Absolute wonderful cafe! Delicious, daily free samples of their treats so you can decide what you like best. Beautiful cakes and desserts. I always get a small iced vanilla latte with almond milk when I stop in. Best tasting coffee I've had since I moved to Atlanta hands down. It does get busy so I tend to go earlier in the morning or later at night. Just a heads up. They also have really great bubble teas, regular tea, and staff. I have always liked White Windmill, but I think so does the rest of the world because every time I go there, I feel like everyone is there also. This particular location is always busy. For that, my fondness has waned a teeny bit. I have always liked their quaint and cozy ambiance. It's very nicely decorated. On a side note, some new decor I saw today are white cherry blossom branches that is carried by Pottery Barn. These branches are new for Spring 2011. I digress... The baked goodies are off the chizzain. They are really good. At first, I didn't like the idea of packaged goodies bc it makes me question their freshness, but the WW does not fail. The baked goods they sell are very tasty and fresh. They also have samples for you to try, but they're usually gone by night's end, dang it! I was lucky enough to get a bday cake from WW from Tom C. and friend. I love Asian cakes because they're not as sweet or heavy as American cakes. They also have fruits in and/or on them. Asian cakes don't overwhelm me as much as other cakes. 2dubs also serves boba, coffee, and hot tea. I have had all 3. It's all good, just hella expensive, so are the cakes and some baked goodies. I will indulge in their rose tea because it's very fragrant and they serve it to you in a pretty tea cup. It makes me feel like a lady and that's exactly why I order it. Their boon is also my bane. This place is very popular w a lot of ppl. So there's all sorts of ppl here; college kids "studying", dates, meet ups, and such. This equals to no chairs for Han. Ok this place is COOL! I've driven by it probably a million times (aka every day on my way home from work) and I finally tried it last weekend! I had a friend in town and we'd had a big, fancy brunch the day before and were feeling something a little quicker and more laid back. My first thought when I walked in was that the inside was larger than I thought from the outside and my second thought was, "omg bread!" Y'all, they have pastries just lining the entire hallway to the counter and all up and down in front of the counter and you can try them all, for free! My friend and I probably walked around for like 10 minutes sampling and trying to decide what to buy. I chose a bread twist that kind of reminded me of a blueberry bagel (I really can't remember the name of it though) and a chocolate croissant. Their coffee was also pretty good! I always enjoy my time here! I work remotely every so often, so whenever I'm up on Buford Hwy, I love to pop over here and get some work done in a quiet setting. The ambience is always really nice and if you get to snag one of the chairs by the window, they're super comfy. I'm a creature of habit, so I always get the lavender milk tea and it's always been super tasty. They're also really quick with your orders and the staff is always really kind. Literally the worst customer service ever. I don't think it's a valid excuse to forget someone's order because it's busy. I ordered shaved ice and two cakes from their shelves. The cashier told me the orders are backed up and that it would take 10 minutes or so, which was FINE. 20 minutes past and after seeing so many other people that ordered after me get their food, I asked where my order was. They looked confused and said that the orders are backed up. ANOTHER 20 minutes later, it felt way too ridiculous to be waiting ~40 minutes for freaking shaved ice so I asked again. They said that they sold out of shaved ice and they already completed all the orders for shaved ice. Literally what the heck. I asked for a refund and left. Pretty ridiculous and probably the worst service I've ever received. This kind of issue could've been avoided if their serving methods weren't so sketchy. I didn't get a receipt for my order and they didn't take my name. They call out orders without a way to make sure that the orders get to the actual customers who paid for it. Who knows if someone else took my order or if they just forgot it? No way to tell. read more

I love getting to stop in at White Windmill! As I used to live in Korea, experiencing over-the-top Korean bakeries again is always a treat. White Windmill has so many pastry and baked good options, it's hard not to find something you'll love, especially with all the samples they have available (please use a toothpick!). While I would like to see more latte options available, the more Korean options, there's still a lot to choose from. White Windmill also serve patpingsu and other pingsus (a Korean shaved ice dessert) in the summer, as is traditional. If you're wanting a taste of Korea but aren't into the usual Korean BBQ places, White Windmill will give you a just as authentic Korean experience. There's also free wifi. :) read more

Loved it! Had honey ginger tea and cranberry fig muffin and all was delicious! The best part is they have sampling's kept for all their baked goods which makes it easy to make a decision! Definitely sets them apart from other bakeries for doing this. Overall good place and a must try. read more

I love White Windmill! I regularly go there on Sunday mornings, and always choose the same thing, onion pretzel, creme bun, and hazelnut coffee. One thing i REALLY like about WW is that you can ask for a real cup...I hate drinking out of paper/styrofoam cups. IMO their prices are slightly higher than Paris, also on Buford, but their coffee is MUCH better. The only other thing is they have a $5 minimum on their cc purchases, but for me it's not a problem since my items are over that. 11/5/17 update..my bill today was under $5. I handed them my card and it was accepted. Now I can't be sure what their actual policy is on this, guess it will be hit or miss. read more

Love this place! I've been coming here for years. It's very close to my house and a great spot for meeting friends and for a change of scene while working . The drinks are varied and good, sandwiches tasty, and many of the breads and desserts are quite good. Love the pretty cakes! It is a little pricey, but for me, the ambiance is worth it. read more

I was in town for a meeting and needed to pick up a dessert to take toit. I was overwhelmed by the amount of beautiful and different pastries and snacks available. My husband and I went there yesterday evening for coffee. It was 15 minutes before closing so they practically shut down everything. I bet you if the owner(s) were there, they would have everything available for sale. The only thing we could order was the packaged tea so I opt out but my husband ordered a tea. Just as we were about to sit down, a server yelled to the dine-in guests, "WE'RE CLOSING IN 10 , MINUTES!" I was taken back by that. I'm in the hospitality industry too and you don't treat guests like that. No joke, they were mopping around us and when we left, the server didn't even wish us well or anything. Sorry to inconvenience you, dude! I frequent this cafe when ever I'm in the area but NEVER going back there again. There's too many other Korean bakeries that will give me better service. First timer and I have to say I am very pleased. The pastries, breads, and cookie are layout perfectly for your easy access with friendly atmosphere. This is the only bakery that I've been to that offers free samples and they won't give you the judgmental looks when tried almost every single bread that they offer. Also their classic milk tea is the by far the best freshly made milk tea that I ever had and I had a lot of them including the one in Taiwan. The prices are just right for all the varity of pastries and breads that they offer. Definitely will go there again when I'm back in town!!! read more

When I stepped into White Windmill, I believed I was in a hybrid of Mozart Bakery, Panera, and Starbucks! LoL. Don't get me wrong....I thought White Windmill was a pretty cute, cozy spot to meet friends, study, and/or kill some time using their free wifi. I also liked how there was a huge selection of baked goods. And the drink menu had a great variety! I ordered the iced green tea and I really liked the flavor. I prefer no sugar in my tea so I was pretty impressed with the green tea flavor! Also, they left the tea bag in there so I can ask for a refill of hot water and some ice! I vowed to return before I leave Atlanta in a few weeks. The sandwich and salads menu is a little limited, so come here only if you're planning on indulging in bubble tea or something else sweet. My chicken caesar wrap was not particularly remarkable, but it did come with chips and 2 tea cookies, and was very fresh and prepared to order. I really love this restaurant. My only quibble would be the parking - it is difficult to get in and out of the lot, but the atmosphere and quality of food and drink more than compensate. The staff is extremely friendly and the food is made to order -- and it's REALLY good! The place is immaculately clean and very cozy with a very small bistro ambiance. When you walk in, you're immediately drawn to the tables of fresh baked goods and desserts, with samples of each. As the bakery is Korean owned, there is a great mix of Asian influenced drinks and bakery options. The bubble tea is quite tasty. I could seriously stand in front of the bakery display cases for a good hour and still not make up my mind. The cakes and pies are amazing, not only to taste, but to look at as well! Oh White Windmill, how I miss thee! I'll have to drive down to LA now for some good Korean bakeries b/c where I'm at, it just doesn't cut it! I've been to all three White Windmills', and each one is like the setting of it's own Korean drama. They all have their own unique style and decor. I walk in wanting to be in the next "Kim Sam Soon" love triangle while I eat my yummy pastry and sip on some hot tea. I love Korean bakeries over American and Chinese ones b/c the baked goods are lightly sweetened, ingredients taste fresh, nothing ever tastes stale, even the 1/2 off day old section. 5 stars for free wifi alone! Used to be one of my go-to places to study in Atlanta. The tables are very sturdy and large enough to fit several people. The warm ambiance and bright lighting definitely added to the study atmosphere, not to mention that they offer desserts to snack on as we attempted to focus on our work. The labels of the goods are ambiguous, but we had fun picking, choosing, and eating! Seating was nice too, I thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the cushioned seats next to the window. The place was packed, but didn't have that 'packed' feel; at least not for me. I would not recommend this place to people wanting to seriously study or work, but then, I wouldn't recommend ANY restaurant for that..that's what libraries are for. read more

I love this place!! So good. I love that you can sample items before you purchase them. I love coming in here to get pastries both sweet and savory. If you come before 3pm you can get their lunch sandwiches that come with both chips and two cookies. I highly recommend the chicken salad sandwich. I love their cute cookies for gift giving. They have a large assortment of teas (yes they have bubble tea) and coffee drinks. They also have these large bingsu dishes or the trendy fish pastries. This coffee shop has NUOVA SIMONELLI AURELIA machine! I expect a good cup of expresso! The barista gave 2 tries, however, it's turn out not as I expected. The bean is over roasted, too dark and bitter. The coffee is not thick enough! Other than that, I like the shop warm atmosphere and variety of bakery. If you have a chance to bust the next time, and hopefully you get lucky enough to get a better barista. read more

This place was great. There were so many samples to try out which is great for people unfamiliar with what Korean baked goods taste like. My favorite was the mochi mochi bread. We ordered the tiramisu which tasted a lot different from the traditional Italian version but delicious in its own way. We ordered the kids Oreo milkshakes and they were a hit!
