Whatever it was I ate, it was VERY YUMMY. The sandwich had a biscuit for the bun and some sauce that was sweet but also spicy. The sandwich had cheese, bacon, and an avocado! Super filling and great tasting. But the kicker was the green smoothie because you really don't find that too many places. I looooooove green smoothies and this one was great! We popped in on a rainy afternoon for a couple of cold brews. White Moon has a really cool vibe. A couple of small cafe tables outsides and a hipster-ish inside feel. It seems like they specialize in specialty cocktails, small portion meals, and coffee. The cold brews were pretty good but not quite 5 star. The staff was nice and friendly. I'd stop in again if I needed another afternoon pick-me-up but I probably wouldn't be a regular. read more

Vibey and Funky place with Friendly staff willing to "customize" menu items. Smoothie was great and sandwich was what I needed.

My best friend and I go to dark moon as much as we can. Billy is our favorite mixologist in town. He knows our orders and gives excellent attention to detail. Everyone is very kind and respectful. We have a small cottage in downtown Sylva that we visit often. We love the town and especially love the White Moon coffee shop! The place has a very relaxed vibe, the staff is always friendly and helpful and the food and coffee are excellent. Our favorites are the egg Sammy, Gouda Nuff and any of the multiple choices of baked goods. We would go there every morning if possible. read more

Does not look like much when you walk by, but inside is a tiny treasure for coffee lovers and breakfast seekers in Sylva or near WCU. Baristas are well trained and create lovely latte art. Menu is very fresh (local?) and made to order. You can sit among their myriad of plants inside or outside to watch the world drift by. read more

This place has the best chai latte I have ever had! Their sandwiches and pastries are also absolutely great. I appreciate their focus on seasonal, local ingredients. We only are in the area on a monthly basis, but never miss the chance to go to White Moon. read more

We have been going here for awhile now, the food and service has always been great until recently. The past two times we have gone they have given us incorrect items from what we ordered or in todays case, gave us two salads togo when only 2 sandwiches were ordered. This was AFTER repeating the order multiple times. Keep in mind they were also not busy at all at this time, leading to much frustration. read more

Wow! From the decor to the super nice owners, to the most amazing lavender mocha, to the incredibly sweet patrons, this coffee shop was just a pleasure. After going in here I wanted to move to Sylva! They gave us recommendations for shopping, for eating out, chatted with us about what it's like living in their town, I just adored this little spot. I've had hit-or-miss experiences here and at the cocktail bar Dark Moon. Sometimes, the staff is very sweet and accommodating and happy to have you there. Though most other times, they are aloof and dismissive. I've heard staff talking negatively about their coworkers while guests are in the café which is extremely unprofessional and inconsiderate. The food is good, and so are the drinks, but if you're planning on staying to study or do work like you would at a normal coffee shop, prepare to use a cellphone hotspot (in a town with already bad cell service). They are not giving out the wi-fi password for "COVID" reasons, though they immediately and joyfully stopped enforcing masks when it wasn't required by mandate anymore. Seems a little backwards to me, personally. The shift from the daytime coffee shop to the nighttime cocktail bar can be confusing if you've never been, but it is a really cool concept. Ultimately, I can recommend them based on food and drinks, but if you're not "in" here, it feels like you're out. read more

Now they hv the best Cuban cafe con Leche! It even comes with a foamy heart. 5.00 for that. Avocado toast, I figured two pieces for 8 or 8.50. Nope only one piece of like baguette slice toasted with avocado on top. It was great but to expensive. I really loved it but takes a toll on the pocket book esp during this COVID when I can't work so just a little SS check. My drink and my partner's drink tasted watered down. It was the worst cappuccino I've ever had. After paying $5 for a cappuccino the size of a thimble, I find that kind of quality ridiculous. Also, they clearly have wifi but said they don't give the passcode out because of COVID. That makes no sense to me. People come to coffee shops to study and browse the internet, and in a town with poor cell service that is especially true. I will not be returning and I recommend you not waste your time. read more

My husband and I had high hopes for this coffee shop after seeing the reviews and photos, but we were pretty disappointed. First, the honey lavender latte my husband got was basically just straight milk, no flavor, and just bad. My hot vanilla latte for some reason tasted like a chai latte which it shouldn't, at all. It's not what I ordered and it's not good. The service was very mediocre. The girl taking our order was a little short and walked away like mid order to help someone else. We just didn't feel like we mattered at all. We are not super snobby about service at places, but here it was just not warm and inviting. I love the whole vibe and aesthetic/design of the place and think it would be lovely to relax in. But we aren't from around here and probably won't be returning. read more

Wow. This place is awesome! Their food is so good. Their egg sandwich is a perfect blend of creamy, acidic, and salty. The smoked salmon toast is so tasty with the dill, herbed cream cheese, red onion, and capers. We've been here four times and each time the coffee and food has been consistently great! The coffee is brewed well and isn't bitter. They have unique latte flavors like balsam fir and spices. This is a true gem in Sylva, I can't wait to go back! read more

My 10yo and I have now stopped here twice...today we drove a little out of the way to make the stop on our way home from TN to GA. If you're debating on which coffee shop to go to in Sylva, you should would come here or to Farmhouse. The coffee is very good. I would say it's very worth it. Especially their iced vanilla lattes. I wanted to give this coffee shop four stars, however, the reason behind the three stars is because they are always closed. They always close early. There have been at least three times I have gone to White Moon during their open hours and my heart was pounding with excitement for a latte, only to be disappointed to see a paper on the door "we closed early today."
