This bar is now in my top 3 of favorite bars on island. Now this was my first time on a Friday night for Country Karaoke so that is what I'm basing this review off of. I don't know what music they play other nights. But country karaoke is amazing fun!! First off, there is a dance floor off of the karaoke stage so needless to say there was some line dancing happening at times and other dancing, too. No one said anything when my friends and I didn't know how to dance.. we just went with it and tried and had the best time. Due to covid you cannot walk up to the bar to order a drink and there are drink servers that come to you. Everyone was nice and the service was great. Lots of seating but get there earlyish. When I left there were people lined at the door waiting to get in. Drinks are definitely reasonably priced too! I ordered a vodka soda (Tito's vodka) and 8 tequila (well) shots $43! Not bad at all!!! One of the best nights out in the last year and a half for sure!! Ps- there is a parking lot. read more

Dear Owner, If you think your business can survive without the support of the military ignore this message. If you don't, immediately fire your bouncer at the front door who checks ID's that claims he is from Philly. He made comments like "we are in the kicking out mood and we aren't going to take any shit from you military people". They even threw out one person that literally had one drink but they were sure to take this persons cover charge first. Questionable business practices to say the least. No joke! You are losing business because of this idiot. The military members that came to your business tonight were not looking for trouble but your security staff was. I would suggest some retraining for your staff to focus on real threats to safety instead of having a personal vendetta against members of the military that protect his ability to sit there and act like a complete jackass. Military members beware, this security staff lead by some moron at the front door doesn't appreciate your patronage and will look for any reason to mistreat and disrespect you with their tiny bit of power sitting at the front door of a bar checking ID's. The sheriffs make you feel safe, the bartenders remember your name, and the manager is so sweet! This is my first Country Bar, and I must say, it's not what I expected, it's such a good time. The vibe is amazing. When you first walk in your met by amazing bartenders and staff, the drinks are reasonably priced, every Thursday is (Quarter Beer Night, which is awesome! If you're not the dancing type, do not worry, Whiskey Dix's is located by Pearl Harbor, plenty of seating with a view of the Harbor. Pool and Darts games and a huge Jenga game to entertain a large group. The restrooms are spotless by the way, parking is free, and if you're a foody, right down stairs is Dixie Grill. Try the brisket! Or just bring your own meal, which I think is terrific. The manager is the heartbeat of the bar, she always present and always willing to engage with the customers, which I think is what makes this Country Bar special. Definitely 5 read more

One of the nozzles wasn't working for a drink we wanted, we waited, told her we would come back & ended up walking the finished drink over to us with a smile while we were enjoying watching the dancing and it just showed her expertise in making us feel taken care of. 100 s for Michelle. Give her a raise! Whiskey Dix overall has a great vibe. Monday night staff Paid the $5 cover and told to go ahead in. Walked in and immediately I was chased down by a bouncer as he yelled "where ya going bud? Looking for an ATM?.. its not over here *the bar* Wheres your wrist band?" This shows that the security measures and situational awareness of the bouncers here are low as well as their professionalism. Then after I walked back outside he stared me down and got all huffy. After I walked back out and explained what happened I walked to the bar and I asked if they had ulta. The bartender got frustrated with me for asking and made a sarcastic comment. I didn't buy anything. No one should be treated with disrespect and poorly especially when they are PAYING to keep your business running. The service sucks unfortunately. Never EVER going back. Management, please hire representatives that dont provoke customers and maintain a positive environment with communication to PAYING customers who just want to show up and decompress. The long dark blonde hair, tattooed arms, bartender will purposely charge you additional drinks on your tab...I've been here a few times and never had an issue, but last night when I went up to order my 3rd round of drinks, I was waiting at the bar and watched her serve multiple people and than when it came to my turn instead she asked a couple that had just walked up for their order instead of mine; so I asked if she was going to take my order, not sure why this annoyed her so much so gave me attitude, I returned her attitude back to her, she handed me my drinks and I gave her my name for the tab, she went to add the drinks to my tab and I SAW her add additional charges to my tab so I instantly asked the other server (who had served me my previous drinks) to print my tab immediately and just to my observation she added 4 additional green tea shots to my tab! My original serve immediately removed the green tea shots without question, and I had told her I saw the girl add them. Needless to say if she did it to me she has and is probably going to continue to do this. Not good business practice or ethics to keep a worker around that steals money from customers...This happened around 1200am 26 April 2025. read more

I'm not really one for country even though I'm from Tennessee with the thickest accent you ever heard. The moontang is the best thing you can order, it's cheap and strong. The bartenders give exceptional service, and make creative drinks (the bald dude is the best, he looks like a UFC fighter) These BS reviews about the security being a**holes, well, there's two sides to every story homies! Pretty simple rules, just follow them. Horrible service. First time coming in without knowing any rules and we were cursed at, called a cunt, called stupid by security or what they call "sheriffs." What a fun night. Came here on a whim on a Friday night and I'm glad we did. There was a $5 cover charge and you are required to show your vaccination card or have gotten tested. There are drink specials that run till 9pm, and tonight they had $20 corona buckets that come with 5 beers/ seltzers. Downfall is that due to covid you cannot order from the bar and need to be seated to order. They do have waitresses that come around but you also need to be able to find a seat. I do enjoy having dinner at Whiskey Dix Saloon. There's never a dull moment. They serve a 32oz Mai Tai with various rums. Each time one goes out, they yell it for everyone to hear. There's always good music playing or a sports show. We haven't been there when they have Live Music but I've heard it's pretty good. Tonight Hubby and I both had the Fried Catfish with various sides. Baked Beans, MAC and cheese, mashed potatoes & Gravy. Everything was seasoned to perfection. The food was awesome but the server wasn't. She was way to busy to give us consistent touchbacks. Went to this bar with hopes of singing karaoke until the bouncer said cover was $15 cash only. Was considering with my friends whether or not we wanted to stay and after giving my ID, the bouncer said "let me make this decision easy for you, this is a fake ID." I am 27 years old with a real ID from Michigan and he only admitted he "might have been mistaken" after a couple of my friends also gave him their ID from Michigan and trying to peel apart our IDs and arguing with us for a few minutes. He was super rude and smug about it and we decided not to go in given the attitude of the bouncer and the $15 cover for what seemed like an empty karaoke bar. read more

Love this place!! Such a great environment and a fun spot for dancing. Free line dancing and partner lessons are offered throughout the week if you want to learn. I celebrated my birthday here and the security and staff were so helpful with setting things up! It's easily become one of my favorite places on the island. Definitely recommend! read more

My favorite place to go dancing!! I stumbled upon it back in 2018 and have been going ever since!! I've met some of my closest friends here! When I first started going, I didn't know how to dance, I just went because I liked country music. I was a little nervous to get on the dance floor but everyone there was so welcoming and willing to teach me. The more I learned the more eager I was for the weekend to come so that I could go out dancing. I recently moved off island but I miss this bar and the people so much! Listen very carefully... any person that is visiting outside of Hawaii, this place is not welcoming of outsiders. It is filled with locals and military brats doing the wrong line dances and not following basic two stepping rules (ie moving on the outer rim in counterclockwise motion) Filled with lots of spins and twists with no actual dance moves involved. Me and my wife left after they fumbled up god bless Texas... I'm not sure how you do that but they did. Security is too aggressive and way too many of them for such a small building. The only good thing about this place is the drinks are cheap. The dance floor is filled with Mateus who are trying to see who can spin each other the most times with no rhythm at all. I had been to Dixie Grill in the past, but one of my friends told me about Whiskey Dix opening upstairs. The first time I went was shortly after the grand opening, so it was pretty low-key. However, last night was awesome! The place was packed, but the servers were still great about taking drink orders and clearing the tables quickly. The DJ was great and she kept everyone dancing, even before people might be dancing at Nashville's or the country bar on Pearl Harbor. I love the giant Jenga blocks off to the side. Yes, parking is a bit icky, but where is it not annoying around here? I was able to find a space after a few minutes, so it was okay. I had a great time and I'll definitely be back. read more

I like this place! I love the low key chill vibe of this bar. They have oversized Jenga and Checkers which is a blast to play. They also have darts and a pool table if large board games aren't your thing. There is a spacious dance floor and the DJ plays country music. A water jug is available so patrons can help them self to water at any time. Drinks cost $3-$6 depending on the special. Overall, it's a fun bar to just hang out with friends and play Jenga.
