I've finally had a chance to try a majority of their menu and can I just say... I LOVE THE WHITE RABBIT TRUCK SO MUCH!! When it comes to putting Filipino fusion food on the map, The White Rabbit truck is OG!!! I've been following this truck's success since they opened back in 2010 and am so proud of the way they've helped shine a spotlight on Filipino cuisine! I was lucky enough to catch them in Cerritos and ordered tons of food to feed my big ole Filipino family. First off, their customer service is wonderful! Maddie was so sweet and kind! We ended up ordering 13 entrees and they were able to get us our food in a pretty short wait. My family tried a mix of basically every entree and every meat! My favorite entrees are the Burritos and Quesadillas because of the cheese. I think the addition of cheese gives the food an extra delicious oomph (plus I just love cheese). The portions are also HUGE! My uncles were able to finish an entire entree, but I only ate half a burrito. My aunts split entrees too and were not able to finish everything. But this is great because it meant leftovers! WOOHOO! Secondly, at ~$10/entree, this food is definitely fairly priced (especially for a food truck)! I tried all the meats and they were all really good! I think everyone will have their own favorite meat choice depending on their taste preferences. The beef steak is meaty, salty, and garlicky. The chicken adobo is lighter but still nice and savory. The sisig is fatty and acidic, with a subtle layer of spice. And the tocino is deliciously sweet and salty. If you're looking for something lighter but still flavorful, go with chicken adobo! If you want something savory, go beef steak! If you want something sweet, go tocino! And if you want something with a little heat, go sisig! Depending on my mood for the day, I would either choose tocino or sisig. And now for the biggest compliment of all.. my entire family loved the food! My titas (aunts) and my mom have pretty high standards. My family is from Pampanga, Philippines and Kapampangans are known to be great cooks (which they are). Additionally, we are quite picky about Sisig since it originated from Pampanga! And all my titas agreed...this sisig was good! All the other meats were great too. If you want to try some great Filipino fusion food and also want a chance to support Filipino businesses, definitely eat at White Rabbit! It is Kapampangan Tita-approved!

Wow,amazing food. We found them via IG. We noticed they were asked in the OC maybe 5miles away. So off we started to head over while I reviewed their IG pics. WOW,very authentic food. Upon arrival seen 10 people waiting and a few in their cars. So given that it had been raining all morning I figured it be slow. Heck no!! We waited few minutes to order and 23minutes for food. So not too bad,but it was brrr cold. I have to say,I want you back in OC,Buena Park Ca and I will be happy to support your business. By far, best Filipino food we've had in a very long time. Maybe time for a permanent location at the OC swapmeet. Just a thought. All the foods we tried,Lumpias, I had the triple taco plate of pork with coleslaw, and hubby had 2 different plates: dble chicken, 1 pork plate, and son had their famous Burrito. Affordable and delicious food. A must try! Pics enclosed for your review. 1

Review of my experience with White Rabbit Truck on 10/24/21 If you've been searching for Filipino food, White Rabbit's Filipino Fusion Food Truck is that place you need to check out. The White Rabbit Food Truck has continued its operation since July 10, 2010. While authentic Filipino food has been said from many people that it's best enjoyed at a Filipino friends home, at White Rabbit they serve a Fusion style of food with enough of a difference to knock you off your feet with an American and Mexican twist to their Filipino cuisine. I believe Filipino cuisine is super obscure even in todays world, and I love how at White Rabbit Truck their goal is to introduce the huge diverse population of Socal on their take of Filipino cuisine while trying to keep it familiar with American & Mexican influences. Even for a foodie such as myself who isn't Filipino, I can openly admit that Filipino food is something I have only had maybe 4 or 5 times now and I am SEVERELY Lacking the palette for Filipino cuisine due to my inexperience with handling their food. For presentation purposes I asked Madel if it was possible for me to get 4 of their tacos & 4 of their Quesadillas so I can try each of their meat options. BUT normally you'd be getting them in pairs of 3 FYI! Tacos Quadruple: Knowing me, tacos is one of my biggest love when it comes to food. Tortilla shells is the perfect vehicle to house simple, but explosively flavorful proteins. So in order to see what their meats are all about it was a no brainer for me to go with their tacos. I appreciate how their tacos held up and didn't leak out any grease, and the protein portions were EXTREMELY generous. Below I'll break down my thoughts on each meat and what I liked and didn't like. Chicken Adobo: Chicken Adobo is slow braised chicken in soy & vinegar which is suppose to be savory, sweet, and tangy. It's then garnished with cabbage, carrots, and green onions Chicken Adobo is suppose to be a FAVORED and REVERED protein option in all Filipino households. I've had chicken adobo at least 3 or 4 times now and so far ATLEAST for my tastebuds it has never really impressed me. So I'm not sure if this is a personal dislike from me as a person or not. BUT I will say the chicken was cooked well and was super tender. Beef Steak: Their beef steak is marinated in a soy & citrus marinade. Also garnished with cabbage, carrots, green onions, and I believe fried onion or shallots. Right off the bat I could taste that citrus, and I believe it's a lemon marinade, cause it has a slight sourness to it. We all know I'm not the BIGGEST sour person when it comes to food, but it was not super off putting and I could definitely keep eating this. The beef steak was marinated super well and was explosive with flavor, the beef was extremely tender and was easy to eat which is a plus! Sisig: Sisig is pork belly cooked with onions & bell peppers. Sisig is something I've had A LOT of and I'll be honest, if you give me ANY type of pork belly I'm usually super happy with it. Their sisig was WELL seasoned and was explosive with flavor but I think one key thing is missing and it was to have a slight crisp to it. I loveeee it when my sisig has a slight crisp on the outside. I mean in general with ANY meat in a taco having a nice crisp to it always sounds heavenly. Pork Tocino: Pork Tocino is sweet cured (fermented, not sure if its done here) pork. This was my FIRST time ever having pork tocino, and I wanna make this clear right off the bat that this was my absolute favorite of the 4 protein options. Pork tocino sports that DARK RED looking color, and its got that heavenly balance of sweet & salty. This reminds me of chinese sweet & sour pork which is also red too. In a taco their pork Tocino is a flavor house. The moment you put it in your mouth you can taste the sweetness RIGHT away. This meat on its own would warrant me to come back again and again. Quesadilla Quadruple: I ordered the quesadillas with the exact same 4 meats, but It does differ a little bit so I'll talk about the experience of eating the quesadilla as a whole instead of breaking it down by meats. So first of all it's important for Quesadillas to have that CRISP on the outside, they nail that aspect right off the bat, but be warned it is STUFFED with meat so it does get soggy rather QUICKLY, but if you eat it quick you should be able to enjoy each bite with a crispy shell. The other major difference is this comes with jack cheddar cheese and that is a GAME CHANGER. I will say it is a lot more greasy than their tacos, but that doesnt bother me, but if it does for you be warned! Overall, huge shoutout to Madel for the warm welcome & coordinating my pick up I appreciate the speedy and friendliest service ever. I highly recommend everyone to try their Pork Tocino tho. Thats got me hooked, and I'm excited to come back and try it again next time, trust me you won't regret it!!!

I've encountered White Rabbit Truck before - they provided services for a post wedding rehearsal family get together way back in the day. It was only that one time, and it has been awhile, but I do remember liking their food as well as their service. Fast forward (probably) almost a decade later, I find them posted near work. And since I couldn't really remember how much I liked it back then, it was time for a reminder! I dragged a colleague with me. She went for the chicken adobo combo rice bowl and I went for the beefsteak combo rice bowl. We both went for lumpia as a side. There were a few peeps ahead of us but didn't take long for our goodies to come out. We couldn't wait to get back to our desks and devour these yummies because we were quite HANGRY! I had a taste of my friend's chicken adobo and that was ON POINT! Perfect level of salt, juicy pieces (or at least that one piece I got was!) and just downright delish. My beefsteak, though, was exactly what my palate was seeking. The tang and the salt/soy sauce level, like the chicken adobo, was also perfect. The fatty parts - small insignificant amount as it is - actually gave each bite a little bit more umami. I also like that they gave enough sauce to mix in the rice. I would have preferred the egg a bit more yolky, but eh. No biggie. Lumpia was PERFECT. There was nothing wrong with this side. FOOD: 5. Nothing wrong with what we ate. SERVICE: 5. Very little interaction, though. VALUE: 5. Not too bad for a food truck. ($12 for a main course, a side and a drink.) PARKING: N/A OVERALL: 5 Colleague and I knew our orders were too much food for us, but they were so good, we decided to just gobble it all up leaving nothing in the containers but teenee remnants of what we had just eaten. We're definitely fans! And then I remember why and how much I liked them the first time. Highly recommending! Just kinda bummed they're never really around my area, but here's hoping I run into them again without having to wait so long! I would love to give their sisig a try! Until then... kudos, White Rabbit! I hope to see you again sooooon!

The White Rabbit food truck, a long time favorite. Don't get a chance to eat their food to often, because they're all over the place, and I don't have the time to follow them. But when I'm craving their food, I look up their website and see when they're in my area. Luck has it, they were in West Covina this past weekend. Ordering is fairly easy, pick your protein, pick your choice of what you want your protein to be in, taco, burritos or bowl. Pick your side & drink, all comes out about $12 dollars for the combo. I ordered the Adobo chicken, in a burrito. Inside the burrito comes with the chicken, garlic fried rice, a fried egg and swiss cheese. Sounds weird, but taste oh so good. My side was the lumpia egg rolls. Three different types of dipping sauce, sweet chili, siracha mayo & a ranch type spinach dip. (best one) Eating here is kind of like eating home quality leftovers, so don't expect a 5 star meal. My burrito could of been bigger, but the adobo chicken was great tasting, service is fast & friendly. 4 stars from me.

    Nachos Solo with Pork
    Natalie V.

Nachos with a generous amount of toppings is just what this food truck will give you. The pork was seasoned very well and it was lovely to have enough toppings for each chip I ate! The service was really quick and I loved that I was given a generous portion for their price. Usually food trucks can be pricey but won't give you what you paid for, I can happily say this truck was awesome! I know my picture might not do it justice but they were delicious. I hope to come across this truck again :)

Recently swinged by a local brewery they were at for dinner Friday night with friends. Fantastic experience overall and authentic Filipino flavors in a different vessel. Ordered a taco trio and the sisig and beef were on point! The tocino was ok, not my preference but it was still enjoyable. Lumpia was solid and all the sauces were fire. It was perfect with the beer I had at the brewery. I can't wait to grub at this food truck next time we're both in the same neighborhood!

Wow! Just wow! I've never had Filipino food before. I didn't know what to expect. But is it appropriate to say the BBQ pork gave me mouthgasms? The White Rabbit Truck was the first of my apartment buildings weekly food trucks. The White Rabbit Truck offers a delicious menu of Filipino, American, and Mexican fusion. I ordered the taco plate combo. But I scored a bonus taco by checking in on Yelp. I was able to try all four meats. Chicken adobo, beefsteak, BBQ pork and sisig. Woohoo! The taco plate combo came with three tacos (plus the bonus taco), a choice of a side (I chose the lumpia), and a beverage. My husband ordered the chicken adobo burrito combo. The other combos are quesadilla and meat/rice bowls. The guys were friendly and our meals were completed in a short amount of time. They had a condiments table with sriracha, a sweet and sour sauce, and an orange sauce that tasted to me like aioli but I could be totally off. My fave as I said was BBQ pork. My second fave was the beefsteak and the chicken. I didn't like the sisig. I think that I COULD like the sisig if I tried it again but this time it was a little dry and I had a huge chunk the size of a small ear of meat that I could not masticate. They didn't have any dessert so I can't review any more than the actual dinner. I was hoping to have a special filipino drink but there was only Sprite, Diet Pepsi, Pepsi, and water. Not a bad thing, but I was hoping for a cool drink. All in all I really enjoyed my meal and was very happy we tried the White Rabbit.

(Dined 07/13/19 SA @ 6:30pm): If they had white rabbit on the menu, I might've tried it! I recently enjoyed a viewing of "Casablanca" during an Eat See Hear event at The Autry Museum Of The American West At Griffith Park when I had my first experience with White Rabbit Truck. Since I frequently attended, worked, or volunteered at the myriad of year-around events throughout Southern California, I was very familiar with this food truck but always found other options that called my tastebuds at the time. This time I craved Filipino food and wanted to "support my kind", so the decision was easy. Would I chase this rabbit down at the next event they appeared at!?: QUICK BIO "White Rabbit Truck is Los Angeles Original Filipino Fusion Truck. The idea started with a tight group of friends noticing the lack of Filipino cuisine in the mainstream. They experimented with various menu items for nearly one year at their home kitchen. After sampling their cuisine to hundreds of friends and family, White Rabbit Truck was born July 10, 2010. With the rise of the popularity of Filipino food, they noticed there were no places to serve true Filipino fusion food. Now, they are able to bring this medley of food to the streets where everybody can experience the goodness of a few of their favorite childhood Filipino foods, and now with an American and Mexican twist. Their mission is to introduce the masses to their take on Filipino cuisine. White Rabbit has been fortunate to be featured on multiple media outlets such as Food Network, Travel Channel, KTLA News, FOX LA News, Kababyaan18, ABS CBN, LA Weekly, Zagat, Daily News, and many local publications and blogs." PURCHASE Pork Sisig Burrito, Shanghai Pork Lumpia, & Soda Combo ($12): At a savings of $6 when purchased as a combo, you selected from four entrees, four meat types, four sides, and four drinks (four-of-a-kind!). A healthy serving of garlic fried rice, a boiled egg, shredded cheese, and a pile of pork sisig all tightly wrapped together by a large flour tortilla, there was nothing small about this burrito! The ingredients were nearly equal amounts with the garlic fried rice aromatic, buttery, and puffy, while the pork sisig was slightly spicy, tender, finely chopped, and with a hint of oil as some rolled down my chin and wrist. The boiled egg was like an odd prize... but we Flips loved eggs! I was happily stuffed and could've napped. As for the six pieces of Shanghai pork lumpia, they were crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside and were eaten quickly - yummy! And my soda of choice - Sprite, helped wash down everything. Damn, this grub was good https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=vOCXRDW4mLADAuYF9seDDg&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw! SERVICE The tiny staff that consisted of one cook and one order-taker seemed to work well together as they kept the line flowing. From the time I ordered to when I received my entree was about a 5-minute wait (below-standard); granted... there was only one other person ahead of me at the time. I grabbed my plate of food, condiments, napkins, and found a curb next to the truck where I scarfed this meal down. The cook even offered some beefsteak skewers; no complaints here! PARKING (FREE) Being a food truck, they were at the beck and call wherever the event was held. In this case, the event took place at a museum adjacent to a zoo with plenty of free parking all around. Another option was a driving service like a bus, taxi, Lyft, or Uber (no nearby Metro train station) - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE Your standard self-sufficient food truck with exterior menus, order and pick up windows, an area for condiments, napkins, and utensils, no designated seating area, and natural lighting was prevalent during the daytime while minimal electric street and truck lighting glowed at night. There were no TVs unless you considered the movie screen, but a DJ and live band played music in the background https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=n4D4FohIc96lB1f6EG53tQ&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL I would definitely go hunting for White Rabbit Truck again to try how they prepared the other meats (chicken adobo, beefsteak, BBQ pork). For the amount of food and how tasty it all was, I felt the prices were comparable if not slightly better while the service was top-notch! The menu selection was kept to a minimum as you mixed and matched. If you were looking for something on the healthy side... please step aside and walk away; they weren't about that at all. I found complete value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $12.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice...AMEX! 5.0 STARS

"Lol got it" they think it's funny that they take people money and claim to have a business in walnut but there's no such shop!!

Came back here and I love this place!!!…read more Food: DELICIOUS! We usually get the loaded tots here but we decided to add lechon kawali. I love lechon kawali and it surprisingly paired so well with the loaded tots! My partner got the pork sisig since they were out of the chicken sisig and the pork sisig was the chef's special. IT'S NO JOKE! One of my favorite sisigs yet. I've only had dry sisig so having a sisig that's a bit saucier was a burst of flavor in my mouth! I ended up getting the pancake flight with the following flavors: Nutella, Mango, & Ube oreo. It was so good, I love how the pancake didn't sog the pancakes up! Service: Amazing! A nice man helped us out and was our server. He is the one that recommended the pork sisig to us and mentioned to me about the pancake flight for an extra $5. He said the mango pancake was his favorite and I wanted to try it so I'm glad I did! It ended up being me and my partner's favorite one. Shoutout to him! Ambiance: Love the aesthetic here! It gives classic filipino restaurant and I love how they highlight their grandma, hence Lola's. Overall, love it here and am a returning customer :)

We got: - Silog breakfast bowl with lechon kawali (aka crispy pork belly): the pork was very crispy. I love the fatty part when u bite it it's crispy outside and chewy inside. - Salmon belly sisig: served on a sizzling plate and with some eggs mixed with it. We ordered ahi tuna sisig but they didn't have it so we opted for salmon belly. It has the citrusy flavor to it so I feel like ahi tuna would've tasted better, but this dish is still very delicious regardless. It was very addicting with the garlic rice too. Dont get it if you're not into sour food. - Oreo ube pancake: texture was different than American pancake. It was more bouncy which is more common in southeast asian cake (like a crumpet texture) and the ube sauce was perfect (not too sweet).

We ordered the tipid package (included large pata, kare kare without oxtail, an appetizer, rice, and your choice of pancit bihon or pancit canton) and kenchi steak. We got lumpiang Shanghai (mini egg rolls with ground pork and shrimp) and a mix of bihon and canton. Most items serve three to four people, so come with a hungry party and prepare to take leftovers home. The crispy pata (a deep-fried pork knuckle) had a lot of flavorful and juicy meat. While this dish is inherently fatty, there is still meat to cut off. The kare kare (beef chunks, tripe, and vegetables with a braised peanut gravy) tasted good. The rich flavor was also influenced by vegetables, such as eggplants and long beans. Some of the beef chunks were a little fatty. The lumpiang Shanghai arrived late into our lunch because we had to follow up with our server. While they currently charge $23 just for this appetizer, the portion size was much too small. It seems that with this specific package, you'd get a smaller appetizer portion. The bihon (thin rice noodles) and canton (thick egg noodles) pancit mix tasted adequate, and we had no complaints. I enjoyed the kenchi steak the most. This dish is beef shin topped with bone marrow served on a sizzling plate with gravy and vegetables. The beef had a thick texture, and the potatoes tasted soft and lovely. It was filling and noticeably better than the items in the tipid package in my opinion. Lastly, even though we visited around noon, they unfortunately didn't have halo-halo (a Filipino milky shaved ice with fruits and preserves) available as a dessert. At the end of the day, this is a solid restaurant with large portions and well-seasoned flavors. I definitely see why it's a family favorite for many.

It tasted like a "healthy" version of Filipino food. Still, my 83 year old Filipino Grandmother (who's now averse to too much seasoning) genuinely enjoyed this modern interpretation of pansit. I arrived at Almuchow (West Covina) on Sunday (around 3:16PM). Parking is easy. The lot is big. Surprisingly, Almuchow (West Covina) had taken over the old location of Bistro Filipino. Almuchow (West Covina) had relocated to this new spot in late December. Staff is very professional, welcoming and friendly. Staff works hard. I observed how Staff worked nonstop throughout my visit. My food took 14 minutes and five seconds. Good time! As mentioned, the Longsilog ($15) and Pansit Mix ($16) appears beautiful. Although it lacks the usual saltiness & oiliness of traditional Filipino food, it felt health conscious with comforting textures. The ingredients tasted clean. The Longsilog's sausage had the familiar sweetness of the Longanisa, but it felt more comparable to a meatball/meatloaf version. The Pansit also had the wetness and length of the usual dish, but it tasted muted. Still, the food felt well-intentioned and filling. Regarding ambiance, Almuchow (West Covina) is spacious, clean, and welcoming. I appreciated how Filipino music played on its speakers. The flat screen TVs even showed filipino musicians. There's also plenty of tables and a gender neutral restroom. Overall, I had a good experience at Almuchow (West Covina). The food is a good option for customers looking for a modern twist on filipino classics. If curious and nearby, it's a decent option. 4.5 out of 5

Overall, everything was extremely salty and flavors were meh. Don't eat here if you have high blood pressure. Ended up taking most of it home and doctoring to make it edible. 1) Sinigang baka: Salty!!!! Not sour or tangy at all. Just....salt. And beef was tough and dry (yes, even in a soup it was dry). Took home, added water to dilute the broth, more veggies and meat, and a bit from a sampalok packet. Wound up with nearly twice as much soup. 2) Bbq pork skewers: Dry and tough. Can't imagine how dry the chicken would have been. My son, home from college, was looking forward to some good Filipino food and he didn't even finish one skewer. One bite and he said it was so dry. Brought all of it home but can't figure out how to fix it. 3) Sizzling pusit: Salty!!! So, so salty. 4) Palabok: So saucy. I don't think I've ever had palabok with so much sauce? And thin rice noodles. We were all confused and this is still sitting in the fridge untouched. 5) Lumpiang Shanghai: Probably the most palatable thing on the table besides the rice. Flavor was just ok and sweet chili sauce was runny. 6) Kare kare: This is my favorite dish and I was so disappointed. Beef was tough and dry. Surprisingly, not salty lol, but no discernible peanut flavor. Took home, added more peanut butter, broth, oxtail, more veggies. Served with the sweeter bagoong. Again, ended up with twice as much as the original order.

They're usually crowded during weekends, so this definitely was an off-peak time. I didn't expect such a quiet ambience. We ordered the family special ($69), which included pinaputok na bangus (milkfish), inihaw na tahong (half-shelled mussels), inihaw na pusit (grilled squid), and pork and chicken barbecue skewers. The platter also came with a grilled tomato, vinegar dip with siling labuyo (chili peppers), and barbecue sauce. Unfortunately, rice isn't included in the family special. We made separate orders for garlic fried rice ($9.50) and lumpiang sariwa (fresh spring rolls) ($12). For the large amount of food we ordered, it came out of the kitchen a little quicker than expected. The milkfish was nicely seasoned and grilled, and I enjoyed the chicken barbecue skewers the most. While I don't enjoy grilled squid and mussels, my family seemed to like them. For its price, the portion size of the lumpiang sariwa wasn't as big as I expected; we finished it pretty quickly. However, we had a lot of leftovers from the family special. Our server, Nesty, was friendly and kept us company before we got our food. He made sure that we got all our belongings before we left because it was closing time. Just out of kindness and generosity, he gave us a complimentary takeout box of garlic fried rice. Service is a strength at this restaurant.

We paired our meals with refreshing sago't gulaman, made with tapioca pearls, sweet syrup, and Filipino-style gelatin. It was the perfect sweet, icy finish. It's a large-ish space, and I guess kind of like a sit-down place (not "turo-turo/cafeteria style like some Filipino joints), with a ton of Filipino snacks on the counter. Plenty of seats that have seen better days. A portion of the restaurant is covered in plastic to house some construction equipment ? I asked for the pork sisig ala carte and decided to add an order of kalderetang kambing and 2c of rice. Big mistake buying more than one entree when you are taking it home and have no clue how their food tastes. I trusted Yelp too much. . Sisig had a 1:1 ratio of meat to bell peppers. I also couldn't help but feel lile the peppers were undercooked, even raw. Maybe that was their style, but I also disliked the mayo on top. Now the kalderetang kambing had a strange fishy (gamey) smell in the car. When I tried it at home, the meat looked so red and tasted way too sweet, not at all like the Kalderetas I'm used to back home. The meat was falling off the bone soft though. This is my problem with Filipino restaurants in the US - if they can't make dishes better tasting than what I make at home (i rarely cook but im a good eater), I cannot rate them high at all. I've eaten too much Filipino food in my life to know what tastes good. I feel bad because the folks who work here/(owners?) are pretty nice and they were working on Valentines. But the current rating they have is misleading. If you're going for the big entrees like I did, and are used to Gerry's Grill type sisig, prepare to be disappointed. Yelp, you did not come thru for me this time.
