I stumbled upon this sub shop while in Atlantic City. I walked in just minutes before they closed and they were cool about it, really accommodating since it was my first time. I ordered two subs and was debating between the regular and the large. Thank God I didn't get the large because the portion sizes were huge. I went with the Philly chicken and everything was full of flavor. The place has a laid-back bar-style vibe (minus the alcohol) but mainly focuses on takeout. The staff was friendly and had a great sense of humor. Easily a 10 out of 10. If you are on the fence, you will not be disappointed.
Friendly staff and very easy to order. This would be a 5 star but I have a few things that stopped that. 1, I asked for extra mayo and when I got my sub I could still see bread, so I had to add more, next, if you like mustard you have to add it yourself, 3, the bread is hard, which makes you chew a lot more and 4, not sure why a sub place doesn't feature any chips, I ended up having to get chips elsewhere . I got a whole sub which is two 8-10 inch subs (I didn't know). I had one for lunch and one for dinner. Very flavorful turkey subs! I had mayo, onion, oregano, oil and vinegar and added mustard and more mayo myself. When I'm back in AC, I will be back!
Sub was very good. Substantial sized sub for a half sub. This location is inside the Hard Rock Casino Resort and lacks the local feel of the original location. The biggest negative on somewhat busy Saturday night was the cashier with an attitude problem. She was rude and acted totally annoyed when asked what comes on the sub. Guess it's hard to find good help and they have to keep a rude employee as the point of contact. They have the nerve to have a tip jar, which looked empty. No surprise.

White house stays true to their origin and Personally I think that is why it is so good! brings back so many memories and is truly so delicious. the fresh bread makes the sub - of course along with the fresh ingredients. yum yum yum!!
Ordered White House Special sub via Goldbelly. Arrived fresh with cold cuts, provolone, and lettuce inside bread, oil and hot peppers in jars. I'd call this more of a torpedo than a sub or hero because the bread is so narrow, nonetheless delicious. The meat to bread ratio is off the charts. The quality of the cold cuts is insane and puts Boar's Head to shame. Delicious.
Portions were generous--plenty big enough to share. Although labeled as a 'half sub,' they were nearly a foot long and served piping hot. The menu felt a bit more complicated than necessary, and common add-ons like tomato, lettuce, and mayo weren't clearly listed (possibly along with other toppings). Seating was very limited, and the subs aren't the easiest to eat on the go.
Not our first time here and we have been to both the original shop and this one located in Hard Rock. On this occasion we did not eat ourselves but got a White House Special with everything and asked them to wrap it so that we could take it home to our brother. We picked it up on Tuesday evening and put it in the hotel room fridge. Then we drove it home in a cooler bag on Wednesday and then to our brother on Thursday. And he noted that it was "just delicious". While the hot peppers did soften the top of the roll slightly (which is expected,) the rest of the roll was perfect. The veggies were still crisp and the meats/cheese were fantastic. We look forward to a sub each time we head to AC but now, we will not hesitate to also get one to go! Very well run location and the person taking the orders was friendly and helpful!
What's not to like about this spot located in Hard Rock casino. Food was filling, and came out quick! Not really many places to sit down and eat but if you walk over to the pizza shop they won't bother you. Fun fact, you can use your casino unity points to order the food which will get you a discount or fully comped! The cashier was also super nice and knowledgeable!
I was introduced to the White House Sub Shop by the Cosby Show waaaay back in the day and since then every time I'm in AC and need a cheesesteak fix this is my go to stop! This particular location is in the Hard Rock Casino and you get the same quality of everything as you would in the original location (which includes the "MEH" attitudes from the employees and the pressure to know what the heck you want and how to order it when it's you're turn lol ... but that's just a part of the experience) with the exception of the ambiance in this one having a bit more frills because it's in a casino whereas the original in a piece of Atlantic City history and is an experience all in itself when you visit. Their cheesesteaks can honestly give 85% of Philadelphia cheesesteaks a run for their money and a 1/2 cheesesteak is enough to feed two people! I got this bad boy with American cheese, fried onions, lettuce, hot peppers and mayo and needed a nap afterwards. They're also known for their Italian Subs and Cheeseburger Subs but you truly can't go wrong with any sub you order.

Conveniently located inside the hotel great solid sub. Huge serving and you get a long of bang for your buck. Especially if you are in your last buck from gambling. Lol Definitely a go to when in the area. read more
Really good and fresh sandwich. Got the famous Italian all the way with mayo. Lots of meat and fresh bread. Had to have the chili relish. So good!! Service was quick and friendly. Just a little spot you pass to and from the parking garage so ambience is watching folks walk by. read more
White House Subs is a well known sandwich shop that's been around since 1946. This location can be found inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. I was looking for a quick lunch and stumbled across this place while strolling through Hard Rock. I've had the cheesesteak at their other location before, but never tried the famous Italian, so that's what I went with this time! The sub is packed with Genoa salami, imported ham, capicola, provolone cheese, LTO, and oil + vinegar. The bread was fresh, and all the ingredients worked well together to create a delicious, balanced flavor. The staff was fast and efficient, and my sub was prepared perfectly. You can't go wrong here. This place is legendary for a reason. The meat and the rolls are so fresh. We went with an Italian sub today, but the chicken parm, chicken cutlet, and cheesesteaks are also wonderful options! read more

I had the Italian Sub! The "Half" sub is really a full sized sub. So good and filling. Order was ready in like 2 minutes. I got everything, including hots $10.50+ Expect LONG wait lines around lunch time So tasty, wish there was one of these near me!! read more

From the moment that we walked in, we felt like we were part of the family, everybody that was in there seemed to be friends or regular customers... And our food was ready within just a few minutes, and it was worth it... Giant portions and the best hoagie for breakfast I've had in a long time! Really enjoyed and will be back every time we go to Atlantic City. read more

This was the blandest cheesesteak I have ever had in my life. This tasted like absolutely nothing. I felt like I had Covid. I spent half of my time trying to season this submarine with the packets at the counter. Go save yourself some money and eat cardboard. AVOID!!! read more

Definitely but the original location, atmosphere was very different than the "original submarine house" No Wait, and Fast service at this location. I completely recommend going to the original off the boardwalk for the White House real Experience. Subs are excellent!!! read more

Called at 10:40pm to place an order. No answer. Looked them up on UberEats as advertised on their web site. Not found. Showed up in person at 10:55pm to their workers cleaning up with locked doors. Fuck this place and their unprofessionalism. read more

Absolutely one of my all time favorite places to visit while in AC! The subs are huge, bread is freshly baked, the staff is very friendly, and the restaurant decor is wonderful! I love that they've kept the old school AC vibe, with famous guest's photos covering the walls and bright vinyl covered booths. It's a small place that has always been packed, often with lines out the door. But they are very efficient and the food is worth the wait! read more

Went to White House sub in Hard Rock. To find it from the boardwalk entrance you go left when you walk in. Go up the stairs where the guitar chandelier is. It's right up those stairs/escalators. Open at 9am so get a hoagie or get breakfast. I did both. Got the White House sub with everything and pork roll on Kaiser. Note! Philly people who like hard roll then don't get Kaiser roll -tooo soft. Need to toast that or something. I'll get it in their delicious hoagie/ sub roll next time. read more
Sometimes, life is a drag. It's a Wednesday, you're wandering the boardwalk alone, and nothing will pick up your spirits quite like a classic South Jersey Italian hoagie. Trudge yourself over to White House Subs Needing to fix that hoagie craving and wanting to get some ocean air, I strolled up the boardwalk to White House's outpost at the Hard Rock instead of heading up Arctic Ave to the original. No matter: this was a great sandwich. The crowded counter serves up a wide selection of hot and cold subs, served as "halfs" (half a loaf of bread stuffed with deli standards). I went with the White House Special: salami, hot ham, provolone, lettuce, onion, tomato, oil & vinegar, eating half at the food court and the other back at my room in Bally's. It's everything a good hoagie should be: slightly chewie bread, salty meats, just enough vinegar. I think Sack I Subs has the edge, but this is a damn good sandwich. read more

Every time I stay at the hard rock I go here to eat the Italian sandwich is one of the best I've ever had. It's very large and I normally end up splitting it or having it for two meals. Service is normally pretty quick, but it does get crowded classic in Atlantic City and I love that there's one at the hard rock. . read more
Was at the Hard Rock for a conference and when I exhausted my tolerance for conference-provided fare, I stopped by White House Subs for a truly excellent Italian hoagie*. Terrific portion size for a "half sub" and amazing zing with the red pepper sauce. Would definitely order again. Yea it's got same White House brand and whatnot but this is not a real white house as far as taste is concerned. I mean I am not sure what they are doing but this doesn't taste like the white house by bass pro shop-- aka the real White House. You're just overpaying casino tax for a regular sub-par non White House sub. read more

We love this place. We did our normal routine, when we leave AC, we stop by and order two breakfast sandwiches for our drive home, and we order 3 large subs , 1 chicken cutlet Parmesan and 2 Italian special subs. And 1 regular BLT sub that was so full of bacon. As always , bread is soft and perfect and sandwiches are so delicious, wouldn't change a thing. read more

Ordered a steak sandwich. Looked and tasted like they used the scrappings from the grill. Dry, burnt, meat with no sauce or flavor. Italian hoagie meat tasted old and gummy texture. Overheard cashiers mocking the customer in front of me when they had questions about the menu. Would not eat here again if it was free. read more
Worked from the hotel room so wanted to get a quick breakfast. You are getting fresh eggs, not the liquid egg stuff. Yea a little expensive at $10 but your going to pay being in the hotel. Only thing I don't get is how you don't have yellow American or cheddar for the sandwich read more
