Fun fun fun! Professional staff, excellent service and an even better atmosphere. Everything from the polite greetings to the cold drinks was exceptional. Shout out to Matt for his stellar awareness when I thought things were headed South. He diffused a potentially rough situation and had everyone laughing within minutes. If you're nearby, stop in! I like this place! I love the low key chill vibe of this bar. They have oversized Jenga and Checkers which is a blast to play. They also have darts and a pool table if large board games aren't your thing. There is a spacious dance floor and the DJ plays country music. A water jug is available so patrons can help them self to water at any time. Drinks cost $3-$6 depending on the special. Overall, it's a fun bar to just hang out with friends and play Jenga. There is no cover charge and parking is plentiful. read more

Wish i could give this place 1 star... genuinely might be the worst place i've ever been and i'm literally from oklahoma .... rudest bouncers i've ever encountered. If you're the management here I recommend you get some new bouncers who aren't power hungry. Insanely disrespectful, rude, and just horrible people. This place is the absolute worst! The security is incredibly rude. They watch like hawks off the balcony and if you have a can in your hand when you get out of an Uber, you are immediately not let in. It doesn't even matter the circumstances. My recommendation is to not go here at all. It looked super lame anyways and there is a $10 cover. If you do go, make sure you dont have a drink in your hand in the parking lot because you won't be let in. read more

The bouncers are extremely toxic and rude. This is actually the worst bar on island. You can't dance on the dance floor other than professional line dancing or you could get kicked out. You can't sing too loud or the male bodyguards will come tell you to calm down. You literally can't have fun at this bar whatsoever. This bar is absolute trash and just completely filled with toxic masculinity. I got touched inappropriately without my consent by someone and I told a body guard and he simply said "well he bought you a drink didn't he?" So there's that. I can't repeat enough how trash this bar is. The management is absolute trash, and the body guards are absolute garbage. Do better. read more

The worst place ever! We got out of our Uber (well over 21) and we threw our drinks in the trash bin across the parking lot and they wouldn't let us in because we drank before getting to the bar. They were rude assh*les and told us we couldn't go in because we drank before. So hostile and rude can't even give them 1 star. So disappointing for an awful bar to be so rude. read more

Just OK.. the bar tenders are rude and people outside are even worse. The woman collecting IDs needs to have another training session in "customer service" ... She was beyond rude, I don't even have a word for how AWFUL she truly is. The management should fire the woman in front and seriously reconsider who works behind the bar... I had such high hopes, sadly disappointed mostly because of the obnoxious lady in front checking IDs and the dude working the behind the counter at the bar. I get it, you want to flirt with the females, at least show me respect and take my drink order when your done attempting to pick women up. Where as the females, seemed disinterested in the dudes trying to hit on them and more turning over customers... which is exactly what you want. This is the most fun dancing spot on O'ahu. I come here regularly and have over the past 4 years.

Went here on a Saturday night at a little after 9. The place was completely dead. Seemed kinda odd for a Saturday but I figured people just go out later. The bar tender was very friendly and helpful. She made great drinks and had good recommendations on places to go after. We played pool for a bit but the room where the pool table was at was extremely hot compared to out on the dance floor. We ended up leaving because it got too hot. Also, wish they played a few pop songs but seems to be only country which is a little disappointing but understandable because of the name and decor in the bar. read more

This place was good at first. I understand the covid protocols and all (never a problem). At the bar itself they CANNOT AND WILL NOT serve you unless you are sitting. I was sitting on a bar stool. Bar tender #1 told me she'll be with me in a minute. I said okay. She whispered to bar tender #2. Immediately after that bar tender #2 came up to me and said she cannot serve me unless I am sitting. I told her I am sitting and pointed at the stool. She rolled her eyes said okay fine ill be with you in a minute. I got up and left to sit back at the original table I was at and told everyone I was with to no longer tip. I will say they kept turning people away who walked up to order and wasn't sitting. BUT!!! I don't do country bars... But this one was fun! My first thought was... "I feel so out of place!" cause a; I'm asian and b; I'm short...i looked around and saw...tall white guys! um...yeah...but after walking through the area and checking everything out, my friend introduced me to her friends (who were also short and asian) and it was a little better. :) I love that there's a lot to do here than just stand and drink - you can dance on the dance floor, play pool/shuffleboard, giant jenga, sit at the bar, or take a spot at the long picnic table benches and just hang out. Kate's the new DJ and she takes requests (although I didn't request anything) I did learn the bar serves only American brewed beverages - that includes hards. Nice shout out to America! :) It's also super conveniently located in Aiea on Kamehameha hwy so you don't have to drive out to town to enjoy a nice, american country bar. Although, I don't think I'd necessarily come here on my own since this isn't my music scene but with the right friends and right attitude, it's fabulous!! read more

I've been here several times within the year since my west side friend like this bar to chill at since it doesn't get crazy busy. The first time I went here, I felt I stepped into hoedown in Texas. It really is something that I'm not used to seeing around on the island. For those country music lovers, this is the spot to be at! It's cool though, there's a dance floor where regulars like to express their love for country music and dancing. What I enjoy about this bar is that they have a life size jenga and checkers that we always play when we come here. That's probably the only reason we come here to hang is lounge in the back sofa's and play against one another. We've only gone during a weekday so it's less crowded which we like so we don't have to deal with having to find seats like other bars. So if you wanna beat the crowd, I suggest going during the week. There ample parking in front of Dixie Grill and no cover as well. They only serve drinks here so come here when you're out and about looking for a place to chill after dinner. Prices are comparable like other bars with their alcohol prices. They seem drinks you'll find at other bars. Servers there are attentive and always check on us if we need anything for the past experiences I've been there. Overall, for me this place is just okay. It's not my time of scene or music. The atmosphere is so country and really dark inside. I'd really come back here just to play games though. That's the fun part of being at this bar. read more

Why did it take me 2 years to come here?!?! I love that they teach you how to dance on certain nights: Mondays - Learn the Line Dances, Tues-Wed - Learn how to Two-Step. Parking: Limited to the Dixie Grill/Whiskey Dix parking lot. Therefore, I don't know where else to park if you don't find parking here... thankfully I always have so far! Drinks: Drink prices are pretty awesome. Not overly expensive, probably because it's the Pearl area vs downtown Honolulu. I still think they are cheaper than other places I have been! Plus, the bartender is really awesome. They have made me some delicious drinks. Usually, he will make me a Ginger Peach! Delicious drink - ask for it from the male bartender! Dancing: Lots of guys here know how to two-step or are at least pretty decent! I was actually surprised since it's Hawaii, but I love coming here, because finding someone to dance with isn't too hard. They just have to know that you want to dance... The employees here are awesome! The DJ (Elliot) is a great dancer and dance teacher. Ambience: There are couches in a lounge area with a huge Jenga! There is a big Connect Four game. There is also a pool area by the DJ post and near the dancing stage area. Hard to tell unless you go to the back of the room. There is also a beer pong table, so that's pretty cool. It really does tailor to a lot of different things you can do, if you don't like to dance, but just want to listen to country music. I will say that the dancing area is kind of small, but it's still pretty fun out there! I love this place :) read more

I have now been to Whiskey Dix about 10 times, and I can say that each visit gradually made me dislike it more. Not an LGBTQ+ friendly establishment, the bouncers are overly physical/aggressive, and you will get forcibly removed if you aren't line dancing on the dance floor. These "sheriffs" could definitely use some training on customer service. Military guys treating customers like they're in the military too. The only good things I can say are that the bar tenders are amazing, and the drinks are reasonably priced. read more

I have been to this bar before. But today, the bouncer decided to deny my id. when asked why, he had no answer. Instead ge decided to declare that he has the right to refuse entry to anyone. For a bar of this caliber, a fight at the door breaks the tie of whether or not to attend. A friend of mine says she loves the new owner of this country bar. She said it was great and I had to check it out. I'm glad I did. PARKING/LOCATION: The bar is upstairs from Dixie Grill, which means it shares its parking lot with Dixie Grill, which can get crowded because it's such a great southern style restaurant. Popular dining hours mean it's hard to find a parking spot. FUN! GIANT JENGA! I was pretty sold on this one. They have two Giant Jenga sets set up among couches and chairs! This was our 2nd stop on my birthday celebration tour. We had so much fun here. They have a variety of entertainment options here pool tables, darts, giant jenga, shuffle board, and as with any great country bar dancing! The drink prices are reasonable and well balanced. The bartenders are friendly and the service is quick. I am only giving 4 stars as I am dedicating one star as one of the doormen/bouncers was very rude. He seemed to have a chip on his shoulder. While I don't expect them to be overly friendly, as their job ensures safety, I do expect them to be polite when entering the club. i'm so upset that i didnt find this place sooner. absolutely my favorite bar on island. good music, dancing, and cheap drinks. from the first night i was here, the staff have been so welcoming. the first time i visited, jimmy approached me twice with checkups to make sure a rogue customer wasnt making me uncomfortable or bothering me. i make an effort to now come at least once a week, and i was quickly recognized as a familiar face. the staff have gone above and beyond to make this place my home bar, enough that i am fully comfortable coming here by myself to dance as a 24-year old woman-- even leaving my drink behind to go on the dance floor. shoutouts especially to jimmy, ky, christian, and caitlyn read more

Not a bad little spot, cool little county scene in hi. I'd come back, but next time ill bring my dancing shoes. There's a stage where a band performs and floor food line and swing dancing, so anticipate seeing that. It's kind of nice to have a bar/club out on the Leeward/central side. I love that my friends and I don't need to travel out to Waikiki to get to a dance club, the only issue is that I have no idea how to line dance and that's not really my thing lol. In terms of hanging out, at least it's a decent size, has giant jenga, a few places to sit, and pool tables. The bartender we had was also pretty nice. I dunno, but I didn't like their music choices (they played a lot of the pop country currently polluting the airwaves). i've been in biker bars.... i've been in dive bars.... i've been in local bars.... but this was my very first time in a country bar! i didn't see any signage for this place, so i wasn't sure exactly where it was.... it is upstairs from Dixie Grill, and shares the same parking lot. they play good country music by popular artists (Jo Dee Messina, Dixie Chicks, Joe Nichols, etc....) and they have great live music on Tuesdays too. GIANT JENGA! i should not have to elaborate.... ;) you're here for booze and beverages? well....... - Patron shot = $9 - Rum (well) and coke = $5 - Soda = $2 (Make sure you ask for the large cup) - large cup of water = 50 cents..... yeah..... O_O - They carry AMERICAN BEER ONLY. - They have beer on tap, but NO PITCHERS.... - their "Lone Ranger" drink is $4 with a Yelp check-in (but you have to go to the bar, you cannot redeem this with a waitress) - they have a selection of whiskies which are American made only too... no scotch, etc. at this point, i should mention - another yelper on here complained that they did not carry Grey Goose and other such liquors... if you read their business description, or visit their website, or even talk to the bartenders, it is stated all over that they only carry AMERICAN beers and spirits. you have to respect that they're trying to support US made products. They have line dancing on certain nights, and line dancing classes, and a very large dance floor to strut your stuff. dancing not your thing? they have a game room as well with two 7-foot pool tables, foosball table, 4 player Pac-man, and a "Big Game Hunter" shooting arcade game.... their website shows a shuffle board, but they must have taken it out b/c it is not there? too bad :( the bartenders and waitresses are nice, and overall it is a pretty fun place. yes, it is not a place where you'd find a ton of "local" people, however, i've been here a couple times and was not mistreated. they do not have food (only "snacks"), BUT they will allow you to bring up food from Dixie Grill down stairs. a junk part is parking... the stalls are tight, and the lot is shared with Dixie Grill and Go Banana's, so if its busy, its hard to find a spot. read more
