We did not expect to find a French place anywhere in the vicinity, but we did. We had such a great time at Restaurant O, we went back a second night. We made reservations for Friday at 5. When we showed up, we were greeted by Patricia and instantly fell in love with the look and feel of the place as well as Patricia's hospitality and attentiveness. The menu blew us away-- it had all the things: Foie Gras, Oysters, Escargot, Tartare... the list goes on. We're used to enjoying this type of menu in Portland, but finding it in tiny Coos Bay was a real treat. The wine list was fabulous. Everything we had was prepared with great care and presentation. The room was nicely decorated with various pieces of art along the walls and on the tables. The appetizers of pork belly buns, truffle fries, and Thai spiced steak tare tare were wonderful. Chef O also sent us a complimentary appetizer as the food took a little longer. It was very nice of him to do so. Bill told us they were down one chef and had the party of 30.
