This has got to be THEE most annoying Honda service center in the NY area because I have experienced a few. I initially booked my appointment online regarding a recent recall notice. About a few hours later I get 2 missed calls and voicemail from White plains honda. The next day was the day I scheduled for service and I get a call from a male from white plains honda asking questions about my vehicle history. When I asked him what the call was about he became evasive and said he wanted to confirm that I was coming to the appointment. Huh?? But you don't need to ask me 20 questions about my vehicle history to confirm an appointment! Later that day when I arrive for my service appointment and check in. About 10 minutes after sitting down in the waiting room that sounds like club, I get a call from a lady asking about my car history again! When I explained that I already got a call asking the same questions she apologized. Then a few minutes later I get a text asking about my vehicle history and value. I respond to the text indicating that I'm not interested only to receive 2 more texts telling me the estimated value of my car!! When I'm notified that my car is ready the female attempts to speak with me about additional service recommendations. I immediately tell her not to waste her time because I would not be returning to white plains honda for service. I brought my car to White Plains Honda service this morning at 8am to fix 3 recalls. I procrastinated because I don't like the dealership. I kept getting notices so I brought it in. They said it would be 4 1/2 to 5 hours, and it ended up taking 8. I picked up the car at 4, got home in 15 minutes. The technician left the passenger seat in the reclined post so I walked around the car and found a nice scratch in the passenger door. The "service advisor" Josh is a pos! Didnt have my ride ready for 35 minutes cause he was busy eating and talking to his coworker about bs. Didn't have my info correct or double check it with me. Don't think he even looked at my appointment because he asked what I wanted done. Had an attitude the whole time. Got a call 1 & half hours after dropping it off saying it was ready to find out they didn't even fix the recall, the reason why I dropped it off.. than when I picked it up, they didn't fix my windshield wiper squirters which I requested, so I had to wait another 15-20 minutes for it to get fixed. The inside of my car smelt like gas from the workers and floor mat was dirty from them. Said they didn't even fix a multipoint inspection but doesn't not seem like they did... I went in yesterday around 3:30pm. I was in the area and needed an inspection. I drove up and was about to park to go in and see if they had availability. The guy in the front told me to pull forward, I told him I didn't have an appointment, but he said to pull forward anyways so I did. He took my cars information down and then told me to speak to the front desk. This was my first time at this particular Honda Location. When I came in I was a little confused and not sure who to talk to. After standing for a little bit a woman behind a desk greeted me and asked if I had an appointment. I said no, then she made a face and asked what I needed. I told her I needed an inspection. She asked me if I can come earlier. Honestly I was caught off guard so I had her repeat herself and I said I can't come earlier because I work early. She asked if I work around the area and I said no, I work in the Bronx. Then she asked if I lived in the Area and I said I live in Yonkers. Then she said there's dozens of other places I could've gone to. Honestly that sent a shock through me, I did not expect that from customer service. I simply wanted to inquire if they had availability to inspect my car. I told her I can go somewhere else it's fine. I love my Honda and my experience with buying my Honda Upstate. This was so unwelcoming. The irony is that I read the reviews online and seen negativity but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. I will not be back to this location for a trade in, service or anything. I chose this place because they always offer a ride, but it comes at a cost, the cost of service. I have a newer car, and the price quote for repairs was $4500. They said I needed new brakes (front and back), new tires, Transmission fluid change, cabin air filter change, brake fluid replacement, and wheel alignment. If you are a woman don't trust them. I had someone else replace the brakes and they said they had another 20-30,000 miles on them and only one tire was bad. I don;t understand how they could be so dishonest. I will never go there again. If you go to White Plains Honda be careful because they tried to charge me for repairs I didn't need. I went in for an open recall on my 2021 Honda HRV. While I was there they "scanned" my vehicle and told me that I needed almost $2,000 worth of repairs. I needed new spark plugs, a valve cover gasket replacement because I was leaking oil, a differential flush, and my tires aligned. I decided to go to my regular mechanic and told him what Honda said I needed. His fee was a lot less than White Plains Honda. He ordered the spark plugs, and the valve cover gasket. Thirty minutes later when he got the parts he called me and said that I didn't need any of those things. When I went back he opened the hood and showed me my spark plugs which looked new. He said they are 100,000 mile spark plugs and my car had barely 18,000 miles. He showed that my gasket cover was fine. My mechanic is Al at Central Auto Body in Yonkers. He returned the parts he ordered and didn't charge me anything. I recommend him highly. He's clearly very trustworthy. Be warned. There are many good things about buying a Honda car, but the service ain't one. The sellers usually charm you and you know the value of the price you are getting for some of their models. Nonetheless the courtship ends there, or more specifically in this place. I made an appointment for 8:30, and the confirmation is not clear enough that I ended up going to the wrong place. I will call that miss communication on both parts. They send you an email with a picture and the address is on the picture, so if you're a normal person and look for it on the details - guess what? Not there! I came at 8:50 I knew I was late for my appointment (by 20 minutes) so I knew there would be some delay. I came FOR A CHANGE OF TIRE. The service person told me 1 1/2 hours or 2, and I was shocked but I reluctantly asked for the waiting room. 2 AND A HALF hours later I went back and asked for my car. She said they had not gotten to it yet. She said they had a lot of cars. And I was like that makes no sense. Anyone with a brain knows that you can only accept the amount of cars you can take for the time. If an oil change takes X amount of time, and you only have B amount of technicians, is it so hard to find the A on the equation? you can only schedule a specific amount of cars for that time slot. Some technicians will be for long jobs, others for fast or maintenance. But seems like they hire just about anyone on this industry and the manager has no clue what they are doing. It's schedule anything and the customer can suck it up. At 11:29 the advisor came and I approved the work. At 12 I went and she said it should be ready. She called and the technician said it would be 15 minutes. I went there after 18 minutes and she said she did not know. I told her I knew it was not her personal fault but if there was someone else I could talk to and she pointed me out to a gentleman who told me it would be 10 more minutes. This by the 1 hour mark. At this point I have been here 3 and a half hours. He said 1 hour was normal for a change of tire, and I said I understood and the hour had passed. The story then changed to that the technician had to finish a job first and then get to my car. Why? So another 10 minutes, a lost Half morning of work a $100 fee for a cancelled dr appointment later... is 12:34 I'll update when I finally have my car. To top it off I was offered a taxi at 12:23. A taxi where? To my work or my home? I just needed my car. She said she could have sent you to your appointment for free and I was like you did not offer any taxi service when I came in, nor did I think it was needed since my appointment was for 8:30 (or 9 when I showed) and my doctor's at 12. I thought I'll probably be done by 11. No matter what, go somewhere else. My last Honda was from Yonkers and I never waited longer than 1 and a half hours for routine service. I've been going here for years just to get an oil changes and every single time they want to upsell me on a number of things I know I don't need. And in the winter time they'll really take advantage of you because I know you don't want to crawl underneath your car. So I go in for a oil change. Afterwards they tell me I only have 2 mm on my front brakes and that I need rotors. They try to strong arm me into doing it on the spot but I have to pick up my kid so I said no I'm not doing that right now. The following week I go in with an appointment to get my front brakes and rotors done on the and they quote me $950! I tell them that's ridiculous. They say well just parts alone are $400. And I said well I'm not doing that. So I go to the parts department and I buy the rotors and the brakes for $388. Right off the bat I'm wondering where they came up with $550 in labor for a simple brake/rotor job. Even the parts dept was taken aback by this ridiculous quote. It's literally five lug nuts, four bolts, and a screw per wheel to do brakes and rotors. So, I go ahead and start doing it myself and what do I find? Lo and behold, my rotors are fine and so are my brakes. If they think this is 2 mm they need to reacquaint themselves on how the metric system works. This is easily 6mm. Not 2. Add to that the fact that I will easily get 5 calls from a salesman trying to get me to trade in my car for a new one even though I told them from the beginning I'm not interested, I'm done with these people. I am extremely upset regarding the misleading information I received from both Alondra Lepe and Luz Martinez. They assured me, via email and text, that I would be given a guaranteed "manager's" price in the $400 range for an SUV. First of all, it is extremely difficult for me to visit the dealership in person. I had expressed to both of them on multiple occasions that I preferred to handle everything remotely, which I know is possible because I have done it with other dealerships. I care for my disabled sister, who is severely autistic, and it is challenging to take her to places. Despite my reservations, I trusted their assurances and brought my sister to the dealership, causing her considerable distress. Although the salesperson was very nice, I am extremely disappointed that my time was wasted, which I explicitly said I did not want to happen. The prices they offered were $200-250 over what I was promised. This is unacceptable. I feel lied to and deceived. This is not how customers should be treated. Every time I come here, they tell me 1-2 hours and it's 4+ hours for general maintenance. Anthony really is the only person here that seems helpful. The rest of the staff typically will walk by you and offer little to no help. I have met friendly people here before. But I think turnover is rather high, because between maintenance appointments (3-6 months ) the same people are never here. Except the 3 guys inside the office entering data (including Anthony) and the woman handling the payments. Once I came here and had an issue with getting a loaner (which they don't do, but I leased a brand new car through the WhitePlains dealership and it was damaged so they had to reimburse me for the loaner I needed because it was a Honda issue. That was a whole other issue. See that review) Another time they have left my car just running for hours and wasted my gas, after 4+ hours the oil change was done. I called another time to book an appointment and they said they booked the appointment over the phone and when I came it wasn't booked. So I had to wait longer while they squeezed me in. Another time I came here on my day off, and apparently my maintenance plan ran out. Apparently it's 24 months or 24000 miles which ever comes first. No one ever explained that to me all the times I've come prior. They didn't give me anything physical when I was offered this through sales it was in the computer. So I didn't know. Didn't even know it was a thing that was included after I got my car until I came here for my first oil change. So this time I was told my oil change would be $44 with a coupon, I needed a $29.99 tire rotation and $169.99 for a cabin filter and air filter change. Also, I had a recall for the fuel tank which is important to get address. Told the person that over the phone when I booked the appointment. The said they weren't told prior when the appointment was booked so they have to order it and I have to come back. Todays total visited costed $244 before tax and took a total of 4 hours our of my day that I can't get back. And like I mentioned I still need to come back again for the recall because they already supposedly ordered the part. There are other times within the last 3 years. The worst dealership I've ever been to! manager Kevin Milan tried to over charge me $1,600 above MSRP price and when I called him out on it he was super rude. He followed me from the service department where he operates to the sales dept where I was working with a nice lady and interrupted me midway through negotiations to sabotage me. Then Generald manager Eddy Santos came over after a 10 minute huddle, and extremely condescending to me. I finally left and called corporate to file a complaint. I went over to another dealership and within 2 hours I had a fair deal that made sense to both the dealership and I. DO NOT GO THERE!!! look up all the negative reviews on google review and these two managers are often mentioned to be disrespectful to the clients. The owner needs to fire them immediately or they will continue to lose loyal customers. I will follow up with the BBB and a google review myself. This place is completely out-of-management. My car broke down on Monday so I took it to the shop 8AM Tuesday morning. Check-in was swift, but the guy who was helping me (Kevin) didn't ask me ANY questions about what was wrong with the car or for details. Told me he'd like to get it fixed in a few hours and I opted for their shuttle to take me back home and wait. At the end of the day, I get a call saying they have no idea what the problem is, and would like to do a transmission service. I was quite sure I had a warranty, but they kept saying I didn't. It was already late, and I couldn't make any phone calls to verify. Confirmed the next morning I had warranty and called to let Kevin know the details. At this point they are still unsure of the issue but had already done the transmission service. Told Kevin I needed the car by Friday and he said he was going to try and get it to me by that Wednesday. Never received a call from him by the end of the day, and guess what... he wasn't even in on Thur! Ugh. I speak with someone else who told me that they couldn't start any repairs without the warranty confirmation. And turns on the claim ended being for a 1.5hr service that they've been sitting on for three days. Conclusion of the story is... they're so busy with all their other customers, and tend to back log while making empty promises. In the end I had to pay for the transmission service out of pocket bc they never filed it with the warranty company. He came up with different options for us and worked extremely well with us on pricing. He stayed an hour after closing time to make sure we got next day pick up. This has been the service center were we have taken our Honda before. And just like many others complaints, the wait time is extremely long. I overheard because of the COVID-19, they are short staff and can't have many employees working together. But In the past reviews before COVID, people seem to complain a lot about wait time. I unfortunately do not know why they have been having such a long history of issue of wait time. This should be fixed not carried on. But this weekend, it took about 3 hours just to get the car diagnosed with the issue. And that was with an appointment. Again wait time is an issue that needs to be resolved at this service center. But the staff were friendly and kind to us, and when I came to this center this past weekend, they did have snacks and coffee and water for the customers. And the bathrooms were thoroughly cleaned. And social distance was practiced. I honestly wouldn't recommend coming here if you're short on time, the wait time is insane. Since my old Accord turned 10, I occasionally hit the dealer for the big stuff. I don't know why anyone would go to the dealer for oil and minor adjustments that can be done at half the price by a local mechanic, if you do, don't blame the dealer. Had timing belt replacement and new brake pads at White Plains Honda. Delivered car at 8AM and picked it up later that day, no issues. Anthony is not there anymore, so you get a twenty-something named Mary Valdez. She seems knowledgeable enough, but I wish she would address me in a formal way instead of first name. Really shocked that there's no "Ms" or "Mr" in her vocabulary. After all we are clients, not your friends. I am perfectly willing to do the same for you if requested. read more

I have been here a few times in the past and had a positive experience. Unfortunately I went last week and my visit was so bad I will never go back again. I bought my car in and I heard the Service Advisor say to the Technician "I've never heard of this problem before." I knew I was in trouble. After an hour and half, the technician asked me to come to the car and I had to explain what the problem was. The newer Hondas have so much high tech in it I feel the technicians are either not trained or need someone who knows what the issue is so a customer doesn't have to explain it. He said he had to call someone, they knew what the problem was and I had to call them when I got home. I called when I got home and they had no idea how to resolve and had to open up a ticket. Meanwhile I never heard back from my Service Advisor, the paperwork was never given back to me nor did I hear back from the technician. I hope I get a survey on how they performed. Update 1/6/18: This has to be the worst Honda Service center in the Tri-State area. Drove in and was totally ignored. At all costs, avoid seeing the guy who sits in the front. I was there yesterday on August 12th for minor tire check .. Made APP then I was told that my Honda CRV 2019 had recalls. "What? I didn't receive any letters nor email whatsoever! Apparently there were two recalls for safety issues about airbag and something else .. Issued on May 2019 but I didn't get anything.. Anyway I've done it since I was there so .. but hey! they should have sent us recalls notice ASAP. The most annoyed was that they lost my key! We've finished paid and ready to leave after 2 hours plus waiting at service station... then "Where is the key?" Negligent! What an awful thing that they could not able to locate my car key!! Waited for 15-20 minutes . Guess what? Apparently someone took my keys and left in her car .. BUT WHY?? Normally you'd pick up your key after you finished included paid then you'll retreat your car key!! but this woman .. who knows why she took my key! whether by accidentally or she didn't know how it works?? Who knows why she took my car key! The bottom line is that Honda service station! that's their negligent their fault! No excuse! I understand that it was bit busy yesterday .. This place is crazy busy literally 24-7. Came here 6 months ago to try and have my airbag replaced because of a recall and made an appointment and it was still going to be 3-4 hours until it got done. So this weekend I committed and made another appointment expecting the same. The people got me in in about 2.5 hours. The service reps at the front are not particularly friendly and they seem super short staffed. The waiting room and lobby were totally packed. Good for them though! read more

Would not recommend taking your car here. Called for appointment and was told I had a10:30 appointment. When I got there I found that all that meant was the line to get service starts at 10:30! After you wait in line with your car you are told to go in the office to checkin. Once in there you find no orderly line so know one knows who is next. Why not just use the number they assign your vehicle to determine who is next. Went back at time car was supposed to be ready and had to wait an hour for it to be finished. Sat there as was disturbed by all the people complaining about the service done to their car. When I finally got my car found 2 problems. One a random screw found on my seat. Secondly my air vent was broken. I also don't believe they bother to cover the seats when they work on your car. Lastly I left my dashcam in the car. It recorded the mechanic burning rubber on the way out of the repair bay. I realize this review is pointless in that there are a lot of others reviews that are negative and people don't care. This place is the worst I had an appointment the week of Fourth of July because I got alert something was wrong with my transmission even thought my car wasn't even a year old anyhow when I go there its a line wrapped all the way down the street when I finally get there they tell me there was a recall and I would have to leave my car especially since it was a holiday approaching and they will call me when it was ready, They called me 5 days later to pick up my car and they stated I just needed a battery which was BS because the message sent to my car said transmission. On 12/27/18 I had an appointment for 10am for an oil change . I went in and sat and waited to be checked in but there were only 2 people helping and they were really busy, no one acknowledged me or said anything then I saw one of the men that was checking in go outside to talk to auto repair technicians and started pointing at my car when I went outside I said is there a problem I have been sitting inside waiting to be checked in for my appointment he states " I can't see your car today " and walks away no follow up no nothing WTF, I was pissed not only did I waste my time and gas but then to be dismissed like I'm not s?&? Is not cool and they have a nerve to say exceptional customer care on there website that sounds very misleading and I'm going to complain to whoever owns that place . I overheard them talking about recalls and they have had a lot of cars come in unexpectedly, soooo if that's the case stop taking appointments that day or freakin call the people and tell them they will need to reschedule because they can't be accomadated today. They are organized and professional. I have had routine service and have made appointments online in advance. For my 8:00 AM appointments they have been fast and communicative about any diagnosed problems. No complaints so far. read more

Flat out -- this place sucks. Save your time and money and do not go here for anything. They kept my car for 3 days for an oil change. AN OIL CHANGE. On top of that, the people who work there either have no clue what they're doing or are extremely unpleasant. It's almost like they want you to pay but they don't want to do any work. i had to give one star so I could write my review, but it doesn't even deserve a half star. read more

The mechanic in this place is the worst one I took my car to fix and they get all the excuses to not fix the car and take so long to fix it like if we don't need the car the only good thing they do is oil change but to fix something they are not good at all I don't know why I pay warranty I'm Honda if they do the worst service work...... read more

UPDATE May 2019: One year and 11,000 miles later, and my shocks actually needed to be replaced. I took my car to an independent mechanic about a block from WP Honda Service, where it cost $350. Note that this is LESS THAN HALF what WP Honda Service wanted to charge me. read more
