I needed to get a car for my sister from Queensbury to Albany Airport. The first 2 Limo services in the area were EXTREMELY RUDE. I kept dialing and reached Joanne... she was extremely nice and professional. I was able to book the car service and so happy I didn't settle with the other 2 companies... The jacuzzi was open and just what the dr ordered. We ate out a few times, but the kitchen was fully furnished to make a nice dinner last night . our unit 13 has a lovely main bedroom with a jacuzzi on-suite. With 2nd bedroom on the same level. The 2nd floor had great views from the living room and a fireplace that opened to the dining room. with a 3 rd bedroom in a loft (a very cool room for kids ) easy parking . since the fireworks were right down the road, we walked down to the doc and could watch without having to drive the views are spectacular. The only minus here is that the welcome center is only open from 7a to 7p and when it's closed, the restrooms are also closed. That's not a huge problem for me as I have facilities on board, but passenger vehicles do not. US-4 is a pretty quiet road. I arrived here at 9:00 pm and departed at 6:30 am. The state is up north and its claim to fame is maple syrup. That and the tons and tons of snow it gets during the winter. Or at the very least that's why we went. We wanted to experience it firsthand. We stopped at the welcome center and learned quite a bit. There are pamphlets everywhere. Charts, too, depicting who is from the state, who died from the military, and even movies made in the state. Did you know that Beetlejuice was filmed there? Other than that, I cannot say much. There are bathrooms, but I did not use them. There is coffee, but I did not have any. Oh, and there are soda machines for snacks. Come to think about it, there were attendants, but they were having a cup of coffee. Then again, it was Christmas Eve and it was in the teens. I really didn't notice them until the end. This is just a tranquil place that you can go at your own pace. Feels attendants are there just in case.

This is a real company!! I was worried because there is no uber or lyft in Lake George, but the…read moreLake George Taxi service (also called Tri-County Taxi) was dependable and affordable. I needed to take a taxi to the Fort Edwards-Glen Falls Amtrak stop, and it was $27.50 (then I tipped about 20%). The woman answering the phone was very kind, and I was able to secure a ride for 12:30pm when I called at about 8:30am that morning. The only reason that this isn't a 5 star review is because the driver was a bit late, couldn't figure out how to verify my credit card (so I just paid cash), and acted a bit strange. The car was also a bit beat up, but it got me where I needed to go! I would recommend this ride share service if you need a ride, but call in advance to schedule and have cash handy just in case!
