This venue is absolutely gorgeous and literally offers everything. Outside they have a stunning pergola, right beside large mature trees with the tranquil sound of the running water from the bayou, a fire pit, intricate metal gates and an outside swing great for photos. The inside of the venue is already decorated so nicely that very little decoration is needed for your special day. Not to mention the Bridal Suite it newly renovated. Sherry is such a genuinely sweet person and goes above and beyond to meet your every need. I highly recommend this venue! I cannot thank Cari and the rest of the staff at White Oaks for the amazing job they did for my friends wedding! I'm so thankful that everything went so smoothly during the wedding! Thank you so much for creating a wonderful memory for them! The one thing I was not happy about while getting the venue set up, is that an hour and a half prior to the start of the wedding, another coordinator escorted a couple around the venue. To say that I was furious is an understatement. I had to make sure the bridal party did not see the rogue coordinator as they were getting pictures taken and getting ready. It was extremely rude and unprofessional for this coordinator to do a showing while one of the venues clients is about to walk down that beautiful aisle to the arch. For your future clients, please don't do this!!!! read more

We got engaged in January 2017. White Oaks on the Bayou in Simonton was the second venue we visited. Within 5 minutes of our arrival I was in love and SOLD! White Oaks is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! From the stunning outdoor ceremony space with water feature, built in pergola/arbor and the lake behind as a backdrop (GORGEOUS) to the indoor reception space with wood beamed ceiling and chandeliers already draped with greenery - it is absolutely STUNNING! With that in mind - it doesn't take much to decor as it is already so beautiful on it's own. The firepit and the patio with plenty of string lights - make for great spots for guests to gather for additional dance space and conversation. We were married here last Sunday, November 5, 2017. Our guests were blown away by the beauty of White Oaks! We had a lot of local guests from the Katy, Texas area who couldn't believe such a "gem" existed just outside of Katy. The staff at White Oaks from Sherry Ramji to our venue DOC Carrie were amazing to work with. Pricing was great. You get a lot for your money. The only reason why we did not book was because of the person who toured us. Very rude upon first meeting. Tried to rush us out. I'm guessing she was a rookie since no person should be acting like that towards a potential customer. read more

Allow me to preface my review with the fact that I have nothing but good things to share. I do not work for the venue, nor have I ever been paid by the venue!!! LOL! I tell you that b/c Yelp has a reputation for not liking 5 star reviews (saying they are fake) so I'm hoping yelp's algorithm accepts this review so I can share how awesome this place really is! White Oaks is a picturesque new venue located just a few miles west of Katy; the perfect canvas to host any memorable event! Sitting on 32 acres, horses graze near the front of the property and a serene creek flows just beyond their outdoor patio (which is beautifully lit up with strings of lights). As local vendor, also located in Simonton (Re'Luv'd Vintage Rentals // www.reluvd.com), I've had the opportunity to work the venue already and I can honestly attest to how friendly, professional, and helpful the staff is. They allow you to choose the vendors you prefer which is such a nice option for both the DIYer and pickiest of brides! If you don't know where to start they have a list of trusted vendors as well. White Oaks is obviously a fabulous choice for your wedding... but calling it a wedding venue would be an extremely limited statement; it has so much more potential!!! Had the chance to attend a wedding at White Oaks. A true diamond in the rough. Plenty of parking very nice buildings. Very well manicured lawn. AC works great. No complaints. I will have future plans for this place. You can hold any kind of function here. This go-round was a wedding that turned out great. Would recommend to anyone. read more

We loved this venue. Everything about it was just beautiful. The lights, the fire pit, everything. Sherri was amazing, she would email me back within minutes to answer all my questions. Carrie was our DOC, she was just fine. Unfortunately you only get one meeting with her (the rehearsal) and this was not near enough time to get her up to date on all plans. Do not have anything specific the DOC needs to do, because you will not have time to tell her. She comes one hour before your ceremony starts and she runs your timeline. Our cake cutting was never properly announced so most people missed it. She did a good job overall with what she had. If we had just had one REAL meeting with just her it would have gone a lot smoother. The bartender you have to hire (only one they allow) is okay but make sure you tell them everything in the moment because the man i spoke with did not give the actual bartender any details so a couple things went wrong there. The security they hired was great, i never noticed him and that is a good thing. Do not turn on the water feature if you want to be heard during the ceremony. We had it on and even with a mic and speaker no one could hear us at all. I wish the coordinator would have realized and shut it off, though i understand why she did not. The man who helped us set up the venue was fantastic and every person I talked to at White Oaks was very helpful. Nothing comes with this venue which was perfect for us to make it our own. The grounds are just incredible and I am so excited to get the pictures back. You should definitely have your wedding here , every single person told us how amazingly beautiful it was. We hired Pier 36 (in fulsheur) as our caterer and even though they are not on their list of preferred contacts they should be! Check them out! They had someone else (bride from the next weekend) come in and measure stuff while we set up day of. I wish I knew this would happen because they were there for at least an hour and kind of in the way. Not to mention our wedding rings were in plain site. They (3 women) took this opportunity to go look through the entire venue again. This was slightly annoying, but not the fault of white oaks. Even with these small things (they really are small, just worth noting) I would not have changed anything, this venue made our wedding very special. read more
