I have another daughter who will be getting married next year. We've started looking for her dress. We had a great experience at the first place she looked and definitely have some front runners. She had an appointment on a Saturday morning. Five us were there with her. None of us could believe how bad our appointment was. I can't even call her a consultant. She was a flat out sales person. She didn't listen to what my daughter was telling her. My daughter could barely breathe in one of the dresses and the sales gal went on and on about the dress. She literally said to her, "I can tell you don't even want to take it off" as my daughter was saying how she couldn't breathe in it. She was pushing the look over comfort. Most of the time my girl didn't like the look or feel the comfort. Brides are in their dress for hours and hours on their wedding day so of course comfort is important. There was a dress that my daughter kind of liked. She pointed out what she didn't like about it. The sales gal said that all kinds of changes could be made. Now, I know that each of those changes cost money, but she never mentioned that fact. She was also not respectful of my daughter's budget. The sales person was extremely pushy, a little rude, and dismissive. She almost seemed angry that we didn't purchase something that day. I have a third daughter. When it's her time to get married, I know where we won't be going.

Unfortunately, the selection was much smaller than we expected. What was even more frustrating was that the consultant did not seem to listen to what we were looking for. We specifically requested light blue dresses and no lace, yet she repeatedly brought navy, silver, several other colors and lace that we had already said we were not interested in. It felt like our preferences were being ignored entirely. The customer service was also lacking. While trying on dresses, she would simply toss the next dress into the fitting room while I was still changing. When I finally had a dress to on, she was unable to zip it- stating she broke her hand over a year ago and thankfully the family members who came with me were able to help. Because of the poor service and limited selection, we ended our appointment early and called another store, which thankfully was able to fit us in the same day. After driving two hours based on Mimi's advertising, the experience was extremely disappointing. I would not recommend Mimi's to anyone shopping for a Mother of the Bride dress. The selection did not match the advertising, and the customer service fell far below expectations

I sent her a box of my dresses..because there wasn't much movement and a good amount of time had passed. We spoke ,and settled on just sending the dresses back.. They send all but one back. I inquire about the missing item she mentioned it was on "hold".. more time passes. Just so happens- I have a major film buyer in town needing a dress. I tell her about Brides by Dizine and she could "buy" the one dress that has been on hold , as weeks had passed and I hadn't received payment. The film buyer drives an hour out of the way to purchase. The dress is not there. Trish tells her, it's sold! I would have never sent the buyer an hour each way out of the way. As I assumed, I would have either heard communication or received payment. It's been years! No dress , no payment just unanswered emails. I feel completely blindsided and taken advantage of. At minimum, the truth and communication would have helped tremendously. I understand small businesses can be difficult .. but totally taking advantage and not paying someone their rightful payment is the worst!!!

She was nervous and upset because her wedding was in 4 weeks and her dress hadn't even arrived yet. That is scary on its own. The manager was literally yelling at the bride and we could hear everything. It was SUPER unprofessional. Our stylist even apologized... the bride said to us "do not buy here". We listened to her, obviously we do not want to go through that if we have issues too. The bride was in a crunch and literally showed up at our next appointment - she bought a different dress at the other shop. Like I mentioned - our stylist was friendly, but I don't even remember her name. We didn't connect. I felt comfortable at the other places and got to know the stylists and had conversations with them.

My consultant was Lydia and I cannot say enough good things about her. She was the perfect hype woman but also made sure that my opinion was what we focused on. They had me send in pictures of dresses I liked before my appointment so dresses were pulled that I would like ahead of time. This helped stream line the process so much. After the first round of trying on all the dresses Lydia helped me talk through all of them and narrow it down, but also pulled more dresses based on styles I liked on! I was also asked about my budget before my appointment, and they only brought out dresses that were within my budget. I'm so thankful for this because it would have been horrible to fall for a dress I couldn't afford. They had a wide range of prices so I didn't feel limited by my budget at all. I never felt rushed at all which put me so at ease with the whole process. I had to put my dress on 4 times total to finally make a decision but once I said yes Lydia made me feel so confident in my decision. She decided to come back to Mia Grace and revisit her two favorite dresses from the first appointment. The consultant from her first appointment was Stacy and she was great! I already talked about her in my first review. She wasn't working when we went back. We worked with Alexis the second time. She was also great! The two women had completely different personalities, but they worked well with my daughter. This daughter is super chill and easy going. My other two daughters were with us as well. We all had a good time and left after ordering a dress and a veil! One of my other daughters had bought her dress here a few years ago and it was a good experience. Both times, we were able to find " the dress" and stay within budget. I highly recommend Mia Grace! They have a ton of dresses in all different price ranges and the staff are wonderful.

I was specifically looking for a lace dress with some kind of sleeves for my September wedding…read more After visiting one dress shop that didn't have many styles with sleeves (Blossoms Bridal in Ellisville) I googled something like "unique wedding dress shop STL" and found an article listing Chatfields. I called, Debbie answered and luckily for me she told me to come on over that day! Chatfields is located right off Hwy. 44 in Valley Park. The shop is clean and well-organized. Debbie started by asking me about myself ("Why do you want a modest dress?" etc.) to find out what I was looking for. I told her what I liked and she pulled dresses in that style for me to try on. She even asked if I wanted her assistance in the fitting room to respect my privacy. She is VERY professional and thoughtful. After trying on a few dresses I found the one! She only had the dress in a knee length version in two sample sizes--one that was too large and one that was too small--so I tried on both to get a good idea of how it would look. She put some beaded belts on me so I could see the finished look, which looked great. In the end she was able to order the knee length dress and just add 13" of lace to the bottom of the dress to make it floor length, which was perfect. The price was excellent (I believe all her dresses are under $1000?). We ordered the dress on the spot (half down at purchase, half at pick up) and she was very helpful about when it would arrive. Great experience!
