I cannot say enough about Sam the White Eagle Locksmith. We just moved into a new home that seriously had the worst locks ever. I'm pretty sure I could have popped those things open with a credit card and a bobby pin after watching a few James Bond movies. I wanted some new decent locks on the place because I was pretty sure we would get robbed if we left those things on. I called Sam and he answered immediately and gave me the low down on the range of locks from medium security to high security and everything in between. He then came out to the house and I dragged him around the house and started pointing out every door and gate that I felt was a weak entry point into the home and he had a solution for everything - a coded gate in the front, keyed locks for the sliding door, new locks on the garage, the front door, back door, everything I could name he had an answer. Sam was super patient with me and showed me all of my options. He didn't try to upsell me on anything and didn't even roll his eyes when I asked stupid questions. Sam then returned on time the next day with the 6 locks we ordered and started installing things. He was having problems with our front door because it is apparently 200 years old so he had to leave and go to the hardware store and come back, but did it all with a smile. And then, after all of that, one of the locks from the manufacturer was defective, so he had to leave and come back yet again. He was back two days later, again on time. He even called ahead to make sure we knew he was coming. He worked on the locks, showed us how to work everything, how to set up codes on the gates, how to make sure we don't lock ourselves out (because I do that, though I have him on speed dial so maybe he could get me into the house). Sam also kindly took a look at the doors we have inside the house because we were having some trouble changing the knobs. It seems these doors were built in like 1653 or something because the normal doorknobs you buy at Home Depot didn't even fit in them. So Sam came back yet a 4th day and drilled new holes in our bedroom doors and replaced those knobs as well for a very reasonable fee. Every time I called or texted Sam he answered within seconds. He is not only reliable but very friendly and personable. I honestly couldn't give a higher recommendation. We have been working with many people since we bought this home (painters, handymen, electricians, etc.) and he has been by far the most competent and most pleasant person to work with. His rates are totally reasonable and he came to our house literally 4 times, each time doing great work and very professional. read more
