After missing the procession for the funeral we drove there to attend as well as the graveside services. The best the funeral home could do was a very poor "We are sorry". Some communication and common courtesy when addressing those arriving would have avoided an error that literally can never be rectified.

I first did a review in Feb 2023 when my mom passed. This time I am writing a review after my…read morefather died. I have had 2 very different experiences with Ferrell chambers funeral home. Both of them incredible. I first met Tyler, and lance when my mom died. Back then they had no ideal who I was​. When i called this time around, they knew excatly who i was. That in itself was amazing. I wouldnt consider myself as memorable to most but to some. It was so nice and comfortable to feel like i was talking to family i hadnt seen in years. I dealt with lance first and explain my dad was on comfort care and to be expecting a call from the hospital. He was on it and even remmebered my dad was a vet. Saying he had most of the info he would need from my moms passing. Just bring the dd214 when we come in to meet. That he be there when we needed him. I went into the hospital with the knowledge my dad would be in great hands. After my father passed i called the funeral home and got the answering service who transferred me to tyler. I was very emotionally distraught over my father going to the morgue. It wasnt a place i wanted my dad to be. So i called tyler and asked him if he could please be ready to recieve my dad as he had passed. He was very accommodating to what my need where. I also asked if he could please call me and let me know when he was picked up. This is the part that is so great. I recieve a call within 30 mins of leaving the hospital for them to arrange my father for transfer. (They had to clean him up and remove all the ivs and such). Tyler called me to tell me that he had him and my dad only went thur the morgue. He never stayed in it. Now i know that doesnt happen for everyone and im sorry for that. But if tyler and lance can make it happen they will. They go the extra mile to make the family feel as though they are family. When my sister and i went in the next day everything was waiting for us and we only needed a couple things done before it was all said and done. The cremation was done as quickly as could be since you need a death permit. They played my dads favorite songs while he was being cremated. My father was never alone. That brought me comfort. And if you are ever worried about bring kids to the funeral home dont be. I took my 5 yr old with me to pick up my dad ashes and they made it a happy experience for her. She wasnt creeped out or uncomfortable at all. So she got to be a part of it too since we didnt have a service. We are currently still waiting on the death certificate and some other things but they call and check in once a week. That so nice. I dont have to hound them for information. I know that they will get to me as quick as they can. So if you are looking for a real family friendly funeral home this is the place. Lance and tyler will take care of you. This i promise 100%.
