WARNING!!! Do not get your wheelchair or lowered vehicle washed at the highway 41 location! For some reason, they have an elevated rail that will damage your vehicle as it did mine. Dang! As an Elite Yelper, I made a bad move when I drove to what I thought was going to be Liquid Highway car wash this morning and not reading any reviews. I haven't lived in the state in a long time, but having previously been in the area, I was used to the old ownership where the place was good, quick, efficient, trustworthy, and everything else. Today I drove up and was very surprised that not one singular person was in line. (So different from the tons of cars that used to be there previously.) I saw that it was under new ownership. I asked for an interior detail, the cheapest one, and was quoted $36. I paid that price which I was fine with, to be totally honest, assuming that the quality would be great. I've just returned to my vehicle. There still remains areas that need vacuuming, the backseat wasn't even touched, I don't think. My car does look better than before, but that wasn't hard to do. I think I'm disappointed because I could have done the same exact job myself. I chose to come to a car wash to have the professionals do something better than what I could have done. It seems like their work was just as good ... or actually, worse. Waiting for my car to be ready, another patron came to the shop and said that they had their car washed earlier this morning and were returning because they noticed one of their mats was missing. This is slightly alarming considering another review on here I just read about something similar happening. While I was waiting for my car to be ready, I texted a local friend and told them what I was up to. They told me going there was "a bad move" and it's now "terrible" even though it "used to be great." As I was leaving the facility, there was a car driving by with some probably middle school aged kids in the back yelling and pointing "This car wash sucks!!" While I won't put my faith fully in their shenanigans, I felt that it was worthy to comment as it appears to be "'more evidence." Why do you do that? To be positive, I will say that my service was quick. The people I interacted with, though they didn't talk with me much, they were pleasant and just fine. The exterior of the car looks good. Clean, shiny, no scratches. The vehicle was wiped down by hand to dry. Happy with exterior service! The problem for me today is the car wasn't cleaned appropriately, especially for that amount of money. For example, there is probably 1/8 cup of sand on my passenger seat (from my dog/beach - one of the reasons I went there today), and the same pile is still sitting there... never vacuumed or removed whatsoever. The attention to detail seems to be lacking severely. They don't seem concerned with the quality of their service. Overall, my experience today, combined with other reviews that I heard from both people I know and don't know today, as well as what else I have read on here, makes it apparent I will not return. read more

The exterior of my car looked fantastic after the wash--shiny, spotless, and really well-detailed. They clearly took their time to make sure the outside was flawless, and it showed. The interior cleaning was good, though not quite up to the same standard as the exterior. The dashboard was cleaned moderately well, but there were a few spots that could have used a bit more attention. That said, I have small kids, so the vacuuming job on the interior was no small task. They did a solid job considering the state of the floorboards when I brought the car in. It was definitely a tough job, and they handled it pretty well. The only minor complaint I had was the initial wait time. It took a little longer than I expected when I first pulled up, as about 8-10 minutes elapsed with no cars ahead of me before I was met by an attendant. However, given the quality of the exterior cleaning and the effort they put into the interior, it was worth the wait. Bottom line: they did a very good job, and would definitely return. read more

Hey they do a solid job here at this location. My only stick is the price $44.95 for a Toyota Corolla is too much guys go a small car. Brought my rig in for a detailing, which hadn't been done in a while. Shannon and her crew were great about taking me in, and explaining the process to me, even addressed some concerns I had about my vehicle as its getting older and has a few 'quirks'. I cannot begin to express how happy I am with the job that Samir did on the interior of the car. There were places that just had worn on dirt from years of light cleaning, but never anything this deep. The inside looks brand new! Save your money and go elsewhere. Liquid Highway used to be the go-to place in Mount Pleasant for a car wash. Been going there for years and it always was a fair deal for a good interior and exterior cleaning. Apparently, it's under new ownership and is now a disaster. I brought my pollen-covered car there, and the guy up front looked at the inside and outside and quoted a thorough, clean price (not a detail) of $75. I thought this was fair as the car was really dirty inside and needed the towel treatment on the interior. When I got the car, the roof was entirely covered in loose pollen still. Entirely. A wet finger took it right off. I commented to the guy handing off the car, and he went into a long and involved story about the cost of labor and how much time they spent on my car. The inside was fine. Fair deal for the price. The exterior hadn't been touched on the roof. He finally agreed to run it through again after I made him step up and look a the roof, demonstrating how the pollen came right off with my finger. I pull around and tell the guy who makes up quotes on the fly (no service menus anymore), and he does some extra magic pre-spray. All good so far, barring the fact they had the gall to deliver a filthy car and call it "done." I pull up to the pressure wash guy at the front of the machine entrance, and before I say a word, he starts giving me a ration of crap. Direct quotes here: "I can't reach the roof of your SUV so I'm not pressure washing that." "What do you expect? There's no way we're hand washing this car." ( didn't ask for that) "If the machine doesn't get it, that's too bad. It is what it is." Unbelievable. I drive a standard (no lift) Toyota Sequoia with a roof the same height as 10 million other cars on the road. They knew this when they quoted the $75 price. Oh, and the car has running boards to step on on three sides. Long story over. The car comes out, and about half of the loose stuff comes off. The photos I'm attaching here are after TWO washes at this place. So, from the car wash, I immediately went to... the car wash - one of those self-serve pressure wash places. It turns out the high-pressure soap was broken, so I rinsed the roof with water only. Guess what? 95% of the loose pollen came right off. This pathetic excuse for a car wash couldn't manage it with two "professional" washes, and I got a free chewing out by some employee as a bonus. Needless to say, after 10 or 15 years, we're done. The hood had black spots still when they brought car to finish area (white vehicle so it would have been obvious while cleaning). Loose black dog hair still on back seat. Sand on floor in back seat. I took 2 different cars to this carwash today, mine and my daughter's. The Hungry Neck location in Mount Pleasant, SC, is my favorite car wash. I'm not always in town but, when I am, I always get my car washed and cleaned here because they are thorough and do a great job! If you are lucky, as I was today, Bryan will greet you. He's always got a smile and is helpful when you ask him for assistance in determining what you need, as I did today. While you wait inside, there are fish in a tank that capture the attention of little ones. They also have a big-screen TV. The one downside, for me today, was that there was a show playing on the TV that had a lot of violence and bloodshed. I was happy I my 7-year-old granddaughter hadn't accompanied me this time. I don't know if the workers realized what was playing so I didn't grade the car wash for that. read more

They do a half ass job almost everytime I come. I went in the morning and it was just me and another car so u would think they would take the time to clean. Opened my trunk when I got home and there was still sand everywhere and not all of the cupholders got cleaned. I was there for 2 hours as they didn't do the back seat of trunk so I had to get back in line. I noticed my back car mat was missing. I told Sandy and she went back and watched the camera and said yes they removed a car mat but now they can't find. I was reassured they would order one for me. I drove in unplanned, not realizing Liquid Highway was gone and the property under new ownership as White Horse. I asked for the cheapest inside/outside wash and was quoted $36, a HUGE jump from what I was expecting. Clearly, no more Liquid Highway. The guy saw me looking around for the 'turnaround' to leave and offered me a $5 discount. I accepted and received my service for $31...and I use both 'received' and 'service' loosely. My experience was awful. From spraying only one side of my vehicle before going through the wash to not wiping down the dash (the dash, guys??? c'mon!), to placing my washed but wet and pooling floor mats back into my car, from A to Z, the new ownership was an epoch fail. I did approach two guys on the red-shirt team (this is how they answered me when I was actually asking them for their names) and I pointed out the still dripping floor mats. I was told that they did not have a shop vac that could suck out the water or shampoo. Funny, but my mats are all-rubber WeatherTech, so these two didn't even turn around and look to see what I was asking them to address; they just fed me a line. read more

What an awful experience I am a regular customer of the location off of Highway 17 and came to this one due to the other one being closed, when they brought my car to me the floor mats were not taken out there were fruit snacks all over the floor, dirt and soda all over my floor mats and filled in my cupholders, it looked like nothing was wiped down or even vacuumed... When i brought to the managers attention he was very rude and said he needs more time and he'll work on it. Keep in mind. I have a 20 month old little girl with me. That's already sat for an hour so I could not sit for him to continue working on my car, that should've been done right the first time so when I mentioned that he immediately responded with the same thing. Be very careful with this company, they pretend they are only charging you for 1 month of unlimited car washes and the get your signature but continue to bill you every month. When you reach out to them they say we have your signature and we don't refund your money! Fraud fraud fraud. I had my bank to block them! The Mgr/GM, Shannon, wanted to take a look at my vehicle to assess what would need to be done. Shannon was friendly, professional, extremely knowledgeable, and very funny. She took the time to explain each step of the detailing process, and how much it would cost. The price was very competitive with other local companies I had previously rec'd quotes from but her focus on customer service made the decision very easy. The team did an awesome job on the exterior and went above and beyond to also clean up the interior.
