There was 2 female employees right in front, but it was as if they purposely avoided making any eye contact. Not a single hello, even as we walked through the entire place and passed another female employee on the sales floor. Too bad... we were interested in a few items, but I'm a big advocate for providing incredible service and I did not want to make any purchases in a place that didn't make any friendly efforts. No surprise even upon walking out we didn't get a goodbye or even a stare because I watching to see if they were going to say anything to us and nothing.

He was out two weeks ago to measure and estimate the job and let my wife pick out the styles. The process couldn't have been easier and he had them all installed in just under two hours. This is the second time my wife has used Ray and her friends all swear by him, including two interior designers. He was neat and clean during the install process and took away all the packaging, so, no need to cut up all the cardboard for recycling. I like it when a project is easy!

I had a very old Pella sunroom, a series of windows and skylights all built together as one unit. Midwest had to remove the unit and custom make a new section of roof while installing new skylights and windows. Brian made a meticulous plan and executed to perfection. Deborah Pernice was our designer; she was able to use her expertise and our vision to design a beautiful, family-friendly kitchen in our 2200 square foot house that has allowed us to host our large family. Deborah went to bat for us in designing and redesigning our floor plan to make us able to knock down a small support wall and add an island so that our kitchen is now completely open to an odd-shaped dining addition that was done by previous owners in an aesthetically-pleasing way. We love our kitchen and all the smart choices Deborah made, such as a stick-vacuum and electronics cabinet, lazy susan, and beautiful lighting options. I recommend Deborah if you are looking to design your kitchen or bathroom in the Northwest suburbs.

Today when I was in town I took the opportunity to walk around a bit. There are a lot of nice looking housewares and decor throughout the store. It's actually quite large, and had an upstairs design area as well. Lots of pillows, furniture, wall art, and so on. The women in the store were busy with other customers when I and others entered, but once she was done she came and welcomed us to the store and asked us if we needed any assistance. There wasn't anything I needed and between buying some other home decor items and spending money with guests visiting, I didn't really want to spend any money and just wanted to take a look around. There was one item I found, a navy-colored, ~leather, mirrored tray; however, when the two sizes were $60 or $90 and when I turned it over I there was a big made in China mass production sticker on it, which was pretty disappointing for a store that has so many items that appear to be locally made or at least have a local flavor. I would visit again to wander or if I was looking for something specific (and I'll bet they have some lovely things around the holidays). However, I'd try to learn about the origins of what I was buying and if it's just an assembly line piece to help me determine what I'd be willing to pay for whatever I was purchasing.
