Food was so good and fresh. Fries were crispy ... everything was to my liking. And the loaded fries I'll be getting them again.

I really like White Castle burgers and fries. This location has a large parking lot which can accommodate big rigs, and that makes it easier for me to stop for a meal. Each time I have visited in the past, I found the facilities, both inside and out, to be clean and well kept. I always order my sliders 'with everything' That's the way I enjoy them the most. Each visit at this location, however, has resulted in disappointment. My sliders have been lacking mustard and ketchup with each order. Unfortunately, if you do take-out and are miles away by the time you discover that something-just-isn't-right, there simply isn't any way to fix it. To make sure that everything is in place, I opened my cheeseburgers for inspection. Much to my dismay, I could only find pickles and onions, but not a trace of mustard or ketchup. with similar issues at other White Castle locations in the past, I guess from now on instead of saying "with everything", I'll have to say, "with mustard and ketchup, pickles and onions". read more

Had it delivered to my job and the service was good but when I received my food it was made to order but when I received my slushy it was disappointing when I opened the bag. Will not be ordering again. read more

I never thought I would write a review about a fast food chain, typically I write reviews for non fast food chains, but I got to say few things about this location, some may find funny, some may find helpful, just know I am trying to be legit here on this. I have been coming to this White Castle for years from when I was a kid, to when I was in high school and even in College, as well few time last couple years. honestly tonight may be the last time I come to this location, it is only 4 minutes from my home, but unsure what the issue is with the employees of the nigh crew, but I always see the same crap from night crew, never the day crew. So Tonight my Partner and I ordered 4 impossible burgers and 20 chicken rings. Got home and well last I checked impossible burgers were to have its plant based burger, cheese if you want it(which we always ask for it not to be on the burger), pickles and onions. Not sure what it is with this White castle but they are the only one's in Hammond and the area who are incompetent on making the burgers correct, and it also takes them a longer amount of time to make majority of anything one orders. They told us to pull around to the side to have order brought out to us, someone behind us I doubt had the same order, but their's was done when ours was just about, not to mention there was no customer service skills what so ever, the night crew gives the impression they do not want to be working there. When we go to the 6517 Calumet Ave, Hammond, IN 46324 location we are greeted, the employees there are apologetic on the order being slow even though they do not need to be, but they are providing true customer service skills, plus in a timely manner we get our meal, but here at this location in Hammond not sure what is going on, if it is the management or the employees. The only positive thing I can say about this establishment is that the food is almost always fresh. Every single time I have ordered loaded fries, there is barely any cheese or bacon. They even skimp on the fries most of the time too. I don't understand what workers feel that they are loosing by actually giving a good, fair serving of food. Given the prices these days, it is so frustrating to be skimped on food. And every time I ask for extra ranch, I am told no straight up because "ranch doesn't go with" what I ordered. But J like to dip the sliders and all sides in it and that's my business. They don't even give me the option to purchase it. And every single time I order a gooey butter cake, they forget it. Pretty good but their line is always long. They do their best to keep it pushing but when your hungry it's frustrates you even more if you don't have patience. My favorite items from here are, chicken rings, fries & chicken sandwiches. read more

I asked for fresh, hot sliders to go and got disgusting, dried out meat patties, caramelized tough onions and hard, stale buns. How they have the nerve to send out food like that is a disgrace. The White Castle on Calumet Ave and 165th Street is the WORST!!! read more

What can you say!!!!! The place is an institution..... Where else can you go and get your grub on and be entertained at 3 am??? Nothing like a sack of ten or twelve after a night of partying.....they have a spongelike effect that soaks up all the booze. read more

This White Castle pales in comparison to the Whiting location which I'm pretty sure is the best in the region.. at least to my knowledge it is. That aside, this is the one I usually go to, and it's worth it. Every now and then there will be someone rude in the drive-thru lately, but most of the time the service is great, especially inside. I've never once had bad service inside of the restaurant that I can recall. Everything is tasty just like it is supposed to be. The shakes are usually not available late at night so I suggest going earlier if you want one. That's about it though. It's probably the second best one around, although I don't think I've ever really been to a completely bad one. White Castle just plain rocks in general. read more

Wanna see someone screw up 6 hamburgers? Go to this restaurant quick. Ny coworkers and I decided to stop here for lunch..I ordered the #1 (4 burgers, fries and a coke) I added 2 extra burgers made the same exact way and by her reaction one would of thought I was asking her to change her religion The lady that took my order was absolutely rude and acted like I was inconveniencing her.. On the burgers I wanted cheese/no pickle She took my order and as I stepped to the side to let my coworker order she walked away from him leaving him standing there. Got my order fairly quickly... Sat down and yes...there was pickles on all 6 burgers Now, this is not the crime of the century, but how does a person screw up an order that she just heard, entered into the computer and had the order displayed on a computer monitor above her head? Now here's the kicker, my coworker ordered extra pickle and got the same amount of pickles I got. I openly complained and got no apology..instead I got no response at all. I just don't understand how a person can screw up an order when a customer asked them NOT to do something to a burger? It's not rocket science, it's a hamburger I can accept a mistake; but when you're treated like dogshit and your order is wrong That's how you get a bad review My suggestion? They are White Castle. The real deal not frozen or out of a food truck. Fresh warm and oh so tasty. Great any time of the day. And love that they are open 24 hours. So wish they expanded to all points of the country. read more
