Usually we enjoy eating here however today's service was very disappointing. We ordered from our room for my husband to pick up. Very simple order of two coffees, chicken salad sandwich and onion rings. When he returned to the room, there was no onion rings. Mind you the food was charged to the room. This meant you have our name and room number. When we discover the onion rings were missing, I called and explained it to the woman who answered the phone and her response was "I forgot to put them in the bag and they are in the warmer". These were a $8.00 item, I would have expected her to say, I'm sorry, I can take them off your bill or we will make a fresh order for you to pick up. My husband went back and picked up the onion rings which were dry and had no flavor at this point. Needless to say, we were disappointed at the service we received today. Sack O's had always served up the best hoagies this side of the Atlantic City border. All the meats are sliced to order and the bread is fresh and delicious. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that the hoagies are on par with White House, and the steaks might even be better. If any place has shown up that does a better job, I didn't know about it. read more

If you need a quick/cheap bite while in the Bally's/Claridge area, it does what it needs to do. It's nothing I would go out of my way for, but there's plenty of seating and the sandwiches are reasonable priced and what you might expect from deli sandwiches. For some reason, they can't put lettuce/tomato on half, but they CAN put it wrapped on the side if you are sharing a sandwich. They also have your typical condiments if you want to further customize. The only big downside is the fountain drink was like $4 and the sandwich was only $11 but still $15 for an okay lunch isn't the worst. I would recommend bringing your own drink if you have one. It's also just a nice area to sit if you need to sit a moment as there isn't a lot of seating in the casino. It's better than the pizza next door, so it does what it needs to do for a cheap eat. read more

Worst sandwich place in my experience I ordered a Italian Sausage sandwich with sauce only what I got was a sausage patty no sauce ! It was nauseating and I left it on the counter. The bread was great! Why do I say that? Because after two bites of my cheesesteak, I scraped out the horsemeat and cheese and just ate the bread. I was looking for a good cheesesteak while in AC, but didn't want to go to Whitehouse subs with their overpriced subs on long skinny bread to give the illusion it's a bigger sub. The others in our party had decent sized Sack cold subs which were just ok tasting. The sub bread looked and tasted like a baguette from Lidl. I live in VA but grew up in Jersey and really miss pork roll/Taylor ham. I typically always visit this spot when I'm in AC. Their breakfast sandwiches are amazing. We came out to AC for a few days!!! And we wanted something to eat that was good!!! All the Bally's employees said this was the place to come BUT we declined this spot! Cause my husband wanted a more special dining setting for our first day in AC!!! But the 2nd night we wanted a burger and Sack O Subs did not disappoint!!!! Our burger was so good that before we left we had to get another!!! Now the burger is $8.25 and we added on cheese which came up to $9.25 !!!! Unfortunately they only cook there burger at one temperature and one temperature only and that's well done!!! Apparently my review keeps getting taken down. Wife and I were in there 6 weeks or so ago, ordered couple sandwiches to go and got the "Covid virus and everyone who has/had it and the people who have died from it are all fake" speech while we waited. And told "After the election the virus will magically go away." Apparently we ordered crazy political rhetoric instead of sandwiches.. It was the short owner/manager lady working up front. She should learn to keep her radical opinions to herself, especially ridiculous ones where loved ones have been lost to this virus. Staff is nice. They were super busy and kept their cool. We were there for breakfast. The sandwiches were ok. They threw ketchup in the bag without us having to ask. That was nice. Sandwiches were huge. We took them outside to eat at the tables outside ballys. Homeless man asked me for $ while I was opening my sandwich. Line was minimal (unlike Dunkin Donuts) & they were open early for breakfast with quick, reasonably priced eats. The subs are HUGE, at least 12" & the added cheese is in abundance, borderline too much. Hashbrown was a bit too greasy, so I skipped on my second visit. Checked into the new Claridge Hotel pretty late and felt a bit lazy to hit the boardwalk. I knew that Sack o Subs was in the Bally's Casino and Resort, which is connected to the Claridge Hotel. Looking over the menu, the prices were good, given you are in a casino. Everything in the casinos are expensive, even on the Boardwalk. We ordered a chicken sub, wings, tenders, and french fries. Everything was more than what we expected. Large portions and great tasting food. Also, they sell 16 ouch bottles of select beer for $4 - $5 each, which I think is very reasonable. This place was a lifesaver for us on our first trip. My 15 year old is rather a picky eater, and she'd been having a hard time finding foods she would eat. I really couldn't blame her. Most of the restaurants we'd been to that trip (last week of June) weren't that great. So the ham and cheese sandwich from this place was a joy to find! She chowed down on it without delay. I've had the roast beef, which is also very nice. The bread is a more dense, chewy loaf than the fluff you get at Subway. It's a robust Italian style bread. My mother had a burger and said it was one of the best burgers she's had in a long time. The cashier was so kind. We asked for empty cups so we could take some ice up to our room (ice machine on our floor wasn't working), and she said we could bring the bucket down to fill it up if we wanted.
