At first, I thought it would be like other B&Bs we've stayed at in times past: a Victorian house with many guests, packaged snacks and a packaged breakfast from a microwave. I. Was. Wrong. The owners, Patricia and Ralph, greeted us upon arrival ready to take our bags from the car. (We packed light, so there was no need). We were given an in-depth tour of the house along with the histor; it is an incredible story. The B&B is very spacious and cozy throughout the house. There is plenty of room for you to relax, stretch out, read a book in solitude or lounge. We stayed in the Hickory room which was very clean and comfortable. Sweet Tea B&B has a well stocked pantry if you have a craving for something. To end the visit, Ralph made homemade eclairs, blueberry muffins and French toast (bread was homemade too). This is as traditional as a B&B gets. Patricia and Ralph are incredible hosts. They take hosting to an unbeatable level with impeccable detail to every part of your stay. They keep the grounds in top condition so you can enjoy your stay in comfort. If you're traveling to/thru Catawba, try and get a night at Sweet Tea B&B

Rooms were very clean and bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was made to order with fresh vegetables and herbs from their garden, homemade muffins, eclairs and breads all very good. Complimentary local made goats milk soap for the bath, water bottles, sweets, fruits, drinks and many other snacks. We have been twice and  thoroughly enjoyed our stay both times.

Pat & Tom, the owners were personable and informative about the area and the B&B. Although transplants themselves you can appreciate their knowledge of the area and know that this is home for them now. Eight rooms, each with their own bathroom and unique personality. Our room, a 1st floor spacious bedroom with a queen bed & twin day bed and trundle. Enough room for 3-4 comfortably. Modest bathroom with built in storage shelves, sink, toilet and vintage claw foot tub with a modern shower head. Breakfast at B&Bs are one of the highlights of the stay. Here was no different. To start, Greek yogurt with honey, fresh diced fruit (apples & oranges), and warm zucchini bread. Followed by a vegetable omelette, sliced strawberries, roasted potatoes and tomatoes. Seasoned to taste, appetizing and filling. Drink options varied from coffee, tea and juices. Charming B&B that I would recommend if you want to stay in a home-style environment with personal attention, great conversation, snacks, drinks and above par b/fast to fill you up.

Not only is the house full of snacks, Pam is HYSTERICALLY funny. I've stayed here twice, and it has been a delight every time!! Breaksfast rocks!!... even though it is a big change from what I would ever normally eat. The house is clean and the decor is charming. Free wireless internet access too! I would take the Kerr House any day over a hotel.

We were exhausted after a long journey and they went above and beyond by helping us carry our our heavy luggage up the stairs to our room. The room was warm, inviting, and much larger than we expected. Fresh homemade Toffee cake was waiting in our room. The bed and breakfast really feels like a home and we were truly their guests rather than a business. Breakfast for each of our three mornings was new and different. We especially loved the lemon ricotta pancakes with the raspberry compote and fresh squeezed orange juice. One evening we were offered a glass of wine and freshly baked homemade cheddar crackers (they were as amazing as they sound). One morning we had the privilege of getting a tour and hearing the history on the house. They were also willing to share their story on how a British couple ended up in North Carolina. Andrew and Mary offered advice on local activities and restaurants. In general they went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time Salisbury.
