I honestly regret buying a CBH home. My house isn't even 3 years old, and the carpets throughout…read morethe home are already bunching up with massive humps and wrinkles everywhere. I paid out of pocket to have one room professionally restretched, and the installer told me the carpet was improperly installed from the beginning. He had to cut out 3 inches just to make it lay correctly. Now the same problem is happening in multiple rooms. The floors are another nightmare. I submitted warranty requests for squeaky floors several times within the first year of ownership, and every time it felt like pulling teeth just to get someone out here. Instead of fixing the problem properly, they make you pick and choose which squeaks they'll address, even though the entire home was still under warranty. Some areas were never fixed at all. This is the 5th home I've owned, and without question the poorest quality construction I've experienced. The shortcuts in workmanship are obvious once you actually live in the home. A new build should not already have failing carpet installation, squeaky floors, and ongoing repair issues before it's even 3 years old. CBH may build homes fast, but quality and customer care clearly take a back seat. If you're considering buying from CBH Homes, I strongly recommend looking at other builders before making the same expensive mistake I did.

We never felt John was trying to "sell" us a home. He was a trusted advisor and guided us with fact-based, non-emotional info. He was personable and took the time to get to know us, including our 6-year old son. Once we entered escrow, John called us every week (Tuesday update calls!) to check in and provide added info. His team was also amazing in helping with any needs along the way, providing a great liaison with the seller's agent to ensure we got all questions answered about the home (measurements for furniture, etc.). And it didn't stop there. Even after closing, John provided us with a list of trusted vendors, as well as ensuring we completed our Homeowner's Exemption info with the county, to save on property taxes. It is very obvious John has spent a lot of time systematizing his business to ensure no stone goes unturned. You'll appreciate John's organization, personal touch, and professionalism. We found many items that were not done properly. They fixed some through warranty and others they gave us the big run around. Also they defrauded us. We paid extra for better carpet pad. We had a minor water leak and had to pull up the carpet and pad , and noticed the pad which was installed was not the upgraded pad we paid for. This is fraud. Also, the tile we picked out was not what was used in one of the bathrooms. The installed tile is really plain and blaaa, but what do they care , they got their $$$$$$$$$$$$$. So be very careful if u use this builder. I would NOT use them in the future. Other builders r better in my opinion.
