Filipino food truck? Say less. The couple working the truck (the owners, I assume) are very sweet and friendly. Even when busy, they keep the atmosphere light and lively. Service is incredibly fast. They have a small bar attached to the truck that you can stand and eat at if there's room. Not too extensive of a menu, which I actually appreciate. What they do offer is a good variety of proteins, sides, and meal types (bowl, burrito, taco). The food comes out piping hot and is full of classic flavors. Nothing felt too greasy. Some garlic rice can be too potent for my taste, but theirs is delicious. Highly recommend the beef steak and chicken adobo rice bowls! Prices are fair to slightly expensive, depending on what protein and meal type you order. 10/10 would love to eat here again. Will be keeping an eye out for them! read more

I've finally had a chance to try a majority of their menu and can I just say... I LOVE THE WHITE RABBIT TRUCK SO MUCH!! When it comes to putting Filipino fusion food on the map, The White Rabbit truck is OG!!! I've been following this truck's success since they opened back in 2010 and am so proud of the way they've helped shine a spotlight on Filipino cuisine! I was lucky enough to catch them in Cerritos and ordered tons of food to feed my big ole Filipino family. First off, their customer service is wonderful! Maddie was so sweet and kind! We ended up ordering 13 entrees and they were able to get us our food in a pretty short wait. My family tried a mix of basically every entree and every meat! My favorite entrees are the Burritos and Quesadillas because of the cheese. I think the addition of cheese gives the food an extra delicious oomph (plus I just love cheese). The portions are also HUGE! My uncles were able to finish an entire entree, but I only ate half a burrito. My aunts split entrees too and were not able to finish everything. But this is great because it meant leftovers! WOOHOO! Secondly, at ~$10/entree, this food is definitely fairly priced (especially for a food truck)! I tried all the meats and they were all really good! I think everyone will have their own favorite meat choice depending on their taste preferences. The beef steak is meaty, salty, and garlicky. The chicken adobo is lighter but still nice and savory. The sisig is fatty and acidic, with a subtle layer of spice. And the tocino is deliciously sweet and salty. If you're looking for something lighter but still flavorful, go with chicken adobo! If you want something savory, go beef steak! If you want something sweet, go tocino! And if you want something with a little heat, go sisig! Depending on my mood for the day, I would either choose tocino or sisig. And now for the biggest compliment of all.. my entire family loved the food! My titas (aunts) and my mom have pretty high standards. My family is from Pampanga, Philippines and Kapampangans are known to be great cooks (which they are). Additionally, we are quite picky about Sisig since it originated from Pampanga! And all my titas agreed...this sisig was good! All the other meats were great too. Wow,amazing food. We found them via IG. We noticed they were asked in the OC maybe 5miles away. So off we started to head over while I reviewed their IG pics. WOW,very authentic food. Upon arrival seen 10 people waiting and a few in their cars. So given that it had been raining all morning I figured it be slow. Heck no!! We waited few minutes to order and 23minutes for food. So not too bad,but it was brrr cold. I have to say,I want you back in OC,Buena Park Ca and I will be happy to support your business. By far,best Filipino food we've had in a very long time. Maybe time for a permanent location at the OC swapmeet. Just a thought. Was so excited to try the food again, it's been some years since I've had them. They're a really established food truck. I think prior to my latest visit, I had them like 2 other times in the span of 10 years. I went to the actual brick and mortar in Northridge. I'll be honest, I didn't remember my past visits as being very memorable. I think they tasted good! Anyway, they came out to SCV. So I ordered the pork sisig burrito with garlic fried rice and egg, beefsteak taco, lumpia and a new item: chicken inasal with fries and okoy. We were about, second in line to order. When I asked for the inasal, the girl asked the cook(s), if they could serve that. Imo, if they weren't planning on serving it, then they should've crossed it out before putting out their menu for the day. And when I finally chowed down on the food, the inasal they gave me had been too hot and burned through the styrofoam. I asked for garlic fries, they gave me regular fries. Also, no okoy. The chicken at least was good, but there's definitely that styrofoam contamination. The pork sisig was ok. I wasn't even sure that they put garlic rice in my burrito, seemed like regular white rice but it was a very subtle garlic taste. There were some hard bits in the sisig. But their version was supposed to be just pork belly. I think this time it was actual sisig since I often bit into something hard (ie. pork ear cartilage). The beefsteak was seasoned well though. Very good. I only got the taco, but I wish I had gotten that instead as a burrito. The lumpia shanghai was really tasty too even though I had to re-airfry them. I guess my initial visits were right the first time, they're ok. Execution was not good however, and I expected more out of that since they've been a long time food truck. I'm bummed! read more

Review of my experience with White Rabbit Truck on 10/24/21 If you've been searching for Filipino food, White Rabbit's Filipino Fusion Food Truck is that place you need to check out. The White Rabbit Food Truck has continued its operation since July 10, 2010. While authentic Filipino food has been said from many people that it's best enjoyed at a Filipino friends home, at White Rabbit they serve a Fusion style of food with enough of a difference to knock you off your feet with an American and Mexican twist to their Filipino cuisine. I believe Filipino cuisine is super obscure even in todays world, and I love how at White Rabbit Truck their goal is to introduce the huge diverse population of Socal on their take of Filipino cuisine while trying to keep it familiar with American & Mexican influences. Even for a foodie such as myself who isn't Filipino, I can openly admit that Filipino food is something I have only had maybe 4 or 5 times now and I am SEVERELY Lacking the palette for Filipino cuisine due to my inexperience with handling their food. For presentation purposes I asked Madel if it was possible for me to get 4 of their tacos & 4 of their Quesadillas so I can try each of their meat options. BUT normally you'd be getting them in pairs of 3 FYI! Tacos Quadruple: Knowing me, tacos is one of my biggest love when it comes to food. Tortilla shells is the perfect vehicle to house simple, but explosively flavorful proteins. So in order to see what their meats are all about it was a no brainer for me to go with their tacos. I appreciate how their tacos held up and didn't leak out any grease, and the protein portions were EXTREMELY generous. Below I'll break down my thoughts on each meat and what I liked and didn't like. Chicken Adobo: Chicken Adobo is slow braised chicken in soy & vinegar which is suppose to be savory, sweet, and tangy. It's then garnished with cabbage, carrots, and green onions Chicken Adobo is suppose to be a FAVORED and REVERED protein option in all Filipino households. I've had chicken adobo at least 3 or 4 times now and so far ATLEAST for my tastebuds it has never really impressed me. So I'm not sure if this is a personal dislike from me as a person or not. BUT I will say the chicken was cooked well and was super tender. Beef Steak: Their beef steak is marinated in a soy & citrus marinade. Also garnished with cabbage, carrots, green onions, and I believe fried onion or shallots. Right off the bat I could taste that citrus, and I believe it's a lemon marinade, cause it has a slight sourness to it. We all know I'm not the BIGGEST sour person when it comes to food, but it was not super off putting and I could definitely keep eating this. The beef steak was marinated super well and was explosive with flavor, the beef was extremely tender and was easy to eat which is a plus! Sisig: Sisig is pork belly cooked with onions & bell peppers. Sisig is something I've had A LOT of and I'll be honest, if you give me ANY type of pork belly I'm usually super happy with it. Their sisig was WELL seasoned and was explosive with flavor but I think one key thing is missing and it was to have a slight crisp to it. I loveeee it when my sisig has a slight crisp on the outside. I mean in general with ANY meat in a taco having a nice crisp to it always sounds heavenly. Pork Tocino: Pork Tocino is sweet cured (fermented, not sure if its done here) pork. This was my FIRST time ever having pork tocino, and I wanna make this clear right off the bat that this was my absolute favorite of the 4 protein options. Pork tocino sports that DARK RED looking color, and its got that heavenly balance of sweet & salty. This reminds me of chinese sweet & sour pork which is also red too. In a taco their pork Tocino is a flavor house. The moment you put it in your mouth you can taste the sweetness RIGHT away. This meat on its own would warrant me to come back again and again. Quesadilla Quadruple: I ordered the quesadillas with the exact same 4 meats, but It does differ a little bit so I'll talk about the experience of eating the quesadilla as a whole instead of breaking it down by meats. So first of all it's important for Quesadillas to have that CRISP on the outside, they nail that aspect right off the bat, but be warned it is STUFFED with meat so it does get soggy rather QUICKLY, but if you eat it quick you should be able to enjoy each bite with a crispy shell. The other major difference is this comes with jack cheddar cheese and that is a GAME CHANGER. I will say it is a lot more greasy than their tacos, but that doesnt bother me, but if it does for you be warned! Overall, huge shoutout to Madel for the warm welcome & coordinating my pick up I appreciate the speedy and friendliest service ever. I highly recommend everyone to try their Pork Tocino tho. Thats got me hooked, and I'm excited to come back and try it again next time, trust me you won't regret it!!! read more

I've encountered White Rabbit Truck before - they provided services for a post wedding rehearsal family get together way back in the day. It was only that one time, and it has been awhile, but I do remember liking their food as well as their service. Fast forward (probably) almost a decade later, I find them posted near work. And since I couldn't really remember how much I liked it back then, it was time for a reminder! I dragged a colleague with me. She went for the chicken adobo combo rice bowl and I went for the beefsteak combo rice bowl. We both went for lumpia as a side. There were a few peeps ahead of us but didn't take long for our goodies to come out. We couldn't wait to get back to our desks and devour these yummies because we were quite HANGRY! I had a taste of my friend's chicken adobo and that was ON POINT! Perfect level of salt, juicy pieces (or at least that one piece I got was!) and just downright delish. My beefsteak, though, was exactly what my palate was seeking. The tang and the salt/soy sauce level, like the chicken adobo, was also perfect. The fatty parts - small insignificant amount as it is - actually gave each bite a little bit more umami. I also like that they gave enough sauce to mix in the rice. I would have preferred the egg a bit more yolky, but eh. No biggie. Lumpia was PERFECT. There was nothing wrong with this side. FOOD: 5. Nothing wrong with what we ate. SERVICE: 5. Very little interaction, though. VALUE: 5. Not too bad for a food truck. ($12 for a main course, a side and a drink.) PARKING: N/A OVERALL: 5 Colleague and I knew our orders were too much food for us, but they were so good, we decided to just gobble it all up leaving nothing in the containers but teenee remnants of what we had just eaten. The White Rabbit food truck, a long time favorite. Don't get a chance to eat their food to often, because they're all over the place, and I don't have the time to follow them. But when I'm craving their food, I look up their website and see when they're in my area. Luck has it, they were in West Covina this past weekend. Ordering is fairly easy, pick your protein, pick your choice of what you want your protein to be in, taco, burritos or bowl. Pick your side & drink, all comes out about $12 dollars for the combo. I ordered the Adobo chicken, in a burrito. Inside the burrito comes with the chicken, garlic fried rice, a fried egg and swiss cheese. Sounds weird, but taste oh so good. My side was the lumpia egg rolls. Three different types of dipping sauce, sweet chili, siracha mayo & a ranch type spinach dip. (best one) Eating here is kind of like eating home quality leftovers, so don't expect a 5 star meal. My burrito could of been bigger, but the adobo chicken was great tasting, service is fast & friendly. 4 stars from me. read more

Nachos with a generous amount of toppings is just what this food truck will give you. The pork was seasoned very well and it was lovely to have enough toppings for each chip I ate! The service was really quick and I loved that I was given a generous portion for their price. Wow! Just wow! I've never had Filipino food before. I didn't know what to expect. But is it appropriate to say the BBQ pork gave me mouthgasms? The White Rabbit Truck was the first of my apartment buildings weekly food trucks. The White Rabbit Truck offers a delicious menu of Filipino, American, and Mexican fusion. I ordered the taco plate combo. But I scored a bonus taco by checking in on Yelp. I was able to try all four meats. Chicken adobo, beefsteak, BBQ pork and sisig. Woohoo! The taco plate combo came with three tacos (plus the bonus taco), a choice of a side (I chose the lumpia), and a beverage. My husband ordered the chicken adobo burrito combo. The other combos are quesadilla and meat/rice bowls. The guys were friendly and our meals were completed in a short amount of time. They had a condiments table with sriracha, a sweet and sour sauce, and an orange sauce that tasted to me like aioli but I could be totally off. My fave as I said was BBQ pork. My second fave was the beefsteak and the chicken. I didn't like the sisig. I think that I COULD like the sisig if I tried it again but this time it was a little dry and I had a huge chunk the size of a small ear of meat that I could not masticate. They didn't have any dessert so I can't review any more than the actual dinner. I was hoping to have a special filipino drink but there was only Sprite, Diet Pepsi, Pepsi, and water. I really don't know how anyone can think this place is amazing. I had been following this White Rabbit's Instagram account for awhile now and finally decided to give them a try. Unfortunately, it was disappointment all around. I opted for the pork bbq (tocino) with the egg roll side and got a free sisig taco with the Yelp check-in. My plan was to eat it in the car but they had wrapped all the food so poorly that the grease got everywhere - on my hands, on my car seat and my center console. So at this point I was pretty pissed. But thought whatever, I'll just try the food and if it's good then maybe it'll be worth it. Nope. The sisig and the tocino tasted like day old leftovers. I can buy frozen tocino from the Filipino market and make it at home and it tastes way better. The sisig was nestled in two corn tortillas with nothing else on top. Unremarkable to say the least. The garlic rice and egg were not good either. To add insult to injury the Diet Coke they gave me wasn't even cold, it was room temperature. The only decent thing was the lumpia side. Obviously this food is very unhealthy but you don't come to these food trucks expecting to eat clean. Well, if I'm going to eat unhealthy food I at least want it to be worth the calories and actually taste good and I certainly didn't get that here. I saw this truck at the 626NightMarket this year. There was a long line but it was definitely worth the wait. When you come to a huge night market you are definitely going to wait for your food haha. The service was fantastic! The cashier made sure to answer all of my questions even help me decide what I should get which I ended up with a taco trio to taste all of the protein they offer which is Chicken, Beef, Sisig and Tocino. We visited the truck in Carson today. Ordered food and were told that it's a 15-20 minute wait. We waited almost one hour, that was not a great experience and subsequently regardless if the food was good or not, this left a bad taste. We don't plan to go back to ordering from this truck simply because staff could have told us that the wait was long before we ordered. That was a deceptive way to get us to order and be stuck. You should know that this is a regular thing because others told me they were waiting over one hour. 5/4/2021-update I would like to address management comments and clarify why they are false. We arrived at the location where another truck was parked next to the White Rabbit. There were many people waiting around but we did not know who was waiting for this particular truck. There were also other vendors so it was impossible to tell. There was no line at the order window . Again, looks like it is not such a horrific wait. Upon ordering we were told 15-20 minutes. Management. One yes that truck crew had already taken many large orders. They never advised that it's taking longer, that's what my original review said. Was this deceptive. The crew knew that they are behind. The crew knew that many large orders are ahead of ours. The crew knew that other customers were coming up to the window and asking why it's taking 50 minutes to one hour. Not telling customers that there is a significant delay, 1 hour, is deceptive because if they advise of the delay, some customers may chose not to wait. Reading other reviews, the delays are regular while management makes excuses. New cashier, lots of orders. This is regular and the attempt to make excuses is Bad Business. Who knows if they make excuses for bad service will they make excuses for unsafe improperly cooked food or will this establishment disregard anything that points to a problem. I tried their fusion taco, burrito, and fries. My favorite would have to be the beef steak burrito! It was well-marinated, savory, and very filling--I gobbled it up! I reached out to them directly and they gave me an attitude. This happened once in the past, they let you place an order online and take your money and they have a fake shop in walnut that I drove to and it doesn't even exist. Say what?! White rabbit truck was in front of my work! Well since I don't see food trucks often by my work, I must try it. White rabbit truck specializes in fusion Filipino food. They have the typical Filipino dishes but instead of serving over rice (which is available), they stuff the food inside a burrito or a taco as well. I got a combo burrito with pork sisig and lumpia on the side. I also got a chicken adobo taco. Their lumpia was pretty small but fried well. Bite size made it easy to snack on and added some texture change from the burrito I ordered. As part of the combo, this side was the best to order. The taco was OK. The chicken seemed a tad too sweet and needed a little bit more vinegar to me. The major issue was the sauce from adobo. My taco was drenched and I made a big mess when I was eating it. Slave girl would probably told me that was a personal problem... As for the burrito, I couldn't say I was a fan. It came with pork sisig, garlic rice, fried egg, and cheese. The pork sisig had good flavor but garlic rice was a total fail. For some strange reason, garlic rice was mushier than steam rice, and because of that, the texture of the burrito bite was semi gross. From time to time, though not frequent, you may see this truck in North OC via Fullerton truck squad rally happening every Fridays at 5:30pm. If you see em go get you some sigsig: that's shredded roast pork with all the goodie bark, fat and gristle, salty, garlicky, just plain f'n delicious. They usually serve this protein with a side of fried, runny egg and garlic rice so good it'll make you slap yo mama. I had mine in burrito form. Maddie, if you can't look at my pictures of our food, and see that it was not prepared properly, I don't know what to tell you. As far as " free food" goes, that's pretty laughable. I originally contacted you to express my concern as to how unorganized your crew was that early evening. The food was poor quality and not cooked properly, unless this is your new norm?‍ I soooo, soooo wish I could give them a 5 review! I've eaten White Rabbit several times. I use to drive 30 min to the restaurant and go to the truck when it was a reasonable distance. With that said, it's been about a year of craving this food! Finally they were within 30 min so yay! I contacted them, asking if I could preorder my food, they said sure! Awesome, right? WRONG! We get there and there's two people in front of us. It literally took them 25 min to just take the two orders. Then we get to the window, let the man( who clearly has no idea what's going on) know that we preordered and that was a whole confusing ordeal. We finally get our food, that was missing an order of lumpia and 3 sodas. Get home, open the delicious food I've been craving for the past year and it's crap! The White Rabbit Truck is like a Filipino teacher on wheels. I learned a few new Tagalog words, and a new phrase, "Pork Sisig Burrito", which is now ingrained in my memory banks, like FOREVER. Sure, a lot of Filipinos have origins/roots from Spain, but Mexico -- I didn't know! Somehow, the fusion of flavors was quite wonderful. Peeps - I totally recommend a "Pork Sisig Burrito", it's crazy good. Made with chopped pork belly, rice, onion, and egg...add some sriracha hot sauce, and bam! You got something special. I was so looking forward to trying this truck. A friend was in town a couple of weeks ago and she mentioned that she was planning to go to their restaurant during her visit. I hadn't heard of the White Rabbit but when I saw that the truck was going to be at the Westwood Food Truck Lot, I headed over to check them out. I wanted to try several of the meats that they offer. So, I ordered the three taco deal for $5.50 and I asked the guy in the truck to give me their three best meats. He chose the beefsteak, pork tocino and chicken adobo. I've had chicken adobo a couple of times, but the beefsteak and pork tocino were new to me. The three tacos were ready in about 5 minutes, which was just enough time for me to order a little something from another truck! The tacos were small, but filled with meat and they were all topped with slaw. I tasted the beefsteak first and the meat was so dry. I put it down and tried the pork, which was sweet and tasty, but also too dry, hard and difficult to chew. The chicken was the least dry of the three meats and it had a good flavor but the chunks of chicken were far from tender. Based on what I tried, I wouldn't return to the truck. I can only wonder if the pork sisig would've been better (although the guy in the truck said that he only eats the pork tocino). This truck needs to figure out how to get their meat juicy and tender and they should vary the toppings on the tacos as the slaw got a bit mundane by the second taco. read more

The low...Red Velvet Cake with Flan - For one, the red velvet cake tasted "off" to me, i'm not quite sure, but it just didn't taste like red velvet cake. The flan, which sat atop the cake was very dense and not smooth and creamy like most flans I've had in the past. In addition, the combination of the cake with the flan resulted in a mushy texture that was not at all appealing. At $4 for a 2" sq. cake I didn't really like, I felt a bit cheated. I took a bite of the Tocino taco, and I forgot all about my date with beefsteak. That one bite I was hooked. The 2nd bite I was lined and the third bite, it was over. I LOVE ToCINO!!!! Just to be sure I ate the Sisig taco too. It was good, not as good as my new love Tocino, but good enough to eat when Tocino leaves me. @WhiteRabbitTruk is the first Filipino food truck I've ever tried. I've been to several events where there have been Filipino food trucks but I've never actually tried one. I've always been quite curious to try one out and so when my coworkers told me they were going to go check White Rabbit out, I came along. I was looking for the sisig fries but did not see it and so I went with getting a sisig burrito instead. I would have gotten a bowl but the bowl came with two scoops of rice and a choice of meat and I wanted something with fried egg. The burrito came with garlic rice, fried egg and cheese. The burrito is $6.50. I also was super intrigued to see they had macarons! I've become a macaron fan just recently and so I was curious to see how they did macarons- Filipino style. I got some ube macarons. You can get 3 macarons for $4. (This is a pretty good price because it comes out to be $1.30 each- cheaper than other places). Here are my thoughts on the food: The sisig burrito was served nice and hot. The pork sisig was nice and crispy. It was definitely on the spicy side. I could definitely taste more of the jalapenos versus the onions. I liked the burrito but I found that there was more garlic rice than anything else. There was not much cheese and the pork sisig seemed to be more on top and bottom of the burrito. A better ratio would have been nice. More pork sisig next time please :). The macarons was what made this trip oh so wonderful. I shared the macarons with my mom and we were both a fan. You could taste the ube and I loved that the filling was macapuno or Filipino coconut! These were really great! Because of the yummy macarons, I make the White Rabbit truck a 4 star place! Next time I see White Rabbit Truck, I would love to be able to get more macarons. I'm about 3.5 years overdue on trying this truck. Despite some missteps, it was worth the wait. White Rabbit Truck was one of the trucks that I recall seeing at my first Las Vegas Foodie Fest. I didn't try them due to a friend's negative impression, and I didn't get around to checking out their attempt at a brick-and-mortar in Las Vegas's Chinatown before that also went belly-up. But they've come back to the latest incarnation of what's now the Great American Foodie Fest, and I was running out of non-local trucks that I hadn't already tried. So in the final hour of the event, I chose White Rabbit. I wanted to sample a variety from this truck, so I ordered three tacos ($10) and chose the pork sisig, chicken adobo, and beefsteak. That pork sisig was kinda flavorful, but it's a disgrace to meat because of how tough and dry it was. I'll have to try it at a real restaurant to change my first impression. And all I got on it was the meat. I'm not sure if it's assumed that the onions and jalapeños carry the day, but this taco didn't even have the pickled slaw that was so nice on the other tacos. The chicken adobo was quite good. I didn't even hate the chicken, which I usually do on tacos. It was seasoned well and moist. Plus, the portion was good compared to the pork sisig taco. However, the real star was the beefsteak taco, which was truly loaded with tender, flavorful meat and that pickled slaw. If I'd only had three of these, I would've been super happy. It would've even been a good value even considering the pricing - which I might add looks like their "normal" price and not marked up for Foodie Fest. I'm going to get beefsteak and more beefsteak the next time White Rabbit comes to town, and perhaps I'll try the pork BBQ. I finally got to try a truck that serves food very close to my heart, and that's Filipino cuisine. Word gets around fast among Filipinos when it comes to food...good or bad. In this case, it was a mix of both. Some say it's alright, some say it's good, some say don't bother. I just had to try it myself and make my own judgement. I went with their PORK SISIG BURRITO. This came with egg, garlic fried rice, and sisig. As I took the first bite, I was pleasantly surprised by how much meat there was. It was exploding with flavors. Savory with a touch of acid, it was super tasty. There's no better way to eat sisig but with egg and garlic rice so I was happy that they didn't make it into something else or add other things in there. The tortilla wrap for me is a nice twist to what I am accustomed to. Only complaint I have is that the rice could be more fried and dry. It was too soft and mushy. The texture made everything overwhelming after a while. For $7, this burrito is very filling. Good value. From the ravings on Yelp, I was excited to try their WHITE CHOCOLATE CHAMPORADO. The smell and the looks of it was hyping it up more for me but it all ended there. After having a taste, I thought the flavors didn't work at all. 3 more bites and my opinion remains the same. I left it in the fridge and a day later plus 45 seconds in the microwave, it tasted so much better. Word of the wise, eat it only when it's warm. It's nothing out of this world delicious but it's pretty good. $4 It says "excuse our Filipino time" on their menu board so I expected my burrito to take a while. Happy to say that it came out rather quickly. Friendly and quick service. Not bad! The verdict? It's A-OK. This truck was part of our line up for "food truck week" at my company and immediately had the longest line out of all 5 trucks the day they came. Being true to the Filipino spirit, they did open 15 minutes later than they were scheduled. When the windows opened, Nirvana & the Cranberries were blasting on the speakers. ORDERED (for 2 people): Chicken Adobo tacos (3) Beefsteak tacos (3) Lumpia (6) *more like 3 cut in half to make 6 pieces* Pepsi ==================== TOTAL $12.00 I thought the chicken & beef were OK, but both were on the salty side. Each individual taco had 2 mini tortillas and the meat is chopped up. The lumpia came in a little Chinese carton and when I looked inside, I was a bit disappointed. The order size is fairly small, some were burnt, but the pork inside was still tasty. Overall, I was still satisfied with the food. I shared it with a friend. I wouldn't follow the truck around or anything, but if they were to come to ME... yea I'd think about ordering from it again. read more

I remember when WRT had their own brick and mortar on Winnetka. I remember their burritos being pretty decent. A recent visit has me rethinking this whole Filipino Mexican fusion. This is definitely not what I'm looking for. They have, for the most part, got the Filipino side of the fusion down--I like their sisig and adobo, tho it is a little dry. I'm a Filipino married to a Mexican...me and my wife agree on this: What they don't have is the Mexican side up to par. This is at best Filipino-Tex-Mex fusion. At worst, Filipino-TacoBell fusion. The flavors on the Mexican side of the fusion are pretty Americanized. Here are some examples of what I'm talking about: Chips: standard Smart and Final Corn Rounds instead of authentic fried tortillas Cheese: tasted like premade nacho cheese (not even queso dip) instead of real Mexican cheeses like Oaxacan or Queso fresco --- heck even real Mozzarella or Cheddar Shreds are welcome Chili: tasted very much like canned chili - slightly sweet and zesty like you'd have at a high school football game. Tortillas for tacos: flour mission-style tortillas, not warmed on a comal (hot flat grill). And...BEANS THEY ARE MISSING BEANS!!!!!! What about salsas? Surely you can do some traditional Mexican salsas and even offer some Suka (spiced Vinegar) Don't get me wrong, it's decent for what it is--but if you're looking for a good fusion of authentic pinoy and authentic mex, this isn't it. Best chicken adobo burrito I have ever had. For 12 dollars on the combo you get these delicious egg rolls and a drink. It's a steal but the taste and the quality will sell you over all. I didn't know if I would have this amazing experience today but for what it's worth it was better than I ever imagined and especially for a food truck I've never tried before. The guy at the window isn't really professional. A lot of food trucks I passed on Wilshire usually had someone ready to assist at the window. I don't know his name but he was just staring at his phone the whole time didn't really smile or anything. Anyways besides the lack of interaction the food itself is pretty good. The garlic rice could've used a tad more salt but it was still a good addition to my meats. The chicken was slightly sweet and tender 7.5/10. The beef had pretty good flavor but some un chewable parts 7/10. The pork was the sweetest of the bunch but not overly sweet and balanced 8/10. The fried pork belly was a lot tougher than expected I'd dare say it was slightly over cooked? Had high expectations for this and I was a little disappointed. For ten bucks I got a solid amount of food but the service could be more customer friendly. read more
