    Five Guys-Cheeseburger/lettuce/tomato
    Gary R.

The presentation and the patty is a fail. Many years I have been a fun of this burger joint. But this time and for the second time around in this particular branch, 188th/Fresh Meadows, the burger patties were overcooked and dry. It seems like they want it to make it crispy on the sides. Also, they need to make the presentation particularly the wrapping much much better. For one, they need to maybe, get their precut foil wrapper bigger. The reason, you'll see in the picture. Since the precut is maybe too small, especially so when you have a double patty order, they will flatten the sandwich to make it fit into the wrapper. The finished product then, when you're ready to eat at home, would look like it was sat on by an elephant! See pictures please, and hope that the branch takes their service more seriously

Ordered Hamburger with lettuce, tomatoes and A1 sauce and fries. The other burger had lettuce tomatoes, grilled onions and ketchup. The food was great the employee's nice, sat outside and took extra peanuts to go. Definitely will go back the next time I am in the neighborhood.

I watch them handle my food. I've been to this location at least a dozen times and they are always on point. The cashier is always really friendly no matter who is there. Floors and tables always clean. The staff that's preparing food uses gloves and cover their hair. Everything is very neat. I thank all the staff here for helping me feel I can trust what i eat as i always run in when I'm starving.

One of the better burger joints in NYC, burgers are always good I just wish you can customize the temperature, I've def had over cooked burgers once or twice. Kudos for free toppings! Fries portions are huge, try the cajun fries. Staff is friendly and ordering is pretty quick, took away 1 star because sometimes the wait for your food is ridiculously long.

By the time I remembered to take a picture, the damage had already been done. I've been to Golden K Burgers a few times now, and it has quietly become one of my favorite burger spots. It's a Korean-American burger joint with a cozy diner feel inside. Nothing overly flashy, just great vibes, a comfortable atmosphere, and a staff that always greets you with a warm smile that makes you feel welcome. Over the times I've been here, I've tried the Farmhouse Burger, Big Kahuna Burger, BBQ Chip Burger, and the A1 Burger. Honestly, they've all been excellent. But somehow... I keep coming back to the A1 Burger. Now I know what some of you are thinking. "A1 sauce? Really? There are so many better burger sauces than A1!" I actually agree! A1 has never been my first choice for burgers. But my goodness... whatever magic they're working here just works! The two juicy beef patties, perfectly marinated mushrooms and onions, melted Swiss cheese, tangy A1 sauce, and soft buttery brioche bun come together like a perfectly conducted symphony. Every ingredient has its role, and none of them overpower the others. The mushrooms bring an earthy richness, the onions add sweetness, the Swiss cheese gives it that creamy nuttiness, and then the A1 sauce swoops in with just enough boldness to wake up your palate without stealing the show. Funny enough, every topping on this burger (except the A1 sauce) is exactly what I'd normally choose for any burgers anyway, yet the A1 somehow becomes the finishing touch that ties everything together! Another thing I really appreciated was how well the burger was constructed. It held together beautifully from the first bite to the last without collapsing into a soggy mess. That's an underrated quality that deserves recognition. The fries were also fantastic because they weren't buried under a mountain of salt like so many places do. I actually found myself wondering if they'd fry them a second time upon request because I love my fries extra crispy. I guess I'll have to ask next time! I've also had their 12-piece Buffalo Wings before. I wouldn't say they're the best wings I've ever had, but they're definitely very good. They came out crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, marinated evenly with buffalo sauce (dry) that had just the right balance of buttery richness, tanginess, and heat. They were satisfying without being overly greasy. From the outside, Golden K Burgers probably doesn't scream, "This is one of NYC's best burger joints!" But trust me when I say this: you'll find yourself craving it again very soon. And to me, that's the highest compliment I can give any restaurant. There are plenty of places that impress you once. The truly great ones are the ones that make you want to come back! Give Golden K Burgers a try! Highly recommended!

The space inside is pretty simple and minimalistic -- clean, modern, nothing overly fancy. It feels like the kind of place you pop into when you're craving a good burger without making a whole production out of dinner. They focus on smash burgers, so you get those crispy edges with a juicy center, which is always a win. Everything is 100% halal, which I appreciate, and the menu has a few fun options like the Jalapeño Thrill, Garlic Mushroom smash, and even a Morning Flare burger with a fried egg and beef bacon. There are chicken and veggie options too if that's more your speed. I kept it simple and ordered a burger with fries, and it really hit the spot. Nothing overcomplicated -- just a well-made burger, good flavor, and fresh ingredients. The kind of meal that feels satisfying without being too heavy. Overall, it's a great casual stop in Bayside if you're near the train or just looking for a quick halal burger. Perfect for a laid-back weekday meal.

We walked into a simple, no-frills space with a practical layout designed for quick meals and takeout, the kind of place where the focus stays on the food rather than the surroundings. The dining room had a straightforward, functional energy with a steady flow of customers coming in for a quick bite, and the open kitchen gave us a view of the cooking process that added to the anticipation. The fried chicken is the highlight, featuring a crunchy, well-seasoned coating with juicy meat inside. We ordered a few items and found the spicy crispy chicken burger one of the most popular menu items, served on a soft bun with fresh toppings that balanced the crispy chicken well. The popcorn chicken, chicken tenders, wings, and the oversized Orleans roasted chicken leg were also worth exploring, each arriving hot and freshly made. Sides like mozzarella sticks, fries, grilled BBQ skewers, and corn rounded out the menu, and the house seasoning powders and dipping sauces added extra flavor that made each bite feel customizable. Everything is cooked to order, so there was a short wait, but the food arrived hot and freshly made, and the quality of the frying came through clearly across the different items we tried. Service was friendly, and orders were prepared fairly quickly considering everything was made fresh. Portions were generous for the price, making it a solid value if we were looking for satisfying fried chicken in Flushing. The staff moved through orders with efficiency, and the food came out hot and well assembled. Whether we stopped in for a burger or ordered a family-style spread of chicken and sides, Crispy Burger delivered consistently crispy, flavorful comfort food that felt both satisfying and straightforward.

Standout by far was the uni and foie gras. A little pricey for 4 pieces but very delicious. Big shoutout to the 2 staff on site, very friendly, warm and responsive throughout. I would recommend Tavern 157 if you're in the area looking for something casual with good drinks and food and not in the mood for Korean food. The menu has very detailed, almost elevated descriptions that make everything sound spectacular, but in practice the flavors don't quite come through, especially the sauces, which are barely noticeable. Our server was flexible when we asked to swap the potato chips for fries on the kids' grilled cheese meal, which we appreciated. However, we were then charged $1.40 for a side of ranch for the fries. I understand they have a range of specialty sauces and dips that are clearly priced on the menu, but that still felt steep for ranch. They also offer a combo option to add fries for $5, but the portion doesn't really feel aligned with the price. The steak sandwich itself was surprisingly tender, even though it looked like it might be tough. That said, I couldn't taste the roasted red pepper sauce, and the "sweet onion jam" turned out to just be caramelized onions. My mother actually ended up picking them out because she doesn't eat onions. (she won't eat onions that she can see) The buffalo cauliflower was tasty, but could have been crispier. The "serves two" description also felt a bit generous given the small portion. I also ordered a brisket sandwich to go with fries. The coleslaw sounded great on the menu, but in reality the flavors didn't stand out, no real hint of jalapeño, just a fairly standard slaw. Overall, the food descriptions felt more impressive than the actual execution, though the to-go fries portion was more generous, which was a nice surprise. Would I go back? I'm not sure. Maybe for a casual visit with a few beers and fries with an assortment of dipping sauces...I am a sucker for those.
