I have a toxic relationship with this car wash. The wash itself is one of the best in the area, imo. They also have powerfull vaccums and air guns, but everything else seems to fall short. Most places have glass cleaner and and interior cleaner, but this Time to Shine only has glass cleaner. Also, they have about 20 spots, but there's only like 5 lights. So if you go in the evening, it's almost impossible to see what you're doing, even if you're lucky enough to park under one of the lights. Lastly, they close at 8:00 and I've been there numerous times when they ran out of towels between 7:15 and 7:30 and they did not put out anymore towels. There was even one time I went at 5:30 and there were no towels. Totally unacceptable, especially for the price they charge. read more

My car fell off the track without touching the steering wheel, fortunately was able to keep it under control. Although, similar incident happened to a family member and unfortunately caused a three car fender bender. Management told my family member that according to the video my family member was fault. Management never provided proof of the video and when another party filed an insurance claim, management stated the video has since been deleted. Would avoid this car wash at all cost. read more

Sometimes my wheels need extra attention to get clean. They have 2 hand hold sprayers at the entrance to the wash area but the employees tell me they don't spray the wheels with them. Then tell me, why do you have 2 sprayers at the entry? read more

Great wash! Always open spots for vacuums and they have windex available if needed. They also have deals every few months on subscriptions

$12 WASH W do it yourself interior cleaning. Worth it! Good vacs.....rags....matt machine.

I signed up 2 cars for the monthly car wash of $24.99 each. My card is getting charged $34.99 per car. I called the number listed & nobody picked up. This is a BS tactic. After calling & getting no answer at all, I'm cancelling both subscriptions. I see all of the negative reviews for this business. All they want is your money. read more

Visited this location when my family and I evacuated Asheville during the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. Enjoyed a wash. Seemed good. SINCE THEN I HAVE BEEN CHARGED EVERY MONTH FOR SOMETHING I DID NOT SIGN UP FOR. NO CONTACT FROM THIS BUSINESS. 20+ UNRETURNED VOICEMAILS. FOUR MONTHS OF CHARGES I CANNOT AFFORD, and can't possibly use, due to the fact I LIVE IN NC. It seems leaving a review is the only way to get attention from this irresponsible, reprehensible business. I've contacted the BBB of Charleston for help as it seems no help will be coming from Time To Shine. In short: Do not go here. read more

It's my favorite car wash! It was the first place I went to when I moved here, and I keep returning.

Time to shine what? They are never open during business hours. Today will be my third time going during hours and not open again. I have a membership that I am paying for each month that I should get extra perks such as sending a mass text to members telling them the 411 about not being open during business hours so we don't waste our time as we as members waste our time and money. read more

I have never felt the need to write a review for a business until today. I can confidently say that my experience at the Time to Shine Car Wash in Mount Pleasant was an absolute nightmare and most unprofessional experience I have ever encountered from a business. Not only did their equipment cause over $1500 of damage to my car, but the way they handled the situation afterward was utterly appalling. McDaniels Audi of Charleston offered me a coupon for a free car wash from Time to Shine after a service appointment, which I happily accepted. I was excited to get my car cleaned after having over $5000 worth of servicing and repairs done to my Audi. After going through the carwash and looking at my car, I realized something was not right. The equipment has ripped off my shark fin antenna cover and part of the computer chip it covered (just what you want to see after paying for servicing and repairs). I informed the two kids working the car wash, and they gave me a claim form to fill out. After not hearing anything for about a week, I tried to call multiple times and no one picked up. I went back to the car wash to speak with the manager in person, who just so happened to "not be available." I got the email and phone number for the manager, Ray Palmer, and contacted him regarding the situation. He seemed initially apologetic and promised to rectify the situation. He assured me that they would cover the cost of the repairs, and I thought my ordeal was coming to an end. I sent in the two quotes and received a heartless response from the same manager who had promised to make things right. He now claimed that he no longer works there and had no intention of actually repairing the damage to my car. This shocking reversal of their earlier commitment left me feeling utterly frustrated. It's one thing for a business to make mistakes, but it's an entirely different matter when they refuse to take responsibility for those mistakes. The Time to Shine Car Wash in Mount Pleasant not only failed to provide a basic service but also displayed a complete lack of integrity and accountability in handling the aftermath. Their empty promises and unprofessional behavior have cost me not only time, money, and stress but also my faith in their business. I implore anyone reading this review to steer clear of at all costs. This establishment lacks the fundamental principles of customer service, and their negligence caused me significant financial and emotional distress. Save yourself the trouble and find a car wash that values its customers and their vehicles. read more

My last visit was my last & will do everything to let the community know how terrible this buisness is. Their car wash ripped off my cab lights on the top of my truck. I reported this to management and filled out a "claim" form which I now know is a bunch of bullshit. I was told I'd get a call in a few days- never happened. I carefully read the claim form & this damage should have been covered- nothing in that form places blame on me- all I did was put my truck and neutral and trusted THEIR equipment. It took me 4 days to even have a person answer their phone. Then king story short was put on the run around for another week. I got countless excuses why the district manager couldn't take my call or call me back. This is a multi million dollar company, the car part I asked to have replaced costs 122 dollars. If that doesn't show where this companies heart is idk what does! It's all about money and the customer comes last. If you cherish your vehicle as well as your hard earned money do not go to this establishment. This company steals, lies and manipulates its customers. Time to shine I'm directing this at you now, I'm going to do everything in my power to get this out, if you would like to do the right thing and replace the part YOU broke then I'll remove this and the many many more posts to come. read more

I have never posted a review before but this place is the absolute worst. Time to Shine should not be in the lowcountry as the carwash is a hazard and the owner does not care. I took my truck to the carwash and had the antenna broken off and the side scratched. I showed the damage to the staff on duty and they apologized and said that I needed to call their manager. When I called, he asked how I got his number, said he would look at the CCTV recording, and then hung up. I never heard back from anyone and had to pay for damage out of pocket. My next step is BBB and Mt Pleasant Chamber of Commerce. Avoid this place. Service and professionalism not worthy of the lowcountry. read more

I have never written a review before, but I am kicking myself for not asking for my money back. I got the $12 basic car wash because my car was a little dirty. Not caked with mud, just a bit dirty. I went through the wash and went to go use the complimentary vacuums. When I stepped out of my car, I saw that it looked like only the front half had been cleaned (not cleaned well, but you could see that slightly better than the rest of the car). The back half was not touched at all. On the roof, you could literally see where the spinning brush had stopped touching the car. And the man in the car next to me had the exact same problem. He tried to clean it off by hand using the window-cleaner spray they provide. Maybe there is a problem with the equipment or the sensors, but I immediately drove to a "do-it-yourself" car wash to fix their bad work. I will never be going back to this car wash. read more
