But while there it was a safe haven, I met some great guys who by the way I am still friends with. It was a partial independent living situation, just enough to get your head right. My whole thing is whatever you're looking for you find it. If you want to grow you grow and if you want to stay stagnated then you stay stagnated. I learned a lot about myself and being social. I gained a lot from the experience.

I absolutely would not recommend this recovery House. It is a beautiful home, the one in Clifton…read moreHeights and at first it seemed like everything was okay. But after you are there for a while they start to find reasons to get rid of you. We are all supposed to be supportive and just not drink today. I am bitter because I got kicked out yesterday and I was not even high or drunk. I made a mistake mind you my second mistake there and they just kick you to the curb. I understand if I was high or drunk. But to just boot me especially when I'm not using rubbed me the wrong way and this isn't the first time it's happened in the four months I've been there it happened the day before yesterday too another girl who was not getting high or drunk but got booted because she had too many meds on her at one time, and basically the same thing happened to me. So we made a mistake write us up make us do something but to just kick people out on the street that aren't even highe or drunk and now they could possibly be high or drunk because you don't give not even a chance I really like the owners but they really need to restructure how they do things because he can people out that aren't even using and you're supposed to be a recovery House helping people, that's doing more harm than good everybody makes mistakes none of us are perfect and you make us feel like we have to be 100% perfect or we can't live there. I'm hoping I just gave you another perspective because yes I had some extra medication in my room but does that really warrant a discharge? No second chance? No first chance really. I work a strong strong program,I go to five or six meetings a week I pick up commitments every other day,I drive girls to meetings if they ask me. I have a sponsor and I use her, I'm in service. Yet I lost my place to live and I didn't even get high or drunk. And I'm not just venting, I was written up maybe once before, yet another girl who pretty much did the same thing and was put on a contract, they just skipped that and went directly to discharge. I really tried to set a good example. And we make mistakes as humans and as addicts. Give us a damn chance instead of just kicking us to the curb made to feel like we can't do anything right in life and feeling like life isn't worth it. Just sayin

Unfortunately, from the moment I arrived, things went downhill. Upon arrival, I was told to remove phone numbers from my phone before it was locked away. My luggage was taken, and I was told I wouldn't receive my clothes for 24-48 hours. I asked if I could at least have one outfit, and a security guard told me yes after checking my belongings. When I arrived on the unit, the tech who greeted me offered no orientation at all--no explanation of where I was, what the rules were, or what I was supposed to do. I had to rely entirely on other patients for basic information. Later, when I asked the tech to check with the security guard about my clothes, it seemed like there had been a shift change, because another guard denied any knowledge of that conversation. The tech told me she would get me one outfit, but throughout the day she kept giving me different excuses, clearly just trying to get me out of her face. Before her shift ended, she told me she'd get my clothes at 8 a.m. the next day. That didn't happen. I went over 48 hours without showering. When I continued to ask for my belongings, she told me there were people who had "been waiting way longer than me" and had a clear attitude. I finally snapped and was ready to leave until two counselors stepped in, convinced me to stay, and immediately got my clothes. Once that happened, my mood and outlook improved significantly. Sleeping here was awful. The nurses wake you up every four hours to take vitals, which is incredibly disruptive when you're detoxing. I barely slept at all. Phone access was another huge issue. The website is misleading--it does not clearly explain that phone calls can only be made in front of counselors, and at the time there was only one counselor available. That counselor was constantly busy, making it extremely difficult to call my family and let them know I was okay. I briefly saw a doctor who prescribed my antidepressant medication. However, I was told I had to wait for the pharmacy to deliver it--and it never came during the entire four days I was there. As a result, I suffered from night terrors, hallucinations, and extreme irritability, all of which could have been avoided. Many of the nurses were rude and dismissive. One serious incident involved a new roommate who began stealing my belongings. When I raised concern, a nurse mocked me by saying, "You're getting mad over a sandwich?"--completely missing the point that I had my wallet and valuables in the room. Another nurse (a heavy-set Black male nurse) told us he wasn't moving anyone and that if we fought, we'd both be kicked out. Instead of de-escalating, he and another nurse were provoking and unprofessional. I requested a supervisor. Thankfully, the director and her assistant handled the situation professionally, de-escalated it, and treated me with respect. Another major issue: this facility does not allow you to only detox. They push for a full rehab stay, and this was not clearly communicated upfront. I specifically came for detox only. Group therapy was also poorly managed. Detox groups were constantly interrupted by staff and rehab patients walking in mid-session--even while people were venting. It was disrespectful, disruptive, and made it hard to feel safe opening up. Overall, the facility felt severely understaffed, and asking for help often made me feel like a burden rather than a patient in need of care. The Positives The one standout counselor was Mr. James--an older, wise, kind man who was approachable and genuinely supportive. He made a difference. The food was also very good. I genuinely enjoyed every meal--breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Final Thoughts This place has potential, but serious changes need to be made in staff professionalism, communication, patient safety, and honesty about services offered. If you're considering coming here, know exactly what you're signing up for, ask direct questions, and advocate for yourself aggressively--or bring someone who can.

But call them when your loved one is in crisis? Crickets. No callback, no urgency, no one who gives a damn. They don't earn good ratings--they manage them. The 4 stars aren't from great care, they're from pressuring people to take down honest reviews. That rating is curated, not earned. Our family trusted Provive during a mental health emergency and they completely abandoned us. No meaningful follow-up, no real support when things got worse. But their billing? Flawless. Their reputation cleanup crew? On speed dial. This place puts more energy into protecting their online image than actually helping patients. They'll ignore you when you're desperate, then suddenly find your number the moment you speak up about it. If they're calling you right now to "discuss" this review--that tells you everything you need to know. Find a provider who answers when it matters, not just when their ratings are at stake.

They treated me like a person, not just a patient, which made a huge difference in my comfort level. The medical team was especially outstanding throughout detox and stabilization. They consistently checked in on me, carefully monitored my symptoms, and explained each step of the process so I knew what to expect. Their calm, professional approach helped ease my anxiety and made what could have been a frightening experience feel safe, structured, and manageable. I always felt like my well-being was their top priority. The therapeutic aspect of the program was equally impactful. The group sessions were thoughtfully facilitated and created a supportive space where everyone felt heard and understood. Hearing others share their experiences helped me gain perspective and realize I wasn't alone in my struggles. Individual therapy sessions gave me the opportunity to dig deeper into the root causes of my substance use and begin developing healthier coping strategies. Beyond the clinical care, the sense of community was incredibly meaningful. The connections I built with other clients were authentic and encouraging. We supported one another, held each other accountable, and celebrated progress together. That shared experience fostered confidence and reminded me that recovery is possible. I left the program not only physically stabilized, but mentally stronger and emotionally more grounded. I gained practical tools, healthier coping mechanisms, and a clearer understanding of myself and my recovery journey. Most importantly, I left with a renewed sense of hope and a stronger foundation to continue building a life in recovery.

Her approach to therapy is just what an INFJ like me has been looking for for years. She's been helping me do the hard inner work that I've needed to do, and wanted to do, but not had someone really equipped to be able to help me until I found Body Talks Therapy. She has helped me to uncover important inner truths that I have needed to stand on, and false narratives that I need to acknowledge and reject. Meeting with her has been a deeply healing and transformative experience in the couple months that she has been doing therapy with me. As a highly sensitive person, I feel like she really gets where I'm coming from, and sees a higher realm of perspective that I've learned a lot about myself from. Also, she does appointments either in office, or via video chat, which works great for me because I'm over an hour from her office. I went to her office once, which was a lovely setting, but have done subsequent appointments via video chat ever since simply due to convenience (if it wasn't for that, I'd have to do sessions with her much less frequently). She doesn't take insurance, but I've been able to get reimbursed for my sessions from our HSA, so that's helpful. Highly recommend!

Allison is super awesome in every way. She is the best therapist I've ever had. She's terrific!read more
