I reached out to the salon a couple of hours after to explain what had happened and got no response. I called the next day and left a message and texted again. No response. They charged my card the FULL amount because I missed my appointment. Because I understand it is still a business and they blocked that time for me, I felt horrible but wanted to see if maybe they can credit back at least half of what they charged me as I am also not working and I used money I got as a gift to prebook. I called to see if maybe they could work with me and at least refund half of it to my account. I even stated that in my text and voicemail. Never got a response. I understand I signed a form saying I'd pay in full if I was a no show. Why on earth would I leave my card on file if my intention was not to show up? Even if they had called back and said they couldn't, I'd understand. It's the principle... they never reached back out after several attempts of me trying to reach them. It was very upsetting and unprofessional. I think some customer service classes would benefit this business. Edit: She told me to call her instead of calling my husband after an accident. and that's why she ignored my calls. Petty much? It wasn't a matter of respecting time, it was an unfortunate circumstance that needed immediate attention. My attention was focused on making several phone calls in the heat while in pain. The point is you didn't return my call, lady! I'm talking about customer service! I wasn't having a drink and tanning and ignoring your texts and calls. I had to pay in advance of the service, which I always find odd, but also can understand. They take credit card payment and you can tip using the card too, but of course cash is best for tip. I had a really awesome massage from the lady, got her name, and received their card, but when I got home I discovered there was like a stamp program thing on the back of the card and they didn't provide that lol. The next time I got a massage, I asked for two hours and they didn't make me pay in advance. I got another lady and she started off really bad by slapping my neck around that I was just about to ask for someone else and then it got better as she actually massages me. She was good for the most part, but then I noticed she was on her phone while she was massaging me. You know, the one handed massage. The buzz of the phone. The clicking of her typing? Now you shouldn't do that at all, but I can understand if you need to do a quick read and reply text since--stuff happens. But she was constantly on it so I stopped the massage and she was surprised. She told me it would be a 90 minute massage charge which I said fine, but when I got home, I realized it has only been like a maybe 75 minute massage. I got her name and then asked for the prior girl's name so I could book with that girl again. The one thing she did do for me was mark my card twice to reflect my first service so I appreciated that. Because of the second girl, I had to lower my stars and honestly, I would have lowered it to three, but that really isn't fair to the business since most people don't take the time to read the reason why so thats why it's four stars. If it hasn't been for that second lady, I would have given this five stars since I had great massage at very reasonable costs. There's ample parking outside. It's quiet with great relaxing soft music playing. Massage oil is okay--not too smelly. The first girl is very thorough in her massage and I appreciate that as that is rare. They have a bathroom for use and it looked like maybe a shower as well? I haven't used the shower. I'm sure I'll be coming back for more massages and can recommend at least for the girl I like.
