Their selection is always good. the quality of their used furniture is usually top notch although there could be mars to the finish and so on. I care mostly that what I buy is sturdy and will stand up to years of use. Cosmetics don't concern me that much. Customer care is excellent here. On one occasion the delivery guy was waiting for me in my driveway when I got home. And we left the showroom at about the same time. Impressive. They are a bit out of the way. on a side street just off hwy 99 in Tigard, just next to 2177. Easy enough to get to if you study the map. this place continues to be my go-to when I need a sturdy piece of furniture at a fair price that will last.

I am an avid shopper and have frequented similar stores all over the US, so it is with great confidence that I can say Pulp & Circumstance is one of the best. It is lovingly and beautifully curated by co owners and friends Jennifer & Ashley. I was doing business in the neighborhood and noticed they were finally open (I peeked in their window last week) and today is their grand opening. The store is located inside of a beautiful Victorian house that has been expertly transformed into about 1,000 sq feet of retail space. There are three major rooms that house a variety of items including but not limited to: fresh flowers, air plants, succulents, books, at least 100 (very cute, often letterpress) cards, stationary, baby gifts, jewelry, candy by the pound, jewelry, mirrors, art, etc. Best of all some of the wares are from local artists and businesses. Many of the items here I have never seem before, and I easily spent a hour familiarizing myself with my new go to place for gifts, small home decor items and cards. Does it sounds like the owners here are my very best friends? Well they are not (yet). Today was the first time I met these two remarkably charming and welcoming gals in my community. I am looking forward to future chats about the happenings in the Berg (we traded information about what other businesses are coming to town including a bakery and restaurant this summer). I picked up two mirrors, a postcard, a camping cookbook, a Father's Day card, a wedding card and a thank you card set. And I will likely be back tonight for their official grand opening party with my husband. Pretty please come shop here and support this brand new business which I suspect will quickly find great success and a loyal cult following.

We may not have ever decided on our dream bathroom without her and the final price was better than we expected, especially after she found a great deal (in store clearance) on some porcelain tile that looked better than our first choice, which ended up being backordered/out of stock. We felt like we won the lottery with the much higher quality in the clearance tile that ended up costing us about a fourth of our original choice. She also searched for options to meet our color scheme and found a set that matched when we thought there wasn't an option that met the specific pieces we were looking for. Well, due to some rent issues, they ended up in a shopping center off of NW Barnes. I happened upon it while killing time before a doctors appointment. It's still filled with charming items for your home and garden, most with an old world charm - think urns, topiaries, trailing ivy, fleur-de-lis, iron accents, rustic wood, arched frames and mirrors. Also lots of furniture from accent tables to display units, tables, chairs, desks and more. The owner is so friendly and helpful. If you are looking for ideas, seek him out! Items are unique and affordable in an array of price ranges. While this style as perfect for my previous home and garden, there aren't many items that work in my modern condo, but I purchased some gifts for friends. During the Christmas season, I bought giagantic snowflakes, candle holders and lit trees. If you used to visit this shop when they were on NW 23rd, take the quick ride out to NW Cedar Hills area and continue to support them in this new location. I fear they no longer get the foot traffic; this shop is so special, we need to keep them in business!

A few months back I came looking for a some african violets, and there were none in the store. I gave them my number and asked to let me know when they received some. And they did! A month later the store called me and left a voicemail that the violets were in. I came by and grabbed three. That is what I call a great experience! Today I got a gorgeous boston fern and a a fabulous monstera priced to kill. I am so happy every time I visit this beautiful shop!
