Oh nooooo! Im screaming with utter disgust. I went and put in a order with my family, I normally don't eat this food. It was so quick, so I ordered a vanilla milkshake, being that the weather is warm and it just felt like what I needed to quench my almost summer appetite. As soon as I was handed my shake I couldn't get to it quick enough, I took a instant gulp, and "ohhh noooooo" it was like I ripped out the cord to my gas stove and took a drink directly from the gas tank. This happened today March 21, 2026 at 3:22pm my mother in law and myself took a gulp, and can now still taste the taste of gas with each breath, or burp. My sister told me about White Castle turning into a restaurant for Valentine's Day so I immediately made reservations. We got there a little before 9pm and in order to get in you had to show your reservation confirmation at the door. The restaurant was decorated with red table cloths, banners, and balloons. It was so cute inside. The waitress took pictures of us and was really sweet. They had a special Valentine's Day menu. We ordered two #6 with cokes and an order of mozzarella sticks. For dessert, fudge brownie on a stick. The manager also made cupcakes and we got to bring some home. The food was good and I was stuffed. It was definitely a fun experience. 10/10!!!!! read more

I visit White Castle once every 3 months, it is my guilty pleasure and I am NOT ashamed. My affinity with White Castle goes all the way back to Brooklyn NY before Staten Island got its first White Castle. The soft steamed buns, the onions, the next to nothing of a burger covered in cheese....its perfect! Give me 10 of those with some onion rings...I am a happy camper. I am surprised I have not reviewed this location, I have been coming year for approximately 3 years. I had a mobile order for pickup and when I arrived the doors were locked and when I knocked to get their attention one waved me off and then next one told me to WALK THROUGH THE DROVE THROUGH to get my food. I purchased the #3 on May 15th 2023 I purchased 15 chicken slides with cheese at 11:51pm. I discovered something so Gross in 4 of the chicken burgers. I re packed all the burgers up and bought them back today [May 17th 2023] only because due to work yesterday I couldn't. I bought it back with the Receipt. This is still my favorite white castle .Right their on hillside ave in jamaica queens. I was just there today and I ordered 20 cheese burgers and 2 chicken and waffles sandwiches. I got 10 cheese burgers for $7.99 and another 10 for $7.99 all of that for under $20.00 .really good price .and the service was good and really fast.this is still a favorite for some many years. And the ambiance was relaxed and quiet in this place .for all that want to sit down and dine ,they have seats and tables. they also have a drive through for all you drivers .so after all these years white castle still has that classic taste to there cheese burgers. Back in the day (I feel old), there were White Castle locations all over the city. White Castle was almost as popular as McDonalds. Then, White Castle faded into oblivion. One by one, locations closed. This is one of the few locations left. IMO, the food here tastes better than McDonalds. My favorite sandwiches are the chicken ring sandwich with cheese and the fish sandwich with cheese. The sandwiches are smaller than most fast food restaurant sandwiches. You have to spend quite a few bucks to buy enough food to fill you up. Nevertheless, it's worth it. Someone mentioned seeing a rat in the restaurant. I've eaten here twice in the past month and didn't get sick (for the record, I've gotten sick from fast food quite a few times. All of those locations were "A" rated). I'm not disputing his account. With that said, when I was there, the restaurant seemed reasonably clean- and that includes the food prep area. I'm definitely returning. read more

How does White Castle of all places mess up so badly? Easy! It's Christmas Eve 2019. I find myself walking down Hillside and want to get a quick bite. White Castle's aren't super plentiful wherever I go (aside from the one in the Rego Park area) so if there's an opportunity to get a quick bite, I'll hit up a White Castle. No shame. I like their food. I go to this location and want to ask a simple question about their Bacon Cheddar combo: "Can I substitute the fries in that combo w/ chicken rings?" I ask the original cashier this question, then some other co-worker barges in and insists to take on this simple question. Cool. I'm met with "That's not a combo." But Miss... I'm looking right at it, it's 2 bacon cheddar sliders, fries and a drink. How's that not a combo? She responds "Show me where this is on the menu. Because I know this menu inside and out." I'm pretty dumb-founded at this point. I take a picture on my phone and tell her "Hey listen, I got a pic here, I'll save you the trip!" but out she comes from behind the counter to look and lo and behold, it's there in it's glorious orange text: Bacon Cheddar Combo, with the details below. See attached pic. She says "That's not a combo." I point and ask her what the third word says. Then as she's walking back she says "No, you'd have to pay the difference for the chicken rings." GREAT. An answer! All that for ONE SIMPLE QUESTION?? I stood there for a moment and said out loud "F this, I'm not giving you guys my money." And I went on over to the KFC next door and ate there. How could I trust them with my food after some nonsense like that just took place? Y'know what it is? It's a bad attitude mixed w/ absolute arrogance on her part. I've worked with people like that over the years and they fail miserably at even the most simple tasks at their job because misery loves company, and they gotta pick every single battle. So they protract simple tasks at their job. They get into it with customers over minor slights. Their other co-workers can't stand them because they just make work that less fun, and I encountered one of those today. And to have that attitude on Christmas Eve is beyond sad. I wasn't asking some difficult question, or asking the world of you. And i would've paid the difference. I was hungry and wanted clarification. I usually go thru drive through for my orders but today decided to go inside because I wanted to create my own drink option. When I went in, I notice that the drink machine was broken. That's ok. No problem. I walked to the counter. There was no one in front of me so I ordered my food. I wanted an item that was no longer available, that made me kind of upset. Wasn't their fault though. I ordered my food and a drink. The drink came out prompt. I sat down and waited for my food. My food came out not too long after which was pretty good. I sat in the restaurant and ate my food. It was quiet out there. The employees were pretty loud and using foul language. I didn't enjoy that too much. That was something that caught my attention quite a bit because they were quite loud with it. I thought it was a little on the rude side. Back then, the staff was patient and the food reflected this by being well-cooked. This was sure to fulfill your cravings with layers of delicious sliders. Not anymore, no longer is this location the stoner's delight. It does not take much talent to cook these sliders since the setup is standard nationwide. There should not be a difference between tastes, at this point it is about quality and customer service. My most recent visit makes me never want to come back, I do not even think that is a consideration at this juncture. The individual taking orders at the drive-thru was not clear with her communication. She was sprinting through the order, making numerous blunders, and not wanting to reconfirm the orders. After grabbing the food at the window, it turned out a few items were unaccounted for. Then what was left tasted the same way as the employee treated us, like it was rushed. I know I shouldn't expect much from White Castle. Admittedly, I don't frequent and I'm actually a closet fan. I'm fully aware they have a cleanliness equivalent to the New York subway but when I saw that they now serve veggie burgers, I HAD to try. Could it be? The same gooey goodness they're addictively known for is now tempting we vegans? The answer is, no...B- for effort, though. They were better than the average fad-driven veggie-burger at non-veggie spots. And fair way better than Burger Kings nauseating veggie-burger epic fail... White Castle spared the cardboard flavor despite the color. It just didn't have the lively flavor aka greesy delight, they're so well known (and sought-out) for. It was however $.80. It's hard to complain and unfair to expect much more for that. In summary, it was a neat ambition. Veggie Burger still tastes in its beta phase. Like a recipe from a newlywed wife...Ima give it time because it has the promise of more and for less than a dollar is worth another try. Signature fries as great as always. I'll be honest with you. I've never been to White Castle before 9PM. I never crave a slider unless it's late night and/or really drunk. That being said, if I were drunk right now I would be giving this a 5/5. However, I am sober and will give an impartial review. The sliders are made of patties with holes in them for quicker cooking. It looks pretty gross while they're being made, but the final product is 2x2 inches of yum. Everything else on the menu is secondary. I would stay away from anything else. The fries aren't anything special and neither are the other sides such as the clam strips. I don't mess with the new items such as the surf and turf stuff or the breakfast sandwiches. I'm old school with it. Also, I always go to the drive thru for any WC location. It's just too dirty inside for the most part for me to feel comfortable eating there. I do not eat here often but when I choose to indulge in late night fast food eats, you better believe this place is number one on my list. For starters, all of their food is ALWAYS, without fail, made fresh and comes to you piping hot. That's a major plus at 4:30 AM when you're searching for that perfect meal to satisfy your hunger. Secondly, White Castle (in general) has the best mozzarella sticks I've ever tasted in my life thus far. Crispy, well seasoned and overflowing with cheese, I have to buy this every time I come here. The chicken breast sandwiches (don't forget the cheese) are very juicy and full of flavor. The clam strips might be some form of mystery meat but they do taste pretty decent. Let's face it, you get what you pay for. Regardless of that fact, the staff here is always very courteous. Even if I tried to resist the temptation, I can see this wonderful institution from my bedroom window...taunting and teasing me. My inner fatty just cannot withstand the temptation. Some people say that they are made with kangaroo meat. I've always visited at off-peak hours, so I can't say what it's like during the lunch or dinner rush (if indeed there is one). Visit this restaurant if you want to see the embodiment of laziness in workers. I have patronized this restaurant for several years and always wanted to Yelp them for their bad service, but never got around to it. Today, I made the time to do so after yesterday's experience with them. It usually takes 5-10 minutes for someone to get on the telecom to take your order. It was so bad one time that I actually drove around the restaurant to see if it was open. With only 1 - 2 cars in front of you in the drive through, it takes 20-30 minutes to get to the pickup window. Yes, 20-30 minutes 99% of the time with just a car or two ahead of you. This has to be the worst fast food drive through in Queens. Peer inside and you will see laziness just oozing from the workers inside, taking their time and doing their own thing, without regard to the amount of time they are taking to get your order done. Yes, after getting to the window to pay, it is another 5 minutes wait for them to take your money and give you the food. Apparently ownership or management does not care because this has been going on for years. What a sorry excuse for a fast food restaurant.
