This is a no frills simple smashed style burger place. It's small inside with a few metal tables. They only serve fries and burgers (single or double) that come with cheese, special sauce, grilled onions, and a pickle. A lady at the register took our order. There's a fridge where you can pick your own bottled or can drink (soda and water). She was nice and told us it would be 20 minutes. Sure enough in 10 minutes she handed us a bag. I had ordered a single cheeseburger with everything. The bun was soft and fluffy. The meat to bun ratio was ok but the meat was very thin. The sauce added needed flavor to the otherwise bland meat but overpowered any of the cheese flavor. The grilled onions were sweet and the single pickle added some texture. There was only one person at the front working. He was cashing and handing out orders. I placed my order and had to wait almost 35 minutes for my order. There were people who came in after me and got served before me. But I must say that the guy working the front was very attentive and noticed that my food was taking long, went back to find out why and gave me cards for complimentary burgers for my next visit. That's probably why they are expanding so much over the past few years, and I, for one, fully support that. Getting right to it, the burgers are excellent. Reasonably priced compared to their direct competition in the neighborhood, and near perfect in their simplicity. Meat, cheese, grilled onions, pickle slices and their house sauce. The burger (single or double) is smashed and super tasty, everything else on the bun blend harmony into each bite. If you aren't a meat eater, they offer Impossible burgers instead. The fries are portioned generously, fluffy and crisp. You can order them plain or loaded, which is basically a chopped cheese served over an order of fries. Jalapeños are also an option. Drink choices are limited to Coke or Sprite in glass bottles, made in Mexico with actual cane sugar. Yay! This is a great addition to the neighborhood. The service was quick was fast and friendly, and the place was very clean. Keep in mind that they only have a handful of tables, and only half have chairs. Go for the double, a nice smash burger but as others have said definitely a bit over the top greasy. I was looking forward to this opening as I was tired of Shake Shack burgers. It's "okay", but I found the burger to be "greasy". And they also cook the burgers until they're pretty much burnt to a crisp (which Shake Shack does also). Whatever happened to medium burgers? There's no plain burger on the menu - there's only a cheeseburger and if you order it without cheese, it's the same price. There's no traditional seating. There's standing at tables, some of which have high stools. The stools can't be moved so if there's an unused stool at another table, you can't move it to your table. And while all beef is very expensive now, I think $9.50 for two thin patties is overpriced. It's good that they use Martin's potato rolls though. If we could give half stars, I would have rated it 3 1/2. read more
