays. If dancing is not your style, they also have shuffleboard, pool tables and more. Parking does suck because it's shard with the restaurant downstairs, but if you get there earlier or after the restaurant closes, you can find a spot. read more

Great country bar and a spot for locals! Music is mostly top-40 and country hits from the last decade. A country dance club where there is a focus and dancing a lots of regulars who are GOOD! Modern Country two-step/swing, and always plenty of line dancing. FREE Lessons Monday-Wednesday, and good crowds every weekend. If you're not into dancing they have a lots of bar games and decent drink prices (by Hawaii standards...) If your a local and enjoy country dancing, this should be your spot, if your on island on vacation, its worth the cab ride out of downtown Waikiki! read more

I love country, and I love country bars, so since I moved to the island I was on the hunt to find something and Whiskey Dix popped up! The atmosphere is pretty great, you're going to get a lot of military guys because you're on Honolulu so if that's a deterrent for you you might want to check out another place. Overall, great country music. My only complaint is that there's barely any line dancing. They said there's line dancing classes on Monday and Wednesday nights but lets be real: most people are going to go dancing on the weekends. There's just a ton of two stepping which is a little repetitious. read more

wait a minute! this was the old forplay night club? wow! what a big difference a handful of months and a couple of cans of paint make! 2 awesome 7"x3.5' pool tables that take dollar bills and quarters. oh yeah.... blue felt dollar a game. got dart boards. did I mention monday nights is line dancin' and wednesday nights is 2 steppin'.... if you're a dix... be sure to bring your stetson hat, big o belt buckle, n your cowboy boots! don't worry about bringing a partner to dance with.... got a lot of southern bells that love to dance. oh yeah.... if you find the need to bring your cattle.... don't worry... got a handful bail of hay for them to graze right next to the dj.... lol! read more

I've been coming to whiskey dix for a few months now and from my experience it's an amazing place to come let loose and have a drink. They have darts, pool, a huge dance floor, beer pong and even 25 cent beer Thursdays! It's a great crowd of all ages. Mostly 21-35 y/o crowd. Lots of great dancers too! Hulu recommend! read more

Our favorite spot on the island! My hubby and I are both from the south & this place makes us feel a little closer to home;) Reasonably priced drinks, great music, and awesome staff!! The owner is great and the rest of the staff really take care of us. We come here a couple times a week- the weekends are always fun with different themes & events going on and the weekdays are pretty chill where we sit around playing shuffle board & giant jenga. It's fun to watch all of the line dancing going on:) I have to say, my favorite thing about this bar are the people working there: the security recognizes us and let's us right in with a handshake or hug, the bartenders know exactly what we drink and have it ready as soon as we walk in, and the owner always makes us feel welcome! It's the one bar where I feel "safe" and my husband can walk away for a min without having to worry about someone messing with me. A great place to be!! read more

DJ was too involved dancing to play decent music to dance to, and the women that were there tonight are too full of them self. What a waste of time. I wasn't looking to have sex on the dance floor let alone take one home, just looking for someone that knew how to two step. Decent place to hang out. Nice music. Yes, the beer was $7 but it was about 24 oz cup filled to the brim. The bar has dancers (men and women) to keep the dance floor moving. I'm not much of a country dancer, but it seemed everyone was pretty talented and the bar dancers could accommodate many types. Not too crowded, but crowded enough to be a good vibe. read more
