Food was very good. I went on a Sunday so it was packed but the service could've been quicker. The restaurant was very loud for a Sunday @ mid day but other than that very clean.

What an adventure in disappointment. Been coming to this diner over 40 years. The ambiance is fine. Brought grandma and daughter for dinner. Gramma ordered omelette with hash browns. It came with two over-fried dollar store frozen hash browns. My gyro platter came with over-fried onion rings and the gyro lamb was hard enough to eat as jerky. But over 40 years, you can't expect perfection every time. However.. When I bought this to the attention of the waiter, his response was " I only serve the food. " He said he'd bring the manager who never came. No offer to take anything off the $82 bill. I paid at the counter and said I wouldn't pay to for service and food. Cashier turned away completely indifferent. I used to take clients and public officials to eat here. NEVER AGAIN!!! Classic on Jamaica and Esquire on Woodhaven will graciously have my business from now on.

I like diners for the variety cuisine of food listed in the menu. Ahh.. diners is the embodiment of American optimism and nostalgia for a sense of comfort, sustainability and stability. Breakfast served all day adds another positive aspect to the American diner experience. It has been a long while since I had Belgian waffles. Belgian waffles with turkey sausage accompanied with butter and syrup $14.50 which was a good value. Customer service is average and attentive as I dine alone. Atmospheric conditions are of standard American diner - relaxed and family oriented. Thankfully, no boisterously loud music here. Takeout menu is available for grabs as well as a catering menu. The takeout menu is a full-scale menu selection in a booklet form like a event program. Note: This diner operates 24 hours.

Food- 3/5 Service- 3.5/5 Ambiance- 4/5 Overall I'd give Atlantic Diner a solid 3/5. Let's start with the food. Everything tasted pretty standard. The broccoli had no flavor. The home fries were okay. The service was good. We had to stop other servers a few times, and the staff seemed like they were okay with it. I'm sure they're used to it. It was nonstop crowded and also a Sunday so I don't know if that made a difference. The seating was tight and the diner looks to hold about 50 people in the front dining area where I sat. Thumb up and would return. If you're looking for a larger portioned, moderately priced, basic breakfast, stop by!

i'm not a huge fan of diners, but I'm happy they're still around. Whenever I get my car in for an oil change, I always come to this diner. It is solid. And today I had a perfect scrambled egg with ham on a roll. And a very nice cup of coffee. The staff is very nice and efficient. The place is clean.

    Chicken Parmigiana Panini
    William G.

I gave this place 3 starts for being able to accommodate a large group on short notice. We all gathered here after a funeral to eat and catchup. The service was all over the place. When we first got there they seemed to be very attentive but as time went on they slowly began to fade and become nonexistent. I ordered the chicken parmigiana panini which had very little resemblance to a panini. The bread was hero bread with thin strips of chicken cutlet that couldn't accommodate the excessive amount of hero bread, with mozzarella cheese. The marinara sauce has absorbed into the bread and therefore made the "panini" super dry. I had to ask for a side of marinara to help with the dryness. When a place has pages upon pages of menu items, it's probably not going to be a good experience. Or maybe that's just my experience. Call the dish what it really is but don't slap chicken on hero bread, throw it under a panini press that can't fit the amount of bread and then call it a panini. Lastly, the prices are RIDICULOUSLY unreasonable. I seen an egg salad sandwich with bacon for $14.95. I'm one and done with this spot.

It's in the corner of a busy street but they conveniently have a parking garage. I had the two eggs over medium with turkey sausage and fries, the food did not please my taste buds especially the turkey sausage. The Shirley temple was nasty bland and tasted like seltzer. The fries were fries and the appetizer sampler was just frozen fried food whatever. The cost and the flavor do not go together. The waitress was sweet and attentive and the place looks clean but I'm not going back.

Diners are an American staple for a casual dinning atmosphere serving American cuisine. To me,…read morediners are nostalgic, retro-style features of chrome stools bolted to the floor, booth tables, the hustle of staff, bus boys handling bus tubs for table clean-up and laminated large spiral book menus. Diners remind me of Edward Hopper's "Nighthawks" 1942 painting which encapsulate the atmospheric setting of an urban diner at night. I enter as usual, as a party of one, and the Maître d' ushered me to sit at a booth. I waited and waited to be service again. The male waiter at first took my order and subsequently later provided water. I needed cold water on a hot summer day for a cool down. This restaurant has its Independence Day holiday decorations lingering which is very simple and minimal. The menu has a Victorian horse carriage image with the driver dressed in black jacket suit coat tail and black top hat. This business name Esquire is relatable with attorneys. I have always worked with attorneys (past and present) and find them intelligent with perspective. The Original Worlds Fair $18.85 Saturday brunch for Belgian waffles and fresh strawberries with whipped cream was delicious. It was fresh, fluffy and delicious at $18.85 + NYC tax = totaling $20.50. I hoped for strawberry syrup the same embedded on ice cream as topping. I am always enamored with strawberries. The male waiter provided pancake syrup and butter for reasonable accommodation request. This male waiter did check-in during my meal which I was astonished and appreciative that I am, at long last, NOT invisible. Oh! I am human. I am a customer. I often dine alone. I exist to matter. I am one life in the smallest measurement. The check bill is distributed the old school way - handwritten on a claim check form perforated at the top. The air conditioner is fully functioning and I sustained a phlegmatic disposition. Facilities is relatively clean.

My gyro platter arrived with tomatoes mixed into the salad, and although the waiter acknowledged the mistake, the solution was not handled properly. Instead of preparing a fresh salad, it appeared the tomatoes were simply removed from the original plate and the lettuce rearranged. I later found tomato seeds still in the salad, confirming cross-contamination. This raised serious concerns about food safety and trust. I hope management addresses this, as allergy precautions should be taken seriously to ensure customer safety. Ambiance was classic American diner.

The sausage tasted stale, the egg portion was quite small, and the pancakes were a bit tough to cut through. The French toast was good and was probably the highlight of the meal. I also ordered the pancakes with Nutella, but they were very bland. Instead of simply drizzling Nutella on top in circles, it would have been much better if the Nutella had been incorporated into the pancakes themselves for more flavor. The service was decent, but I had to repeatedly ask for coffee refills, which was disappointing. Another concern was that the diner does not provide plastic utensils, nor do they offer hot water to sanitize the silverware if requested. The ambiance can also be an issue depending on where you are seated. The restaurant was very loud, and the tables are placed very close together, causing customers to frequently bump into chairs while moving around. Overall, my experience was satisfactory, but there is definitely room for improvement in both the food quality and dining experience.
