    Matcha with almond milk
    Rebecca R.

My review pertains only to their matcha. The color is great, however, the flavor of the matcha itself doesn't really come through. I tried it with two different kinds of milk and was kind of surprised that the vibrant green didn't translate in to better flavor. I've had matcha in different cities, states, and even countries and unfortunately this isn't one of the better ones. Baristas were always kind and drinks come out in a timely manner.

This place should just be called Sidecar Matcha lol because wow! This spot is located in a small market with other vendors, but this was the most popping spot. They had a seasonal peach cobbler matcha on the menu and a banana cream matcha. I ordered the peach and my friend got the banana so we could try both. We also ordered the avocado toast on their extremely limited food menu. Coming from LA, arguably the iced matcha latte capital of the world (aside from Japan duh), I was very impressed with the quality and taste of the matcha here. The syrups were delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed my drink. I would def get the banana matcha if you are torn between which one. Also, a round of applause for the avo toast. It was seasoned and piled with fresh creamy avo. 5 stars, this is a hidden gem.

Came on a Sunday morning to a full crowd and line extending to the back of the market. Wouldn't recommend if you have somewhere to be, so just a heads up. The line moved steadily, I was ordering and had my drink within 15 minutes. The Banana Matcha Latte is trending, so I tried it out. It's delicious and very creamy. The matcha flavor is lost in the drink, and it's more like a really tasty milkshake. I would return likely on a day during the week and try a regular matcha rather than the specialty one, to see how the simpler flavors balance the matcha flavor.

LOVE this coffee shop located in Chamblee Tap & Market. Free WiFi, plenty of outlets and seating, and whole vibe can be found inside. This is the best WFH spot provided you don't need a quiet environment. It's definitely buzzing with life. Now the real star of the show is the coffee and pastries. Usually you have to choose workspace or good coffee - at Sidecar there is no compromise. I had the earl grey latte and my husband got the drip and both were amazing. And OMG the pistachio croissant was the perfect sweet treat. Everyone was friendly and service was quick. I don't think you could ask for more - and yet there's a smokehouse will good food platters located in the same spot if you want a hearty meal! Parking can be a challenge - there's plenty of free parking areas but they are located in different cuts so it helps to take note of where you park. Overall 5/5 recommend this spot and I'll be back time and time again!

Matcha Latte with Oat Milk and Blueberry Lavender

Had to checkout Sidecar since it's a small business and a super cute cafe located in the heart of Chamblee downtown! If you have trouble finding it, look for the Creature Comforts Umbrellas, it's inside the food court. The parking is a bit whack tbh, scraped my car and not a fan of that situation. The only reason I am hesitant to go. The Matcha was absolutely delicious, I mean look at the color. Got their latte with Oatmilk and Blueberry Lavender syrup which ended up costing me $8.64. A bit pricey but their syrups are made in house and they have so many options to pick from. Tried their Sweet & Spicy Chili Toast and I do not recommend at all. It was very underwhelming and I will not get again. Also super expensive for one toast. The service was nice and quick. Recommend for their drinks!

Such a dog friendly coffee shop with kind staff! We enjoyed the matcha latte & coffee with pumpkin in it. Lots of seating inside and out. Reasonable prices. They offered my dog a pup cup which he was obsessed with! We also tried their pistachio croissant and gruyere twist which were both just OK but I didn't mind considering this isn't a french bakery. Drinks are wonderful! Can't wait to come back.

Crumb cake and White Chocolate Mocha
    Kay R.

A friend suggested Sidecar for a coffee date, and it was perfect. I parked across the street at city hall, and it was a quick walk over. Once inside, I was able to quickly place my order. I opted for the white chocolate mocha and crumb cake. The cake was delicious! There are outdoor and indoor seating options. Outdoors was perfect for the weather!

    Avocado toast and hibiscus tea

Cute coffee stand and good place to work! I'm not a huge coffee drinker but I really enjoyed the hibiscus tea and their avocado toast was phenomenal. Service was extremely friendly and fast, and she offered to answer any questions I had about the menu. Sidecar is located in Chamblee Tap and Market and there is a small parking lot beside it. Temporary parking is also available and the address is located on a sign in the lot; lots of street parking is also offered around the area.

I was out running errands with my family and decided to stop by Sidecar Coffee for a quick pick-me-up. Sidecar is a stall located inside Chamblee Tap & Market. Parking is limited to the small area next to the market as well as street. They serve coffee, tea, as well as breakfast and lunch toasts and sandwiches. The staff was friendly and helpful. I ordered a hot honey-cinnamon oat milk latte for myself, iced dirty matcha latte for my son, and a hot Americano for my dad. Our drinks were prepared quickly. However, they made my son's matcha hot instead of iced. When I brought it to their attention, they quickly fixed it. Our drinks were delicious. My latte was smooth and helped me get through the rest of the day!

This place has some of the best coffee, but they are really small. I cannot believe all they get done, considering they serve pretty good breakfasts, in addition to their full coffee menu, The employees are so nice, and I really appreciate that since they are dealing with customers back to back, I never see a break in their line. They have indoor and outdoor seating, and they have their own parking lot that is small as well as parking available across the street. This is a very family friendly location that is also a brewery/BBQ joint at in the afternoon. The coffee alone makes it worth the visit, but it is a great place to meet with friends and I would suggest going out of the way for it.

    Sylvia Y.

Cute coffee stall and good place to study! I love their matcha and their offering of seasonal drinks. I got their iced matcha latte and breakfast sandwich! The matcha had good flavor and was relatively rich, and the sandwich was filling and just a touch salty. Service was extremely friendly and fast, and she offered to answer any questions I had about the menu. Sidecar is located in Chamblee Tap and Market and there is a small parking lot beside it. Temporary parking is also available and the address is located on a sign in the lot; lots of street parking is also offered around the area.

Saturday afternoon at Sidecar Coffee Shop, located in Chamblee Tap & Market, turned out to be an unexpected delight! While exploring the neighborhood, I spotted a sign that led me here -- and I'm so glad it did. Upon arriving, I was greeted by a friendly cashier, and the entire team behind the counter impressed me with their proactive and coordinated effort in preparing specialty drinks. Their teamwork created a welcoming and efficient vibe. After browsing the menu, I decided on an iced caramel coffee paired with a slice of banana bread -- and both were absolutely delicious! The rich caramel flavor in the coffee was just right, and the banana bread was moist and flavorful. Sidecar offers ample seating both inside and out on the patio, making it a perfect spot to hang out, study, or simply take a break. Convenient parking is available on the side of the coffee shop as well as on nearby streets. I'm excited to have discovered this gem and will definitely be returning soon!

There is Limited parking in front of the building. It's a small cafe apart of a food hall. I tried their seasonal coffee but next time I want to try their various syrups that they make in house. Reasonably priced coffee. I don't know if I'd pay $9 again for the croissant. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. Lots of seating inside and offer for here or Togo.

At first there was a mix up with who was serving us do we got explained the drink menu twice. After our appetizer, we waited about 30-40 minutes for the rest of our items which took longer than we thought. They did give us some house made popcorn to keep us busy. Jahjoy pork belly: Tasty & tendor. I loved the papaya salad which left a refreshing contrast. A bit too saucy for me. Flavors were strong. Squid ink bucatini: our favorite! Must get dish - bucatini is perfectly al dente & the spicy sauce was very flavorful. Jumbo shrimp was delicious, and the anchovy on top left a nice strong flavor. Red snapper: This has some Vietnamese influences with the sauce. It was a lighter dish which was just OK for me, I would have liked the fish to have a crispier skin. Not much flavor besides the sauce which is inspired by canh chua. Wagyu flank steak: cooked to perfection and flavored well, loved the celery puree which was much tastier than we expected celery to be. Dessert was mint chocolate cake which was very tasty. I wish the cake was softer and meltier in the center but it was still good. Malt gelato was delicious. Could def taste the mintiness. Creme pat along the edges was a nice add to the cake with cacao nibs and popcorn for a textural contrast. I enjoyed it!! Overall we had a great meal and could tell the ingredients were very fresh. The presentation for all the dishes was beautiful!! We can tell the chef puts care in his food :) Appreciated the personal touch - they gave a handwritten card to my husband for his birthday!

After a few visits, I've tried a good variety of the menu: * **Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich:** This is served open-face and uses a mix of Sichuan and Calabrian chili. It is absolutely amazing, but fair warning: it is *hot*. Even if you're used to Sichuan spice, this one may still be tough to deal with, but it's still incredibly flavorful and enjoyable. Just keep in mind that they don't adjust the heat level for this one. * **The Greens:** These are wonderful. They have a rich, savory pork flavor and are easily a must-order for me every single time. * **Shrimp and Grits:** This has a fantastic sauce that strikes the perfect balance--not too heavy, but not watery either. My only minor wish is that they'd add some andouille sausage to it (even if raised the price), but it's still a really well-executed dish. * **Southern Pho:** Really great and super hearty. It's a comforting bowl, though probably best enjoyed during the winter months. * **Drinks:** The cocktails are always creative and well-made, and they keep a really interesting beer list on hand too. ### 2. The Ambience The vibe here is great. The interior feels like a charming, cozy little house you'd find in Savannah. I especially love the bar area, which has these really cool copper chandelier lights that give the space a warm, inviting glow. ### 3. The Service The staff has been consistently friendly and welcoming every single time I've been here. The Summary I honestly feel lucky to live close to this place. It doesn't get much love or mentions from the Atlanta social media crowd and local press (the good news is you won't encounter a lot of annoying people lol).. I'm a fan though.
