The wife and I always are on the lookout for a good dive bar. This place comes up under a search for them. I personally didn't think it was a dive bar. Spacious and clean. Pool tables and tv's. We sat at the bar and checked out their menu. They offered pizza among many other things. Check out their menu. I started off with a Tanqueray Martini (with 3 olives, please) and my wife had a double Vodka with a splash of Cran. Her's was strong! Mine was a pleasure to drink. This friendly, convenient, reasonable (CASH ONLY--but there's an ATM) tavern has it all! From the cook, Sean, to Cody on the waitstaff, to the bartenders--they are polite, pleasant, fun, and helpful. The chicken pesto pizza was...and I'm not kidding (and I'm 70)...the BEST pizza I've ever eaten! Thankfully I got a large and had enough leftovers to take home and have 3 more meals. The TVs are large and have really good quality reception. It was football game day, and even the patrons were respectfully expressing their enthusiasm. We stopped in on a Sat morning right after opening. We were pleasantly surprised with the place. Our first surprise was that they had Buoy IPA from Astoria. Mmmm good stuff. We sat at the bar and enjoyed our brew. We both like horse racing and I asked the waitress to turn one if the tvs on to horse racing. She did and we sat down at a table and enjoyed another beer. Service was excellent, the whole place was clean, and the bathrooms were clean! What more could you ask for. This is the local watering hole with fantastic prices, super friendly bartenders, great pub food, and a fun atmosphere for a night out. It's cash only but has an ATM, jukebox, pool tables, and darts. Literally the best dive bar (and I mean this in the best way, I LOVE a good dive bar) I've been to. Owners and staff are amazing, and I love supporting small businesses. Pro tip for all the tourists: rent a crab pot from Tony's, let it sit at the docks and check your traps every 45 minutes or so in between beers at the Arcade. Make small talk with the locals, you're sure to have a great time. 10/10 would recommend. read more

Did a really good job trying to enforce the COVID restrictions despite push back from multiple regulars. Stopped outside and talked to a couple of locals telling me they had grub like the basics, so I went inside and ordered a damm good burger and fries with a few cold ones. My wife and I are traveling, we needed food and a restroom. Both were perfect. The menu was really short, we were a little Leary. The food was spectacular for a tavern. My hot dog was hot until the last bite, the cheese was melted perfectly and in great plenty. My wife had the chicken sandwich. The Tots were perfectly fried and hot. The bread was soft and cuddled all the items I wanted in it perfectly. Out barman asked all the right questions for food possibilities and he was attentive checking back. The young woman that made the food also brought it to us, she was charming. She checked back. Everyone was safely separated. We looked at two other food establishments, not welcoming at all. I am a Restaurant Manager and my wife is a retired Executive Chef. Our tab was $16.50. We would have payed double. We talked about how wonderfully perfect our meals were, in a small tavern, all day. Went here while out in Bandon for a drink before dinner. Pretty basic little place down in old town Bandon. They had a couple pool tables, darts and a juke box playing. It was actually pretty busy for a late Sunday afternoon but I didn't really see much else in Bandon for pubs/taverns. Had few drinks and watched the baseball game they had on TV. Didn't try the food there, not actually even sure if they had any. Prices were good, we hit them at happy hour so good cheap drinks. I'd go back again if in the area. read more

Stumbled into this amazing bar while traveling on the Oregon Coast. This place is a true insight to the life of Bandon. There is nothing like this in Manhattan. We drank Bandon Ale for $3!!! Sad. Tried this place a couple of times because the tavern has been here almost as long as the town. It is about the only full service bar on the waterfront and has more windows than walls and is affordable but the tension in the air is unbelievable. The locals sit on the right and the boys that pack the golf clubs stay at the end of the bar on the left considering who the money decides to pick on today watching sports and featuring their personal microbrewery pick of the day.
