I can only assume they're more casual plant owners as we found the prices extremely comparable to big box stores like Home Depot or Lowe's and felt that the quality was much better. We bought fairly basic houseplants as we prefer not to have to rely on grow lights to support the more fun, exotic tropicals. We bought a highly variegated pothos (I'm thinking it's a golden queen, but I didn't double check) and two vibrant purple inch plants with hearty substantial stems and paid $50 total. We chatted with the owner and learned his story and just generally enjoyed supporting a small business. I'll be recommending this shop to all my plant friends!

Repotting in Winter before the growing season is what I do for all my houseplants. When I took this plant out of its tiny pot there was only one root that is about half an inch long. Shocked that I was sold a plant that was never well rooted to begin with. It's chances were not good and it's not thriving at all. I am very experienced with snake plants and own several. After this experience I will never shop there again! I think it is an extremely bad business practice to sell plants from cuttings that are not well rooted. I don't like leaving bad reviews but plants are expensive now and I think people should know what is going on in this store.

Plus they carry so many varieties: the popular succulent and air plants, textured ferns, easy to grow pathos and snake plants, flowering bromeliads and anthurium (2 of my faves) and so much more. It takes a lot of willpower for me leave with just one or two plants. The owners are super knowledgeable and can help you choose a plant based on the lighting conditions and the preferred spot for placement. And your ability and desire to provide care. Plants know the environment they prefer and thrive in the right conditions. Always better to choose the right plant for your conditions rather than try to get your favorite plant to adapt. They won't! This gem of a store also has a few gift items, but I'm here for the plants.

I have recommended this business many times, and will continue to do so. Their customer service is excellent and I appreciate the value I have received for mature/several year old (slow growth) plants. You can easily find boxwood plants online from any major retailer or garden center. But you won't find boxwood topiaries or full-sized (pre-shaped) globes, obelisks, etc. for garden art. Truly a wonderful place and I will obviously be back for more!
