Super awesome record shop! Stumbled across it on my way back to San Diego from LA. I love the layout of the store - very organized compared to other stores I've seen. There was a good amount of sealed records as well as secondhand ones. Pricing was very fair and competitive with what I saw online. There were bins of indie, pop, R&B/hip hop, and much more. I realized through my search that I'm into indie music haha! On top of that, I found some artists that I've never seen in other stores which was a nice surprise. I was so excited when I found my favorite LANY album gg bb xx which I had been searching for for the longest time, so of course I had to buy it! What a great little place that was a last minute find on my husband's radar. My husband always loves his vinyl and whenever we are traveling, he tries to go to a record store in the area, he has a list of albums that he is looking for. This place did not disappoint in his treasure hunt. I asked him what he thought and he said it was a great place. They had what he was looking for, the prices are reasonable and it was no frills. He said it was one of the better record stores he has been to with quite a selection (he's been to a lot). He was more impressed that a dad brought his teenage daughters in and one of them was trying to buy as many Beatles albums that she could get. The customer service was super friendly and I was given a very fair price for what I brought in. I'd highly recommend going here first if you have any music collections to sell. Great shop! I was in CA for vacation and had White Rabbit on my list of record stores to check out. It was the first one I visited after checking into my hotel. I found a handful of records I was interested in, but chose not to buy anything. I had a budget and a lot of other stores to visit so I decided to keep my powder dry. On my last day, I had a few hours before my flight and most importantly money so I decided to visit White Rabbit again. I left with two records that the owner was nice enough to cut some dollars off. The store looks okay. The posters on the wall are cool. The selection was alright. I noticed there were a lot of bootlegs and prices were pretty high. Customer service was non existent. I heard them shit talking customers and it made me uncomfortable and making fun of the music choices of other customers. They have an okay CD selection, wish they had more but there were lots of duplicates. All in all, it's mainly older men working who seem to be pretentious about their music taste. I'd only come back to buy anything for under $12 because it's annoying trying to distinguish what is real vs. what is bootleg. read more

was super excited to check this place out after finding it on instagram and while they had a wide selection with lots of cool things and *some* reasonable prices the customer service was incredibly disappointing. i was not greeted upon entry, ignored when i wanted to check out, and one of the guys stared at me directly as he complained about how customers carelessly mess up his alphabetized baskets while the other assisting me with my purchase nodded in agreement. my friend and i were the only ones there and we were very neat, maybe only accidentally misplaced 2 or 3, but it was still a very rude comment that left a bad impression. i'd like to return for the supply but the customer service makes me extremely hesitant to give my business, its the exact behavior i fear from indie places like these read more

Fantastic selection I picked up 4 records that were all in mint or near mint condition and moderately priced. I also noticed they do have a request list which is pretty cool as I've never seen another shop offer that. This place is a goldmine! I can't believe all the great vinyl that I am finding here. I was in there today looking for a particular album and the long haired guy behind the counter told me exactly where to find it. Afterwards, we talked a few minutes about the records I chose and even some artists that weren't even on my radar! This place is much better than I expected, not having been in a record store in a while. Let's just say I had only intended to buy one or two records. I left with, I think 6 total. Came to try this place out since I hadn't visited this record store yet. I unexpectedly found two albums that I have been dying for here which made my week. Albeit, these two albums are only available as bootlegs since 1 was an extremely limited run and the other was never physically produced by the artist. I knew if I ever found them as vinyls, they would be boots so I was still content with my finds. That being said: as I went through the rest of the store, there were a good amount of bootlegs mixed in with authentic vinyls. So if you're only looking for authentic releases, keep an eye out! Bootlegs often have poor image quality on the jacket, different colors of text, and misaligned barcodes. Still a great selection. Happy hunting! read more

My nephew and I spent the day a few months back doing some record shopping and he wanted to check this place out. As soon as we pulled up, I had a really uneasy feeling. I won't go into detail but suffice it to say this is a seedy establishment! No wonder they are in an industrial complex? Sadly, I am not alone in my experience. I later discovered they have garnered a reputation as a party place. We decided to drive to Radiation which was a jammed packed punk paradise! Worst record store ive been to , soon as you walk in you dont get a hello or hows your day from any of the employees. Old dude behind the counter hates his life asked him one question if he a hip hop album in stock just slowly put his head up and nodded no and didnt say anything else or recommended anything similar. 80% of the store is bootleg and nothing is labeled if they are unofficial pressings. Employees were laughing about selling a bootleg Taylor swift cassette to some young girls for a $110 probally worth like $10. So if you like bad service , like buying overpriced bootlegs , or want to talk to a wall with long hair behind the counter come here if not go to all the other amazing record stores in LA with awesome customer service. read more

This is what became of Burger Records when it imploded... you'll find plenty of overpriced, low quality records (bootlegs, etc.), and a generally unfriendly atmosphere. The older gentleman who works there seems to have a chip on his shoulder and acts like he's doing you a favor by ringing you up. There are way better stores nearby (Left of the Dial, Analog Records, Rasta Cowboy) that actually care about & deserve your business. read more

This smelly Hipster I used to work with would always talk about Burger Records. I eventually gave in and went there. I've been here twice and every time I find gems. Not a fan of the music selection. FINALLY! A record store that is close to home and Anaheim bred! (RIP BIONIC RECORDS OF FULLERTON) Unfortunately, I missed the grand opening...but no worries. I got up bright and early to check this place out today. AND it exceeded all my expections! The store is done up well with kitchy shit and vintage record players displayed everywhere. VERY CUTE! The owners Sean (of Thee Makeout Party - check them out if you haven't cuz they're awesome) and Brian (of the defunct Third Eye Records store) are SUPER KNOWLEDGEABLE! LIKE REALLY! They could possibly win lots of $$$$ on Musical Jeopardy if they wanted to. Any weird obscure rare bands/records/genres that you've heard or haven't heard THEY KNOW. But the cool thing is that they're NOT pretentious about it. super cool, super helpful, super awesome! HOWEVER, my only complaint is that there is no section for jazz lovers. :( But no worries, the store is still hours new and Brian said he'll bring out some jazz records. expect mah ass there soon when they do! :) ALSO, they have a huge selection of $1.00 to $5.00 records. DEALS! ON A FINAL NOTE, not only is Burger Records an actual record store, but it's also its OWN LABEL!?!?!?!? Some 30+ bands (some local!) are on the Burger label. Pains me to write this as this was my go to spot for records and a good small business to support. It has been about a year and a couple months since my experience. Here's what happened, White Rabbit listed Frank Ocean's Boys Don't Cry magazine on their instagram, I saw this while at work so as soon as I was off I shot over to take a look at it. It was "sealed" and the packaging looked right but there isn't much I could verify with it being sealed. I figured it would be pretty hard to replicate something like this so I decided to buy. The employee, an older guy with a monotone voice, told me cash would be better to avoid *****. I went home, came back with the sell price of $300 in cash, which at the time was all my money I had, I was in college and it had just been my birthday. I don't open the magazine for a few weeks because I wasn't sure whether to have it in mint condition or not. Weeks later I finally open it to find that the Blonde CD is missing. I called and they said they can't do anything about it. I was pretty devastated since this costs so much. I am not sure if the whole magazine is fake or if it was resealed after the CD was taken out but this was the end of my shopping here. I advise you to take every precaution with this store since some items might be illegitimate or not as advertised. read more

Never really got Burger. I've been a number of times, both when I lived in Orange County and since I've lived in Los Angeles. Every time I go expect to "get" what everyone loves about this place so much but really... never have. Burger mostly wheels and deals with run-of-the-mill older records. On the right side of the store there are some slightly newer records but this is really a house of dusty tunes. The selection is fairly decent and the stock turns over pretty quickly. The store is organized just well enough to know your way around but not enough to find what you're looking for quickly- which is great for diggers. Also, this place has tapes. Yes. Those. The store also has a great selection of 45's. The prices are fine. A lot of the items are honestly dollar bin items that have been hiked up one too many bucks. Other items are completely reasonable. ugh on the service. Does anybody work here? This place confuses me. Lots of couches.Lots of people that are maybe employees on couches? Every time I've been in it's been unpleasant- enough to get me out the store quicker than I'd expected. The one thing burger does that is really cool is produce their own stuff. They've got an awesome presence throughout Southern California. They do tapes and vinyl. A lot of cool smaller artists. So yes, If you want to get Burger stuff your best bet is to come here. I happened to be in the area so I decided to check out the mother ship of some of the coolest music to be coming out of LA. And when they say RECORDS they mean it as it was pretty much all old skool vinyl and cassettes. The CD selection was pretty limited - I was hoping for more given that these guys run the label and I'd rather support them directly versus going thru Bandcamp or God forbid iTunes. That said I did manage to drop some cash at the shop on some music. As others have noted, the place abso-fu'ing-lutely reeks - the concoction is a melange of weed, sweat/BO, mold/dust from the packaging on the old vinyl, and probably piss/vomit caked into the old furniture in the back. Just breathe thru your mouth if it gets too overpowering. Long live Burger as it is one of the last few of its kind. read more
