Both Dr. Tyler and his wife are very professional and are thorough in their evaluation of your teeth and gums. After your exam is done whichever Doctor you have for that appointment, will spend about ten minutes just to come in and talk to you as a friend. They have the most up to date equipment and they take away the fear of going to the dentist.

I tried to get orthodontic work done here and wore my aligners religiously for at least 9 months. I…read moream now about to end treatment early. Nothing has visibly shifted in my mouth except one tooth that was upright when treatment started and now it's leaning over at a 45° angle, making it even harder to chew on that side than before. When I had my initial consultation, they told me clear aligners could most likely fix the same problems that braces could fix for the same amount of money. Unfortunately, I had to sign a contract that said I would be locked into monthly payments until the full treatment amount was paid in full, regardless of whether I came in for appointments or ended up finishing the treatment. Pretty awful contract but I didn't think I had a choice, and I figured since I lived through braces as a kid I'd be fine. They told me they could get "some movement" of teeth in the first six months. Two appointments later, when I came in for what I believed was my first basic check-up, they sat me down and started talking about the "attachments" I was going to get today, as if I already knew what those were. I asked what they were talking about and they revealed that they were about to glue some tiny bumps to my teeth. I had never heard of this, in my consultation, or when I had scheduled that appointment. I was blindsided. I have strong tactile sensitivities and I had chosen Invisalign instead of braces partly because they were smooth and would be less uncomfortable against my skin. They didn't seem to notice that I was distressed or confirm with me that it was OK for them to do this today, and I didn't feel allowed to say no. (I mean, who DOES feel allowed to say no to a medical service provider?) So the half hour that had been blocked off in my schedule turned into an hour and a half during which they glued rough lumps of what felt like concrete onto a third of my teeth. The smell of the glue was so bad it felt hard to breathe at some moments. I mentioned several times during that appointment and the next that I had had no idea they were going to do this, and everyone I spoke to seemed unconcerned, as if me giving informed consent about something being glued into my mouth didn't matter. Over the next month or so I tried to get used to the lumps of hell-texture. They made my so-called Invisalign clearly visible when they were in, and when they were out I would notice the itchy, grating feeling against my gums almost constantly. Ask the people around me: I was noticeably irritable more often than normal. When I finally worked up the courage to go back and tell them I couldn't stand the feeling of the lumps, they did take them off at that appointment--after trying to talk me into only getting some of them removed, and me having to say "no I really think I need them all gone." The dentist told me it was very unusual, but not unheard-of, for someone to find them so uncomfortable, and he really didn't know if my treatment would end up working or not without them. In the following months a series of personal crises/stressors prevented me from having the energy and emotional bandwidth to make any more appointments with them. I just resigned myself to the fact that they were sucking over $100 out of my bank account every month for no good reason, because the contract I had read at the beginning had been worded as if ironclad. Finally, I had the energy to contact the office and said I needed out. They said, "oh, if you had told us months ago that you were going through stuff, we could've put your treatment and payments on pause!" This had never been communicated to me anywhere, so I don't know how I was supposed to know this was an option! Why would I think to tell my orthodontist about my personal problems, or assume that a contract didn't mean what it said? Then they said, "but since it's already been so many months since you were in the office, we probably can't do that NOW." The lady (who did seem genuinely caring and nice) then talked me out of definitively saying that I needed to end my treatment, and left me with such unclarity about what my options actually were that I felt overwhelmed and didn't feel confident contacting them again for several months. Between that conversation and the surprise-horrible-texture-attachments, I have felt baited and switched by them multiple times and no longer trust them. I just hope I'm able to get through the final appointment, which they're insisting that I have in order to stop charging me, without having a panic attack or some other awful miscommunication.

Typically in most dental offices, we don't spend a lot of time with the dentist unless we have issues. This is true here. But if you have a dental emergency, Dr. Cawley is the person to call. I can't say enough about how he spent time after hours to take care of me.

If I could I'd have the braces taken off and complete treatment elsewhere but we've suffered through and are close to end of treatment. If I could pick my number 1 compliant it would be that the orthodontist isn't always there. They travel to other offices so good luck with scheduling or seeing a Dr if you need one in an emergency. #2 I have not witnessed a more poorly run office in my life. And I work in healthcare and deal with many many offices. This place never ceases to amaze me. Not a good way to run a orthodontist business at all! I'm not a "complaining few" I rarely write reviews let alone complaints.....but this place needs a warning sign. Check their BBB review too before you decide to use them.

I was told if I missed an appointment, they would charge $75, Today they tried to charge me $150 but when I told her that is not what they told me she charged me $75. Why do I have to haggle? I left some special toothpaste on the counter by accident. No one ever called me to tell me I left it there. Total Joke! They quoted me $1200 for 2 crowns. Talked to a new dentist today, she saw my xrays and doesn't think I need a crown at all! The receptionist speaks barely English. Avoid this place at all costs. There are like 40 booths and you are just a number. Horrible!
