Caution At first I was impressed with the facility . The receptionist at the desk and the activity directors were so nice. The facility was nicely decorated. My mom was mobile at the time. She was using walker. She didn't always want to come down to eat and would remind her but she didn't go down and left her alone. She ordered meals but that lasted a short time. They were occasionally encouraging her to come to eat. She wanted to dress nicely and put on makeup and she struggled to do this, and didn't want the help, so she ordered food as long as she could. She had always been extremely independent and she was embarrassed to not be really cleaned up and have dinner in sweat pants and sweat shirt. She had severe back and knee pain. She was worried she would not get to the restroom on time. It was a constant problem to find a CNA to help her in a reasonable amount of time to assisted her with her bathroom needs. Caution: The care my mother received the final months of her life were horrible. From the earlier part of October she was in the hospital a lot and ended up on Hospice. She was on Hospice and became bedridden. The food that was brought to her was in a black Styrofoam box or a clear plastic box. It was cold. Occasionally the delivery person didn't set the meal near or didn't leave silverware. The meals did not look appetizing. My mom did not eat many of the meals. She could feed herself. I saw a pile of oatmeal in a black Styrofoam box. It looked like a pile of cold vomit. There was no fruit or anything else. I spoke to CNA staff about this. They would bring her eggs for which she was allergic. The kitchen was told this multiple times but the meals did not change. When she had to go to the bathroom she had to wait a very long time for a CNA to come. I gave her a cell phone to call me when she had waited a long time. I would call the after hours and when nobody would answer I drove to the facility to find a CNA. She had some falls when she tried to get to the restroom on her own. She would be left without water near her all day unless I brought her some. I provided cups with lids and a straw and placed water and other drinks in the refrigeration. She didn't like drinking water in bottles. She didn't want to inconvenience the CNA so she did not ask the CNA to fill the cups. Empty cups were near her and nobody said anything. She couldn't drink from a large tumbler anymore because it would spill, even with a lid. She was in a reclining position I was told they had 15 hospice patients there. My mom was not in the memory care unit. She understood what was going on. I know White Cliffs was constantly short CNA's. I was searching for another facility to move my mom. Hospice told me of another place. The second month in Hospice my mom didn't want to move because she thought she was inconveniencing me. At the beginning of the third month I was able to move her but she didn't make it through the fourth month. The extra cost for the care points did not match the care she received. I always gave White cliffs, owned by Watermark, high marks for the great activities including the shuttle, the nice activity directors and the receptionists, and the food seemed find. As time went on the food was not very good. The food did not meet the dietary needs of my mom and possibly other residents. The main dishes seemed like they were from a frozen box and covered with some kind of sauce and cheese. If you didn't get to the dining room when the meals started being served you might not be able to get what they were offering. If you are allergic to eggs or cheese watch out. Starting at the beginning of February White Cliffs has new owners, Avista. I am certain there are changes and I am hopeful that the changes are good because I don't want anybody to have the heartbreaking experiences I had. read more

Tammy is a disgrace and a liar our deposit turned into a no refundable community fee They let my mother in law go over a week without a bath and only cleaned her her room 1 time in 2 months. They promised many things and done none of them. read more

My dear friend, Joanne Barton, entered the Assisted Living area in September of 2017. While living there, she had a wonderful apt. and the staff who ran that side of the facility were very professional and courteous. They treated her with the upmost respect and caring. Joanne moved to the Memory Care side in 2020. While there she was treated like a member of the family and the caregiver were wonderful with her and took great care of her. Those people who work on that side have the upmost patience with their guests. Kudos to all of them!! My only suggestion is that you pay these caregivers more than they are allotted. They deserve so much more to keep the best help. There has been a great turnover there as I can see. All in all great place to have your family members who need that extra attention. read more

My grandmother moved into White Cliffs Senior Living the first of June 2024. From our initial contact to today, our experience has been wonderful. The staff is professional and caring , and always ready with a smile. Her apartment is spacious and comfortable, and the food is plentiful and delicious. As I walk into the lobby and up to the check-in, there are always residents about, sitting, visiting each other, playing games and having a good time. The CARE GIVING STAFF @ White Cliffs is the best. My mother was at the facility a little over a year and her health declined while there. The staff assured me she would get the care she needed and they came through for us with compassion and kindness. We were there almost every evening of her stay at White Cliffs, the care givers would often ask about our well being also, as they knew the tole it was taken on the family. Special thanks to: Calvin, Kerri, Marjorie, Rae, Alex, Alyssa, Jasmine, and Serena. You have all earned a special place in our hearts. The food at the facility was good, the deserts were GREAT with ice cream available every night. They do have a turn over on the chefs in the kitchen. Front desk staff was always attentive and made sure questions were answered efficiently. Once mom was a resident at White Cliffs, we never saw the office staff again. They never came to check on her stay or see if she needed anything. They do have 2 nurses on staff, both of which never checked on mom even when she cut her hand, when she needed to go to the hospital by ambulance or during her last days of life. We know this is NOT a skilled nursing facility, but there are elderly people at the facility that could use a little nursing assistance at times. This aspect of the facility was disappointing and could use some attention. Another issue that needs attention, was the fact that the main entrance door does not open automatically as designed. Residence in wheelchairs, walkers and canes have trouble opening the heavy door to get in and out of the only entrance to the facility. read more

The entire staff at White Cliffs exhibited compassion, empathy and professionalism throughout the time my aunt lived at White Cliffs. She was treated like a special family member. They went above and beyond especially when she needed extra care and attention. Thank you one and all. read more

I have an elderly grandparent at White Cliffs, he is suffering from dementia and needs full-time care. Sadly one staff member there by the name of Becky has been influential in many of the problems I have seen there. There has been a large turnover in staff at this facility which I imagine is somewhat common as the work is very demanding. However, with the last several caretakers, I have seen leave, the sole purpose behind their departure was not being able to work with Becky. Unfortunately, Becky's wrath has now directly impacted my family. My grandfather is being removed from White Cliff Senior Living because according to Becky he touched another recipient while left alone. Obviously touching is inappropriate, however, in a facility of this nature, it is the caretaker's responsibility to ensure the recipients are not left alone. The individuals suffering from dementia do not have the wherewithal, hence the need for full-time care. My grandfather is the most respectful person I have ever met and this behavior is very out of character. I am deeply saddened that Becky did not do her job in protecting my grandfather and the other recipient involved. I am at a loss for words that this has resulted in consequences on my grandfather, a customer, and not Becky the employee responsible for the safety and well-being of everyone in her care. read more
