*review is based on reply to AI find-a-business conversation only*…read more TL;DR: weren't able to do a simple alteration (due to a quality that i noted in the AI chat message sent over to them) that another business had no problem with, BUT they were quick to reply and told me no without having me come in im not sure how simple of alterations they do, but it seems to be simpler than the surrounding businesses' usual. i was requesting a simple side take-in of a polyester dress with mesh overlay (notated in the AI message sent out), but they were unable to do it. for background, i am an intermediate-level DIY seamstress, with a grandmother who runs a sewing/alterations store (a state away which is why i reached out to businesses here). this is a pretty simple alteration, so i was surprised when they said they could not do it. i drove to the closest alterations place that was open, and they had no problem with the dress fabric regarding the take in (i showed the dress before i bothered trying it on to make sure) i am attaching the details yelp provided to the business as well as the conversation. the only additional thing i added to the AI was the part of the side seams with zipper in the back, maybe altering cups (after i responded to them saying that, for the other businesses to see that information) im not sure if this is a review more so on the business or AI feature. i will say- they were quick to reply and did tell me no, rather than having me come in and telling me no or potentially messing up the dress.

It was a tan basic suit, which to top, they ordered the wrong color and then blamed the bride for it when she called to let them know. THEY DON'T HAVE THEIR OWN TUXEDOS TO RENT OUT. They also did not have the color ties requested and just issued tan ties without asking the bride what other color she would prefer. Had to get a phone call from the bride how they made her feel about their mistake the week of the wedding. No discount for 5 total suits rented in the wrong color btw. My husband works late hours and they are closed by the time he gets out, so they added $50 for 2 days late. We live 40 mins from Shelbyville and are a one income family. When I called to explain our situation and settle the bill, it was $285!! I spoke to the owner to try to work a payment out and she was completely rude and unsympathetic. Instead she tried to embarrass me by threatening to call and make the mother of groom pay. When I explained to her she didn't need to get her involved and that I could pay her on Friday when my husband gets paid (I spoke to her on a Wednesday), she said just to call the dry cleaners and pay with card over the phone. When I did call on Friday as promised, they said it would be a $9.99 additional fee for using a card to pay, which the owner also failed to mention. $300 for a rental?!? I have never had to pay so much for a rental tux that was worn for one day! That's a month's worth of groceries nowadays. Please save your money and go somewhere else where they appreciate your hard earned money and patrionage. Never again.

When I put it on to wear it post-cleaning it was comically small, as if it had been laundered and not dry cleaned. In short, after three trips to the cleaners to try and get reimbursement for their error, I finally got a check mailed to me for the cost of the sweater. Sheila, the owner, was very rude and condescending during every exchange I had with her, demanding I come in and try the sweater on for her (no), telling me it was an "old" sweater, (also, no), and insisting that it would be easier for me to pick up the check than it would be for her to mail it. Done.
